The worst hostel experience! I stayed at this hostel recently and I was unfortunately robbed a large sum of cash despite paying for a hostel locker. DJ was unhelpful, dismissive and tried to avoid the entire situation. I showed up with the police after he would not help me file a police report, he would not even look at the CCTV footage! I felt very unsafe in the hostel after the incident and judged by the volunteers. I would strongly advise backpackers to avoid this hostel.

The owner is so kind & I feel bad leaving a negative review, but I booked this based on reviews & it was so bad I ended up leaving after 2 days and had to book an expensive hotel. Pros: Kind owner, nice staff. Good location Cons: Dirty & ants/bugs in room/bedding Showers: dirty and small. Only 2 in whole hostel. Rooms: so small I couldn’t even open my suitcase between the beds. So noisy - I couldn’t sleep & left. Not social (very tiny area to socialise)

C'était une guest house bien placée qui faisait l'affaire pour 1 nuit mais pas plus. Il y avait des cafards dans ma chambre, les salles de bains n'étaient vraiment pas propres, pas d'option petit-déjeuner, le personnel n'était pas accueillant, et en plus de ne pas être très grand (ce qui n'est pas si grave que ça en soit), ce n'était pas chaleureux. Je ne recommande pas pour plus d'une nuit?

Stayed here just for one night and glad I did so. The girl who volounteers there had probably forgot she was still working. Not only she checks you in without providing any information, she is also rude and unapproachable if you need anything: I was visibly struggling to use the kitchen but she would just sit there scrolling her phone. I was really disappointed with my stay at Time Travelers - so much so that I had to leave to find an alternative hostel after just one night. The room smelt awful, the bathrooms were disgusting and there were very little facilities at all (small common area / kitchen which was not very relaxing at all). It was impossible to sleep because the staff themselves were making lots of noise until 1am, and in general the staff were very unfriendly and overall the hostel was extremely bad value

The place looks nothing like the pictures and is dirty. Only has two bathrooms for over 25 people. To get the deposit back you have to return to the hostel by 9 pm so you can’t stay out late your last night if you want your money back.

The ambiance was nice . But the security of the rooms is terrible … The doors of the rooms don’t close at all…

I booked an entire room for comfort but I think I would have been more comfortable at a capsule hotel. The walls were paper thin, I heard everything as if we were all in the same room. Not enough bathrooms for that many people to share, everything felt very old and rundown. The location was great though, fantastic actually. But for me, not worth it, I would have spent more money on some other place.

Great hostel with great people ! Everyone here was so friendly and the hostel itself was easy to find and very comfortable :) The location is especially convenient if you’re flying into Seoul because the Hongik University subway stop is a five minute walk from the hostel and is along the all-stop airport line from Incheon International Airport to Seoul Station.

Probably the smallest hostel I have ever been to. While this brought people together and created good connections and communication, it also came at the cost of quietness. The dorms open directly into the tiny reception so it basically felt like sleeping outside. It was extremely noisy over the night and the morning so if you try to sleep before 11 pm or after 9 am, I think this is very difficult. One of the best hostels I've stayed in! Basic but clean amenities, when factoring in the price, chill vibes and great staff, it's definitely good value for money. DJ the owner is an absolute legend who will also play music and engage in jam sessions on request. Would stay again if I'm ever back in Seoul!

I stayed for 2 weeks as a work exchange and it was the best time. I had so much fun, met a lot if nice people and explored seoul ;) miss you all already

It was my first volunteer experience, and I'll be eternally grateful. DJ is an excellent person, and the girls I volunteered with were also very nice. The hostel is very comfortable, and the atmosphere is incredibly friendly.

Really cute cozy hostel. Was small not many people so quite quiet although the common room can be loud at night sometimes but not really a problem it’s a hostel at the end of the day. DJ the owner was AMAZING so helpful his English was amazing and gave us so many good recommendations. The volunteer staff were great too (particularly Abi) so friendly.

Legendary spot here. Great staff and good vibes. Quite nice socially as it’s very small and not many people, so if you make an effort to chat then it’s a nice space to get to know people. Ramen is delicious, and the owner DJ is a legend on the guitar, great outside space in the sun too for mini workout

My partner and I had a wonderful stay here. We booked a private room, it was simple, airy, and very clean (bathrooms too). The vibe is very chill. Would highly recommend, the staff is lovely as well and made us breakfast and tea.

Very lovely owner, whole hostel gives good vibes only. The beds could use an upgrade but are still comfortable but a privacy curtain and a different style of beds would turn this into a 10/10 hostel.

Das Hostel ist total süß und hat eine super Lage. Man hat alles was man braucht! Generell ist es ein kleineres Hostel mit einer familiären Atmosphäre. Der Host ist extrem hilfsbereit und total lieb. Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen!

So I booked TTR based on the reviews and their rating and while yes it was a place to lay my head it was also a push for a lot. The rooms felt like an army base where you have bunks beds tha are falling apart. Sockets that were dirty, bathroom(showers) were not as clean. This felt like I was in somebody old house that was ran down but had been worked on getting fixed. Now yes it is very close to a lot of places but the heel you climb to get here is a pouch everyday to get to and from.

Facilities were very basic and the beds in the dormrooms could be upgraded. I slept in the bottom bunk and the whole bed trembeled with every slightest movement from the upper bed. During winter time it was very cold, especially in the bathrooms. However, the atmosphere in the hostel was great and i’d say that it was a pretty good value for your money. The property was clean and as a solo traveler it was very easy to make friends in the dorm even during low season. I’d still highly recommend...

I am so pleased with my stay here! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating! When I wasn't feeling well, they quickly arranged for me to move to a private and always made tea and coffee. The owner plays the guitar amazingly and he the staff had great recommendations for Seoul!
