Backpack Hostel

The room was dirty and mattress gave me backache. Staff wouldn’t speak English. No lockers and with some funny people walking around I felt unsafe. Never again!

Bed bugs in the beds. When we asked the owner to move beds he said no.

Reception was amazing and so lovely, they helped me sort the slow boat out for the next day! Good location, didn’t realise any age could go so did feel a bit uncomfortable as young solo female traveller with certain people in my room.

Good location right next to the bus station and night market, very friendly staff, bathrooms were clean but it was smelly when we where there, no lockers in the room to put our backpacks or any valuables

Okay hostel. Vibes weren’t amazing and not very social. The roof top was empty whenever I went up there. They didn’t have soap in the bathroom for the whole time I was there. Had a twin room which had an awful smell. Booked the slow boat with them and they were very helpful staff

Was overall an ok experience, however one of the staff members was erratic and shouted at a girl I was travelling with when she was alone in the hostel. It made us all feel uncomfortable and seemed unnecessary. Aside from that a good experience, though, with comfortable mattresses and lots of space.

Es un buen lugar para pasar una noche, no hay espacio social realmente, los baños están ubicados en lugares extraños. Las camas son cómodas, está a solo unas calles de un night market y ofrecen snacks gratis. Es fácil ir al templo blanco y azul alquilando una moto o cogiendo un grab.

Location is great and it’s good for a short stay. They provide free snacks and coffee everyday and staff was really friendly!

The couple who run it were lovely!! They really helped us with the slow boat and the banana bread was so yum!! It was just really quiet when we went so hard to judge for social vibe

Great hostel with great staff in a great location. You can book the slowboat to Luang Prabang with hostel pickup for a fair price, and the owner takes his time to explain how it all works to you so you know what to expect. You can also book a sightseeing tour and there's lots of information at the front desk if you want to go explore in your own! The owner and the cleaning lady are super friendly and helpful, the hostel has a great vibe, and I found it to be very social!

the owner was super helpful and nice actually seemed like he cared and wanted to talk to you and help you with anything you needed sorted. super friendly place would highly recommend if you’re in chang rai

the lady running it is so lovely and accommodating and property is very clean! not the most social but we didn’t stay for long so hard to tell

Not a social hostel but I loved everything else. Super clean, comfiest hostel bed I’ve slept on. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, she baked goods for the guests everyday as well.

Amazing hostel! The owner was so friendly and super helpful with recommendations and helped us find a head torch for the gibbon experience. The hostel is very clean, beds are comfy, and AC and Wifi were really good too. Great location next to the bus station and night bazaar, and it had a lovely rooftop too where you can relax and watch the sunset. Highly recommend!!

This was a great hostel! We also booked our slow boat through this hostel and they helped us so much with the process & the visa application. Would recommend

Amazing. Staff were lovely and so accommodating. Such a nice environment to chill but also areas to socialise if that’s what you want. Dorms are spacious with large single beds which is a plus!

It was a great value and location, close to the night market. Staff were very helpful throughout my stay.

I had such a wonderful time in this hostel. Beds are comfortable, market is close, free cake and coffee and tea every day and Som and Apple are so lovely. Helped me organise the whole Luang Prabang boat and I don’t have to do anything, organised my tours and when I lost my debit card they did everything I could and more to help me sort it out. Eternally grateful and would without a doubt come back and recommend. Thank you so much for everything!!!

Absolutely loved my stay here, it was super clean and I felt very secure there. The two ladies running this hostel were the sweetest people ever and really looked after me during my stay, even offering to drive me to the doctor when I became unwell. The only thing I’d change / update is adding lockers into the rooms.

We loved the staff at this hostel, two really lovely ladies! And the banana bread in the morning was a major bonus :)
