San Jacinto Hostel

Our stay here was over shadowed by the fact that the staff let themselves into the dorm whenever they pleased, two instances include when my girlfriend was in the middle of getting changed, and when we were in bed at 1am, waving a flashlight around demanding that we clean a pan we left to soak in the kitchen. This was followed by a massive argument outside the hostel between two guests at about 1:30 am which i imagine woke everyone on the road up.

They advertise air conditioning………only at night. When it is 100 degrees outside….. saving cost with no air conditioning is awful. Constantly, no toilet paper. Worst place I’ve ever stayed.

Don't go there! At least don't book the dorm or don't stay more than one night. The room was smelling so bad.. the smell was traumatizing.. my stuff kept an awfull odor for days after and I had to wash everything. Shower is not clean, neighborhood is not safe. One wall of the dorm is a locked garage door and you can hear everything in the street. Day staff ladies where so kind. But night staff was rude. The AC is off from 10am to 5pm and the room stay hot in the night.

L’Hostel est assez loin du centre historique 35min à pied. Les pièces sont petites . Il n’y a rien pour poser ces affaires dans la salle de bain. La chambre ainsi que que la salle de bain n’était pas vraiment propre. Le personnel qui prépare le petit déjeuner est très sympa.

the property is not that clean, the facilities are regular, there is a fee for payments with debit or credit card that is not good

with unorganised and unwelcoming staff. lacking very basic amenities. the hostel is simply not set up correctly and the staff are rude. was charged $25 usd for a mirror that broke because it was not secured to the wall. would not recommend

We booked because it said it has air conditioning - it does not. If we knew that was the case, we could have booked a cheaper place. Otherwise a fine hostel.

Did not like it here. It was a terrible location, didn’t feel safe around the hostel, breakfast was awful and no atmosphere.

Excelente hostal

Great little hostel! I stayed in a super comfortable private room. The bathroom was shared with another private room and was very nice and clean. I was looking for a quiet place to relax on my travels and this place is perfect, nice residential neighbourhood with a great shopping centre 10 minutes away. Breakfast was lovely.

Would recommend! Very clean environment, very friendly staff. Women-only rooms are a plus. In a quiet part of town, close to a few grocery stores.

EJEMPLAR HOSTAL

The app says the hostel is less than half a kilometer from the center. The hostel is far from the center and they need to be more precise. It's almost 1,700 and not half a kilometer as it says. The staff is very nice. The rooms are cramped and there is no safe place to lock up important items like a computer or passport.

Breaktfas was very good, city centre was around 30 min by foot. Everything was really clean, bathrooms rather okayish.

Nice chill hostel in the quiet part of Cartagena. Hostel has the basic amenities with big lockers to store your things and very clean bathrooms. Only downfall was the loud music being play from an adjacent building at night but again no fault of their own. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed in a private room with shared bathroom. Aircon in the room was a real luxury in this incredible heat. The maid wouldn’t let us use the washing machine but the receptionist did it for us after she went home. The location isn’t the best. Perhaps a 40 minute walk to the main walled city/getsemani

Bon séjour à San Jacinto Hostel. Celui-ci est à environ 20 minutes de marche de Getsemaní et 45 minutes du centre historique. Les chambres étaient petites mais confortables. l’AC est inclus mais nous avons dû demander à plusieurs reprises de la mettre en marche car les heures n’étaient pas respectées. Bref, bel endroit où séjourner si vous êtes sur un budget!

L’hostel est situé « proche » du centre mais il faut tout de même prendre un uber pour s’y rendre (cher à carthagene). Une seule douche était disponible et les deux autres étaient pitoyables et impossible à utiliser. Dans la chambre (qui paraissait plus grande sur les photos), les casiers pour ranger les affaires ne fermaient pas. Les filles de notre chambre ont été transféré dans notre chambre car PUNAISES DE LIT dans la chambre d’à côté ! Sinon le personnel était à not...

Super cute building and in a convenient area! The breakfast every morning was cooked by a wonderful woman es named Judy. My biggest complaint is that on my last night, someone checked into the hostel at midnight and came into the room, turned on the light, and woke me up. I would have appreciated a heads up from the staff about the late check in since I had an early flight the next day

Nice hostel! Yummy breakfasts, very good kitchen, clean, a bit hot in the common areas but there are fans and there's AC in the rooms. A little far from the center or the beach but I knew that, either a 40 minute walk or a short Uber.

Quiet place, not far from the center. It's very clean and the staff very friendly. Perfect place to stay.

Overall a good value, except for the location. It’s about a 40 minute walk to the centre of Old Cartagena, so keep that in mind. I did end up taking an Uber back to the hostel a couple of times because of the distance. They turn off the A/C from 10AM to 5 PM, so it’s not really a place that you can just rest or hang out during the heat of day, but as a cheap, clean place to sleep in Cartagena it’s a good deal.

Nous avons passés un excellent séjour entre copines à Cartagena. Cet hostel est fabuleux et le personnel au top ! Surtout le petit déjeuner. Merci pour ce séjour !

Buen hostal para estadías cortas. Las camas son grandes pero, por ende, las habitaciones quedan un poco pequeñas. En general todo estaba limpio y organizado. En mi caso, no pude utilizar el locker asignado a mi cama porque alguien más lo tenía ocupado pero me dieron solución. Estuve en una habitación de 4 en el 1er piso, se escuchaba un poco de ruido de la calle pero nada grave. Eso sí, en la mañana sí había ruido de la cocina. La atención fue amable, el desayuno muy rico y la ubicaci...
