Smart Hyde Park Inn Hostel

Filthy hostel. Tables left with food and rarely cleaned. Toilets consistently disgusting — urine on floors and seats, faeces in bowls. Dorms not properly cleaned, with dust and hair everywhere. Flies in showers and toilets, and drains smell foul. Bedding had visible stains. Sleep is constantly disrupted, and staff were dismissive and unhelpful when raised. Extremely poor hygiene and unacceptable customer service.

We need proper showers ,rooms are located on wrong floors , they lack many bathrooms and there were missing toilet rolls in 3 major toilets there. Moreover it was noisy at the hostel and people kept turning lights on till 06:30 in the morning so I could hardly sleep n only got 1.5 hours of sleep which was not healthy for me at all and I had migraine for 2 days. Moreover there was some food stealing going on in their fridges so it wasn’t safe to keep items. Would not recommend this place to any...

Bed bugs. Lots and lots of bed bugs. Super hot rooms with ac that didn't work. Ac outlet was filthy with dirt. Rooms were wlays smelly and linen suplied as only 2 flat sheets, giving the inpression the duvets are rarely washed. Was able to walk in the front door most of the time without using suplied key card. Staff were non chalont throughout and asleep when we checked out. Hostel world should not offer this place to their customers.

Unfortunately, I will never stay at this hostel again. The staff were not the most friendly, and they almost didn't even seem like they wanted to be there. Additionally, the beds for anyone over 1.8m are going to be too small. I am almost 2m tall and when I brought this up to the staff to try and cancel my reservation and go somewhere else, they did not care and did not help, they told me I was stuck here. The rooms are stuffy and smell bad, the bathrooms are also disgusting.

terrible. as a woman don’t stay here I checked in and checked out a hour later. thankfully staff gave me a full refund for after chatting with them for a while.

Don't go here!!! Rooms are smelly and way too hot even though an extremely loud AC is running all the time. Guests left their dirty clothes on the floor or dried them hanging them over the lockers. Bin was overflowing. Toilet is even worse, extremely small, dirty and it's impossible to get ready in there (which you can't really do in the room). People didn't flush the toilet, the shower was also dirty. Weird guests overall, who were extremely loud and rude early in the morning (6am). Felt Unsafe

Horrible hostel. It'll do the trick if you're in a pinch but if you have time to look elsewhere...look elsewhere. Sink was leaky, room smelled, you can't use the kitchen facilities between 7:30-10:00. I only stayed 4 days and 2 out of those 4 days the police showed up to the hostel.

I came today and lucelle was very good with checking me in she has a really nice voice and she is a bubbly person she helped me out and we had a great laugh and she was great at with me in WhatsApp

No shelves in the bathroom area to hang your stuff up when you’re taking a shower, or at the sink where you’re washing your face. That was annoying. One plug by the bed, worked fine for me. There was descent amount of space to store luggage. Bathrooms were kind of gross, but not awful. Good kitchen facilities although I didn’t use them.

I stay in hostels, very good, no problems, excellent food, clean staff. Well done, keep up the good work!

Perfect especially for the price as it is London after all privacy curtains make a huge difference although at times rooms can get hot and stuffy at times a beautiful surrounding area also with areas such as Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens nearby also not to far from Paddington if you like walking or if you prefer taking the tube it will have you to Oxford Street/Leicester Square etc in 15 mins

This hostel was good enough for my trip. However, there were always a few people right outside the hostel that made me feel uncomfortable. The rooms were so stuffy and humid I got sick. Je n'ai pas trop apprécié mon expérience. Lorsque je suis arrivée sur place l'alarme d'intrusion n'arrêtait pas de sonner aux deux secondes le personnel essayant de réparer le tout n'était pas disponible pour m'accueillir. J'ai donc dû attendre un bon 30 minutes. Quelqu'un m'a dit que ça avait été comme ça toute la nuit et qu'il n'avait pas dormi parce que oui, on l'entendait dans les chambres aussi. Dans le dortoir c'est vraiment humide, j'ai eu des punaises de lits aussi.

it's great value, you have all the basics, great location and all that. like as long as you don't plan to spend the day in the hostel it's pretty perfect for London!

Nice hostel in a very good location - 1 min to the underground station, two shops nearby. Kitchen available. You have to pay additionally for the towel and the breakfast if You want. Not very social.

I’ve stayed in this place already 3 times. So clearly I recommend it

Kitchen staff was very rude, the dorms were really crowded and smelled a lot. The kitchen wasn’t well equipped and was very dirty. There are no cozy places to hang out. The beds are really short, so if you are tall, you probably can’t straighten your legs. Overall, not a recommendation.

Cheap and clean hostel for a stay of 2-3 days. However the building is very noisy when someone is walking through nearby.

The hostel in itself was fairly good. The staff was nice and it was good enough for the price. However, I during my 4 night stay in the 12-bed dorm, I was not able to get my eyes shut. Two people in my dorm stank as if they had not showered in weeks, and peoples phones were going off all the time. One evening, a guy started a phone call on speaker around 11:30pm.
