Can’t recommend this hostel. Only plus is the location. Rooms are tiny. If a few people have more than carry-ons,space is an issue. Lockers are small,unstable and noisy. Bathrooms were the worst:two leaking, poorly fixed toilets and only two usable showers, one without a lock. Everything was very dirty and not cleaned during my 5-day stay. There was stuff in the room that belonged nobody. Also, the hostel doubles as a pub=the bar is the reception. A unpleasant and unacceptable place to stay at...
the staff were lovely and always happy to help. however the cleanliness of this place is quite poor. you’d have a shower and immediately feel dirty after, the toilets were always filthy and the ground was always wet/sticky. there’s no curtains on the bunk beds and we had the unfortunate situation where an older gentleman laid completely nude without a blanket so that was definitely a site to wake up to (two younger female). the bathrooms pictured in the listing are for the private rooms.
There were moldy sandwiches on the windowsill that the cleaning lady "overlooked" for at least 10 days
This place has a nice mildew and crust combo. Also has three person bunk beds in the most cramped space ever and bathrooms that turn into swamp of everyone’s foot fungus, which leaves behind a pool of water you’re ment to squeegee up. There was a lot of gross stuff about this place and because of that I checked out and showered in a different hostel.

The hostel has no Schallschutz and on weekends people stay loud until Spätnacht, which makes it extremely difficult to fall asleep
Mold all over the walls in the room. Super crammed, and really hot at night. Unless you have no other options do not stay here, it is a nasty place to spend the night.
bad - the room was incredibly hot and stuffy i cant imagine how hot it gets in summer. the obvious solution is to open the window but then you hear drunk people below, so you need to choose between being temperate or having quiet. this was not helped by the layout of the room, where most beds had no natural light -we saw a mouse in the room. this im on the fence about, its not really the hostels fault that people bring food into the room but there were no mousetraps despite them being aware of t...
Not clean at all. One wc for a lot of people. Bad experience.
Showers didn’t work for 3 nights - smallest room I’ve seen in my life - lockers fit a tiny bag & that’s all - had to sleep w our bags 😭
Limpieza pesima, cada vez que llegabamos al hostel y queriamos ir al baño habia papeles afuera del cesto de basura. La ducha nno estaba bien cerrada por lo que al usarla quedaba todo el baño mojado, tampoco habia trapos o alfombra para secar. Las camas tenian tan poco espacio que al levantarte te golpeabas la cabeza. Solo habia una luz general, por lo que al llegar de noche teniamos que usar la linterna del celular para no despertar a las compañeras.
The cleanliness was bad, every time we got to the hostel and wanted to go to the bathroom there were papers outside the trash can. the shower was not well closed so when using it the whole bathroom was wet, there were no rags or carpet to dry either. the beds had so little space that when you got up you would hit your head. there was only a general light, so when we arrived at night we had to use the cell phone flashlight so as not to wake the roommates.

Great location, selection of beers, and local food, also very appropriate service in terms of bedding lockers and rooms. Very kind and helpful staff. Showers were awful, one was broken, a toilet was loose, lots of grime on the walls. The showers were operational but that is about it. Hallway flooring in first floor looked dreadful. Great experience for meeting local people, place has a nice buzz and comes across as hip.

I was here two years ago and I had a really good experience so I decided to stay here this time too. Unfortunately it was not as positive this time. The restroom was dirty (with poop) and only one shower on three was working (one looked like a work in progress. The room was the same but the bedsheets were extremely thin and damaged, and the lockers were far away from the bed, and there was no way of locking them. I had the opportunity to stay elsewhere so I left shortly after checking in.
Lovely location, great pub and wonderful Lebanese take away next door. Stayed here for two nights, had a great stayed other than the water had some issues so a stand up wash in the sinks were the best to offer. The first night cold water and the second zero/no water at all. As I were leaving the service men were trying to repair to problem. Bar downstairs is great but super pricey, spirit and mixer could set you back just short of 10 bob£ so a little steep. Good staff though 😊
Cute Area. It was a nice to stay. The room was clean. The bathrooms were old and not clean all the time. I stayed there while the week and not at the weekend. Down was a pup and I slept very well I didn’t hear anything. To enter the hostel you always have to go through the pup and all of the people.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. Great location not far from Borough Market.
Lo único que no me gustó es que no tienes cortina para más privacidad en tu cama como en otros hostales y los baños muy descuidados y algo sucios. Fuera de eso todo bien
The only thing I didn't like is that you don't have a curtain for more privacy in your bed like in other hostels and the bathrooms are very sloppy and something dirty.

My 1st time in a hostel, can't say I'd do it again, however can't knock the place, great friendly staff, lovely clean beds, excellent location. Just not my cup of tea sleeping so close to lots of strangers. My tip is to take a padlock. So you can lock your belongings away in the bedroom safely
The room I was supposed to stay in smelled terrible, I tried using the bathroom and it was dirty and smelly. I am not a picky person but after 15 minutes I ended up going to a hotel instead. Could not stay there. I was sad and it cost me a lot of more money, but I couldn't stay.
Great location and amazing food, but security is awful. On my first night a few items went missing, and on the second my wallet was stolen from my locked locker. Staff said they’d check CCTV but never did, even after I gave them the thief’s bed number. There’s even a warning sign about past break-ins, so this clearly isn’t new. A real shame, as it could be a great hostel but it feels unsafe. Look elsewhere.

Cool atmosphere as the hostel is in a pub (and without loud noise preventing from sleeping), very convenient location, beds rather comfortable for hostel standards. The cleanliness of the bathrooms could be better though.
The hostel has a convenient location and good prices. However, if you’re hoping to make social connections, this isn’t the place. Unfortunately, there are many homeless people around. The cleaning is minimal: only two showers (with a strong smell of urine) for the entire hostel, and hallways full of dirt. The bedroom was also dusty, place your clothes anywhere and they’ll pick up grime immediately.
Die Lage und alles andere war super. Leider waren die Zimmer nicht besonders sauber und gepflegt, und die Bäder teilweise echt eklig… alles andere war aber top!
Unfortunately the rooms weren't particularly clean and tidy, and the bathrooms were partly really ugly... everything else was but top!
Staff was friendly, but the facilities were not very clean. I don’t think the shared room or bathrooms get cleaned very often.
Absolutely a wonderful experience all around.
If you’re looking for one step above a homeless shelter this is your place. Many odours in the dorms, no ventilation, limited lockers so you can’t secure your things, the sheets were old and paper thin so you can smell the last person who slept on your mattress. Please deep clean the dorms. A positive were the staff were very friendly and attentive!
