The shared bathroom is one for everyone. Only two toilets one with shower in toilet area. It is down stairs. Navigating the steps is not easy. The bed was very uncomfortable and did not sleep first night. Second I put all quilts and blankets under for padding. Main roons with ensuite are ok I was told. Do don't book private room without ensuite.
Hostel wasn’t too bad to stay at for a few nights but wasn’t any atmosphere and the man who ran the place was quite rude and hard to communicate to as an English speaker. Also tried to make me pay for tea and coffee which I had for breakfast which said was included said was included in the price.
Amazing breakfast and nice folk although easier to communicate if you know arabic, french or spanish. Room was quite hot but super spacious. Rooftop delightful. Much more a riad than a hostel so perhaps more ideal for couples or groups than for solo travellers. Some questionable bug bites at night.
Super mooi midden in de medina. Gezellig niet te groot lieve mensen!
Overall a really good hostel and I would recommend. Lovely hostel and staff, really pretty and in a great central location. Breakfast was okay but overrated isn't best, no lockers and how hot it was at night made me lower the rating. I literally had to sleep out on the sofa it was so hot on the top bunk.
Desayuno correcto Muchas gracias
We had a really nice stay in Dar Dadiclief. The owner and his son are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The property is beautiful and well located. The only thing that could be improved are the shared bathrooms. Not a big deal for a short stay. We highly recommend our stay there and look forward to come back! Shukran!
A great choice for a value-for-money stay at Chefchaouen, and very accessible to all attractions in the town.
Really beautiful hostel in the heart of the medina in Chefchaouen. The room was really nice, and breakfast was a real highlight. The owner doesn’t speak much English but he is very hospitable, and the volunteers were incredible.

Great place to stay!! Staff were so so friendly and room was lovely. Only downside was the mattress was pretty uncomfortable, but other than that everything was great
Absolutely gorgeous hostel in a perfect location, very easy to find. I didn’t find the staff particularly warm or welcoming but the people in my hostel were absolutely fabulous. The shower is very small, but water temperature and pressure decent. The room I had was fantastic.
I spent 3 days at Dar Dacilef and it was fantastic. If you want to stay right in the middle of the markets and experience what it’s like to stay in a riad, you definitely have to go to Dar Dacilef. The nights were a bit cold, but every afternoon the host lit the fireplace so it stayed warm inside. Every morning you get a fresh breakfast, like a traditional Moroccan breakfast, and the host is very attentive and cares about all the guests. Thank you so much!
Great cosy vibe, there are only 4 dorm style beds in the guesthouse. The other rooms are more hotel style and I felt like they got slightly preferential treatment, maybe fair enough.

Lovely hostel, super kind staff, a cute common area with a nice fireplace, and an excellent breakfast. I booked the private twin room and it was very comfortable, and they were kind enough to let me use the en-suite bathroom of another room that hadn’t been booked during my stay. Great location too & felt very safe. It was off season and so there weren’t many guests to talk to, but still a lovely place to stay.
it feels like you're in your Home , really peaceful Dar I love it, and of Abdullah was really helpful
Lovely Hostel! Especially during the winter days in morocco due to the chimney! Thank you for your hospitality
Abdul is a great guy. Love him so much. The hostel is cozy and clean. Breakfast is delicious too.
One of the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in, everything about it is so amazing.
Amazing place, best place I stayed ever in Morocco
The cleanest and most maintained hostel I’ve been in on my Morocco trip. Also not very cold compared to the other hostels I’ve been in this winter. Highly recommend coming here.
Entering Dar Dadicilef is like entering a Chagall’s painting. This hostel / guesthouse is as charming and beautiful as it is practical. In the dorm, each bed has large dedicated rooms for bags. The beds are centered around a little table, ideal for a card game (so bring one). The included breakfast was great and the owners were delightful people. Oh, and there’s a nice garden where you can read… Don’t miss this place when visiting Chefchaouen !
This place was lovely! It’s cold at night with no heat but the beds were comfortable with thick cozy blankets, and the fireplace was nice. The father and son hosts are so nice and accommodating. It’s a good cross between hostel with cheap dorm options and a peaceful escape from the chaos of Morocco streets.
Easy 10/10 for me. Great location but super peaceful despite being in the middle of the medina. Staff are super friendly and welcoming, I had some great conversations with them. Nothing bad to say about this place, it was excellent
such a nice place! higly recommend you to stay here if you go to Chefchaouen and want a place to relax, feel what the village has to offer and be immersed in the blueness of it all. The staff are really nice people and just want you to have a good time! Just come here and thank me later
Full disclosure: I 💙 Blue! My recently renovated and renamed "Casita Azul" in Florida has lighter shades inside and out. I chose the spacious Room 6 with a gigantic tub; poor choice as I'd never get in it even to shower. My mistake, remedied by a local Hammam visit. The lovely Room 5 would have been a better fit. Staff is helpful, breakfast good, that 2nd cup of no charge coffee is welcome. This isn't a party hostal, more a lovely guest house. Steps are Everywhere, but there is a railing.
