Das Zimmer stinkt nach Schimmel. Im bad stinkt es nach verfaulten Eiern und ist nicht geputzt. Das Bettlaken war dreckig. Ich habe direkt nach dem Check-in meine zweite Nacht storniert. Am nächsten Morgen habe ich dann noch 1000 Rupee mehr bezahlt für die eine Nacht als auf hostelworld angegeben.
The room smells like mold. in the bathroom it smells like rotten eggs and is not cleaned. the bed linen was dirty. i cancelled my second night right after the check in. the next morning i paid 1000 rupees more for the one night than indicated on hostelworld.
Das Hostel liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße, was man morgens schon mitbekommt. Als wir da waren, war genau nebenan eine Baustelle, auf der um 7:30 Uhr angefangen worden ist zu arbeiten. Es gab kein Moskitonetz im Privatzimmer und die Matratze war wirklich ekelig. Das Badezimmer roch muffig und es war kein Mülleimer vorhanden. Geduscht kann nur mit Salzwasser. Das Personal war freundlich, doch wurde ihre Musik in voller Lautstärke gehört. Pluspunkte gibt es fürs Essen und die abschließbaren ...
The hostel is located directly on the main street, which you can already see in the morning. When we were there, right next to it was a construction site, where work started at 7:30 am. There was no mosquito net in the private room and the Mattress was really ugly. The bathroom was very muffed and there was no Mülleimer. Geduscht can only be with Salzwasser. The staff was friendly, but their Music was heard at full volume. Plus points are for food and the lockable rooms are available
Good place to stay on a budget, has a lockable door & cupboards which isn’t always the case in Sri Lanka! The location is good, along the strip and the owner was helpful with providing more toilet roll and blankets (none in room on arrival). Aircon was good! A down fall was the cleanliness, stains/hairs were found on the bedding. The bathroom drain/sink also smelt bad and the shower would flood the bathroom quickly and take a while to clear. Not very lively for solo travellers (fine as a group...
Friendly Staff, but unfortunately their English was not the best. The dorm was humid & the beds were not really comfy. The food was tasty and good. You‘ll get towels for free. There was a construction site next door so you couldn’t sleep longer than 7.30 a.m. The hostel is safe and you have lockers in the dorm (3 for 5 beds). Bathroom was rudimental. If you‘re fine with a simple and cheap hostel you can stay there - if you expect a little comfort I wouldn’t recommend this hostel.
The stay was okay, the rooms have fans but Arugam Bay is extremely hot. The beds were okay and the staff was really friendly. There is a meeting chill spot to socialize.
Wir hatten ein privates Zummer mit Queensize Bett und Mosquitonetz, das war top! Bad war in Ordnung. Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Hostel isst ganz am Anfang der Straße also etwas weiter weg vom Geschehen. Einziger Kritikpunkt war, dass das Zimmer sehr nach Schimmel gerochen hat und modrig und die AC sich nicht wirklich höher stellen lassen hat.
We had a private summer with Queensize Bed and Mosquitonetz, which was top! Bad was in Ordnung. The staff was very nice and helpful. Hostel is right at the beginning of the street so a little further away from the action. The only criticism was that the room smelled very of Schimmel and muddy and the air conditioning couldn't really be set higher.
Das Zimmer ist einfach, aber hat alles was man braucht. Es hat alles funktioniert. Wir waren im Doppelzimmer . Die Lage ist meiner Meinung nach super- direkt am Strand, der nicht überfüllt ist. Alles ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Leider ist es nicht sehr Social, so dass wir keine anderen Backpackers kennengelernt haben. Der ältere Mann, der dort arbeitet ist sehr lieb und hilft einem bei den Organisieren von Transport usw. Frühstück ist nicht inklusive und kostet 5$.
The room is simple but has everything you need. It worked. We were in the double room. The location is super- direct in my opinion on the beach, which is not crowded. Everything is within walking distance. Unfortunately it is not very social, so we did not meet any other backpackers. The older man who works there is very nice and helps one with the organization of transportation etc. Breakfast is not included and costs 5$.
Came for one day but kept extending for 3 more nights as Saha helped me with surfing Better expected
We booked for one day but extended for 2 more days as the atmosphere is good and the manager himself is surf instructor so he helped with everything we need Definitely come back and see you guys in august
its on main streets with many restaurants nearby. room is clean and good enough

A very nice place to stay in argum bay. The room was very nice and clean with a very big and comfortable bed. It's in a great location close to the beach, shops and many restaurants and surf shops for renting boards and you get lessons. For Saha The host is very friendly and it is overall a very nice place to stay! I would recommend it to anyone! :)

first of all the room was very clean and big. The comfortable bed also very good for sleeping. Every day the breakfast changes. very nice juices and smoothies. very kind and helpful staffs. I extended my stays here. I would really recommend this place for everyone. They doing good laundry. The rooms and place are very quiet.

Chill area at the entrance with free filtered water and cosy beds to rest or chat with your group of friends. Our room had fully functional AC and fan with a big bathroom. Beds were comfortable and the whole place was very clean.

Nice property, Good location, good facilities such as wifi, drinking water, comfortable bed,music and a big screen for entertainment. perfect for backpackers

rooms are clean and comfortable beds lot of facilities in common area which i liked
Had a wonderful time in the hostel It has all facilities and I loved the big screen to watch the live action Staff are always ready to help almost recovered half the money by their water dispenser itself 😂 Safety with lockers and cctv so never worried about my stuff while going out I love this place
