Hotel San Desiderio

Great location near the train station. Walkable town with a beautiful walk to portofino. Had a private room but shared washroom.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It is very well located. Close to the city centre and the train station. Marco was a joy to talk to.

The owner was lovely and extremely helpful, he was the best part about this accommodation. We were upgraded on arrival which we were very grateful for. The location is perfect for everything you need and it felt very safe. For a quiet budget accommodation option, this ticked all the necessary boxes.

This was a very pleasant stay; the staff was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was great. The facilities were clean, not the typical bunk-style dormitory, but it was decorated nicely and unique.Had a great stay and made a lasting friend through it!

So ein Liebevolles Personal, das man nach allem fragen kann, sowie Tipps aus der Region bekommt. Da zu die zwei Hunde die es noch viel gemütlicher wirken lassen. Zimmer auch mit allem ausgestattet. Klimaanlage, genug Steckdosen, Handtüchern usw. Ein Geheim Tipp wenn es darum geht etwas billiger aber dennoch mit klasse zu übernachten

Ce n'est pas le grand luxe et il n'y a pas de marbre ou autre matériau de qualité, mais il y a tout le confort, l'emplacement est très pratique et central, Marco et Filippo sont absolument charmants (NB: ils parlent aussi français), et le petit déj est très bon. C'est donc une adresse excellente. Il y a 2 chiens bassets mais qui ne devraient pas gêner même les personnes qui n'aiment pas les chiens car ils sont très calmes et silencieux.

I highly recommend this cosy hotel to all those who seek a comfy and sweet base for their Liguria trips. The hosts Marco and Filippo were super chill and recommended great places to visit around. Their cute retired hounds hung out with us at most breakfasts:) The place is clean and quiet at night despite being in the centre of the town. You will not miss out choosing it for your days by the sea:)

Very friendly staff, we could store our luggage there after checking out and they gave us recommendations for the area. Was a nice budget option for our interrailing trip. They also provide a simple but nice breakfast for 3 euros. Overall we had a good stay in our eccentric room. **maybe skip if you have a dog allergy since the owners have dogs.

Delightful place to stay! Very homey environment with nice decor, welcoming hosts (and dogs), and helpful recommendations for dinner and parking. Our room was very well equipped with bathroom amenities, coffee, and a mini-fridge. The breakfast offered was also delicious and affordable. We enjoyed walking around Rapallo and visiting Portofino in the evening. We will definitely try to stay here again if we return.

I loved this accommodation. I would 10000% stay here again. The workers were all so lovely and helpful and gave great recommendations. You could really tell that they cared about the service they were providing to their clients. I was also upgraded from a dorm to a private room which was a lovely surprise. It’s definitely a more chill accomodation, so if you’re here to party and expecting to meet loads of people this place probably isn’t for you. I felt super safe in the hostel and in the ...

Hotel San Desiderio is a lovely spot close to Rapallo train station. The staff are super helpful and friendly, and the breakfast is really yummy! Would definitely stay again :) Not really a spot for young people/ much more of a family vibe

The two men owning the hostel were so friendly. We originally booked a mixed dorm room for four but instead we got a room for ourselves, which was big, perfect equipped and just perfect overall. Both of us would definitely recommend staying here! And you absolutely have to take the ferry to San Frutuosso! Best Beach ever!

è stato tutto perfetto, oltre le mie attese. posto fantastico e gente squisita. Poi mi sono fatto 2 amici : Poldo e Zoe haha.

Marco est extrêmement sympathique,il nous a rendu un énorme service en nous proposant une solution pour garer notre voiture en toute sécurité.Petit déjeuner complet, emplacement idéal tout proche du front de mer tout en étant au calme,conseils en français pour organiser notre séjour,tout simplement parfait!

Highly recommend staying at Hotel San Desiderio, it's in a great location just a short walk from the train station and very close to a lot of really good restaurants. I also must mention how welcoming Marco and Filippo were, they were incredibly helpful the whole length of my stay. Will definitely be staying again on my next time through.

Little did I know what a beautiful little hotel I walked in to! Marco, Fillipo, Boldo and Zoe were the welcome committee! Loved the atmosphere, location and Rapallo. Recommed to all who wants a homey style.
