VIP House

Male receptionist was creepy and inappropriate towards female guests. Also looked through our stuff and when caught, said mistaken it for their own bag. I don’t understand their reviews

I got bed bugs here and they refused to take responsibility. I had stayed here for 10 days, left for 2 but returned with no bites, returned, & the next morning I had tons of bites on my back. I left early for a 3 day hike so there was no time to discuss this with them. When I came back the woman wouldn’t entertain the conversation. Super disappointing because I was their guest for many days. Pros - free breakfast (one egg, bread, avocado), some of the staff are cool, beds have privacy curtains...

Overpriced tiny prison cells

Booked a private room and it was extremely tiny. Could barely walk around the bed- definitely over priced (paid $20). You can go across the street and get a much bigger/nicer room for less money.

The staff is great and thats it. the hostel is really really bad - Dirty - messy - old and unorganized - its impossible to be rated at 9+ as it was (there is a mistake some where in the rating). the place is really dirty and the beds are uncomfortable and noisy . the bathrooms are a mess. I was in another hostel and moved to this one just for the location, but I could have checked further. its not recommended to all (only if A LOT of improvements are made)

Es el peor hostal en el que he estado por mucho, no había agua, robaron mi maleta y se tomaron el tiempo de sacar mi ropa y dejarla en una bolsa en recepción. El encargado en vez de darme alguna respuesta se puso a cocinar, le pedí llamar al gerente a lo cual fui ignorado. Perdí mi maleta y la forma de ingresar a mi casa, que pésima experiencia, eviten este tipo de experiencias.

Personally I would not recommend this place. They took all my suitcases and personal items and changed me to another cheaper room without any notice when I had already paid the accommodation. They don't look at you as a client, they look at you as how much money they can make from you.

I was in room 203 for 3 days in July 2023. Water was consistently not working across the entire second floor for multiple days and management said they could do nothing about it except wait for 1 day and try again tomorrow. This place deserves a way lower rating on Google maps and hostel world. If you want water I suggest booking 1st floor only.

The only good thing about this hostel is the staff. The hostel is freezing and there is no heating, we ended up getting into bed under the covers as soon as we got to the room. It’s hard to pack your bag, get changed or even doing anything at all when it’s so cold!! It’s not worth staying at this hostel.

The two guys who took turns ant registration desk annd security were extremely kind and helpful. My room was very cold, tiny, and no heater available. Staff did bring me an extra blanket which helped. Was ok if just looking for a bed.

Great stay here and you should definitely try out the pisco sour class!!

The staff was so incredibly kind and accommodating, easy to book activities very last minute through the hostel, rooms were super clean and beds were comfy, breakfast was great! My favorite hostel stay ever

Moisissures dans la salle de bain. Pas de chauffage dans la chambre en cette saison. Porte de la chambre qui coince, j’ai dû appeler pour qu’on m’ouvre de l’extérieur ! Paiement possible en espèces mais pas de monnaie sur un billet de 50 soles. Donc paiement par carte avec commission imposée Personnel sympa.

Great price, great staff, and location is sufficiently close to Plaza De Armas. Not too noisy from the city at night either. However, facilities in the beds for charging, storing items etc. are lacking, and the showers got plugged sometimes. In addition, the WiFi did not work for the most part the whole time I was there, which was a major disappointment.

Had a great time in VIP House! The people at the hostel are very friendly and helpful with organising tours. Also it is possible to leave your luggage. Would definitely recommend!

Nice hostel, if a bit quiet socially. Very helpful staff, the only problem was that wifi wasn’t working properly for most of my stay, more than three days. I was told ’it must be only my phone’ even though several other guests had the same problem.

The host Rodriguo was absolutely wonderful. Immensely knowledgeable about Peruvian history and taught me more than any guide I met while staying. Really friendly vibe in the hostel generally. I moved to VIP from another bigger hostel which was much less social.

This place is very clean, staff is incredibly friendly also! And directly across the street from a pretty large grocery store which makes shopping before a trek very easy.

my bed was very confortbable, the shower was warm, the breakfast was delisous and the wifi worked great. What else can you ask for?!

Too Lage, ich habe habe mich super wohl gefühlt, nettes Personal, Raum mit Balkon, gratis Pisco Sour und nette Leute! Man konnte auch entspannt kochen
