Bedbugs in multiple rooms…

DONT STAY HERE!!!!!! BEDBUGS EVERYWHERE AND STAFF DOES NOT CARE. This was the worst hostel I’ve even been in during g my 4 months of travel. The staff laughed at us when we showed them the bedbugs in the room, they refused any for on refund and did not take us serious!!!! I had to leave early so I texted them about this matter requesting a refund but they just accused me of disrupting check in (while I was not even in the property????) and then they stopped replying. They are unprofessional.

We found our that our rom had bed bugs at 2am. we wanted to get a different room but there was no one at the reception and the number we could call didn't pick up either. we didn't get a refund for any of the nights we slept there with the bed bugs. we also had to put everything we had including bags in the laundry and we got no compensation for it either. apparently they have been having bed bugs for a long time already but don't tell anyone or do anything bout it

possibly the worst hostel i have stayed at so far. they double booked my bed so i arrived back to find someone else’s stuff in my bed, and this had happened to other people too during my stay. i also booked a van transfer with them to the airport and checked 3 times the day before that it was definitely coming, the next morning i waited nearly an hour and the van did not come so had to pay a lot extra for tuktuk and only made my flight beacuse it was delayed. don’t recommend

Do not book this hostel. We booked it months in advance, on arrival they said they had issues with their bookings from hostel world and were at full capacity with no availability for the next 2 nights. We had to find another accommodation the same night after 24+ hrs of travelling.

We arrived and they wouldn’t let us have our private room because the ‘toilet and air con need fixing’. We said we’d use the shared bathroom and are fine with no air con, they said no. We said can we see the room, they said no. They’ve obviously just double booked and we were put in a a dorm with 13 males. The hostel isn’t safe; the front door stays wide open all day/night and the dorm room didnt lock. No free rum & juice in the evening as mentioned. 3 showers & 3 toilets between all...

Arrived at the hostel, but was told straight away that the rom we had booked was not available due to the ac not working. We told them that this was okay, and that we still could stay in the room. Then they came up with all these other excuses for why we could not stay in the room, and that they had no other beds available. We think they just dobbled booked us but did not want to tell us this. I have also been asking for my deposit back, but they have stoped replying. Would not recommend.

I think the hostel was fine but we had a booking and they said “fully booked” when we arrive very late. We end up with sleeping on the floor….

Awful experience - cancelled my booking on the day and then ignored my messages and requests for a refund even when we went to the hostel in person at an arranged time they conveniently weren’t there.

Sorry i would have had a good time BUT I booked a private room on the app and prepaid a little part of it. The private room wasn‘t available for the day but they promised me it would be for the next day. Had to stay in the dorm and paid full price for it. On the next day private room wasn‘t available again and I still paid full price for the dorm.. They promised me a refund but I never got the refund. + Dugong tour was cruel to the animals, they DIDNT follow the rules! (5000 PESOS) no refun...

Mehr Freundlichkeit und Bemühen von der Besitzerin. Es waren meistens nur die Kinder bei der Rezeption und man hatte lange Wartezeiten wenn man etwas brauchte. 2 Badezimmer sind viel zu wenig für alle Gäste!! Achtung Bettwanzen! Zu wenig Platz in den Zimmern für die Anzahl der Gäste. Zimmer und Sanitäranlagen waren nicht sauber. Generell wäre viel zu renovieren....

I had a great stay at Screaming Gecko, the staff were very helpful and the location was very close to everything we needed to get to. The rooms were nice as well

Das Privat Zimmer war nicht so sauber und das Türschloss hat nicht funktioniert. Nach mehrfachen Reperaturversuchen mussten wir unsere Tür dann mit unserem normalen Zahlenschloss verschließen, weil anscheinend ein neues Schloss erst bestellt werden musste.

Absolute Enttäuschung, bei der Ankunft bekommt man von anderen direkt gesagtvdas Bettwanze gefunden worden. Dann zum wesentlichen, Das Hostel ist komplett unstrukturiert und die Mitarbeiter völlig ungähig. Es sind keine locker vorhanden und nichts funktioniert. Ein Bad für 20 Personen. Sauberkeit katastrophal. Könnte noch ewig weiter schreiben

The structure Is very nice, especially the outside part. The cleaning is not the best, but they ask you to leave your shoes/flip flops outside, which Is not great, especially in the bathrooms. The staff was nice, but they were not always there, which resulted in a bit of confusione before the tour. I think It could be a great hostel if maybe It was a bit more take care of, maybe having more people working there? On the other hand It Is very cheap. Also the 4 people dorm Is outside the structure,...

A really cool family ran hostel, I stayed in the huts which were actually more comfortable than expected, the building itself is really cool and the staff were so lovely, kind and accommodating & will help you with whatever you need. The facilities (toilets and showers) were a little scarce / basic but you can tell there’s constant work being put in to improve them, and the pool more than makes up for it! great location too in the center but still quiet. I ended up extending! thank you 💕

Small hostel with nice pool area. Staff are nice but not always easy to find. Rooms were hot as ac is only on for a few hours near the night

Couldnt be better. I really enjoyed it here. The rooms were really cozy and the atmosphere was quite but not dead

If i could give this hostel an 11/10 I would. I absolutely loved it here! Right in the center of town and super easy to get everywhere. It has a lovely relaxed but super social atmosphere and everyone I met was lovely. The BEST part of the hostel though, is JOY the beautiful woman who runs it - everyone who works there welcomes you with smiles and good vibes!! xxx

I loved my stay at screaming gecko, the staff are all lovely, however sometimes hard to track down. The kitchen was out of operation over my stay, but it was Easter weekend. Joy made us feel like part of the family and is such an incredible host, if I am back in Coron I will definitely stay again 🫶

Great hostel with nice common areas. Clean overall and specially the toilets and showers. Not a party hostel but still social. Close to nice restaurants and small shops! Perfect if your goal in Siargao is to surf due to its location near some of the best surf spots for all levels.

An amazing property worth every penny and more. Super social, the host and staff are so kind. Also the free rum is amazing.

I enjoyed my stay here, the bed was comfortable and the pool was very nice. And the staff was very friendly.. however, it took a long time to check in because staff was rarely around the check in desk. I waited 30 minutes one day to trip book a boat tour and nobody assisted me, I ended up leaving and booking somewhere else. Also, my bed didn’t come with a curtain as described.

Good value for the 6 bed. I enjoyed it here
