Beds are not comfortable at all and it was very cold inside the rooms.

I wouldn't recommend it
We found lots of Bedbugs in different stadiums in our bed and left the Room in the night. At the next morning we asked for our deposit, but instead of taking care of the problem, we were accused of lying. So I guess, they are still crawling around. Would not recommend that place to anyone honestly.
The worst experience that i had ever.
The owner of the hostel was very friendly and helpful. As the stuff. +Has a kitchen. -very old matrases - old equipment -a public house with male sexworkers is just under. Which means that all night someone is shouting, someone is chasing someone and sleeping is imposible. If you are sensitive to the enviroment I wouldnt recommend. Had a very hard sleepless night there before my flight.
La pieza era pequeñita en relación al precio. El barrio es de fiestas asi que hay ruido toda la noche. Colchon un poco duro. Cocina amplia, todo limpio y excelente atención del personal.

The most I like about this hostel is the management, very professional and friendly people.
The hostel was on a street with many people being loud 24 hours days and behavior that coincides with hustlers and street walkers. The good thing was the people working at the hostel would buzz me in the second I rang without a pause so I never waited at the door. The atmospheres felt very aged and cramped but appeared clean. Very basic dishes available with a fudge to store food. Towels were provided. No elevator. Located walking distance of a few blocks from major business streets and metro.
Waaaaay too noisy with a disco across the alley, street walkers, dogs barking all night, partying until 9 am and then the bottle collection begins. Just a very unfortunate spot they're in. Can't recommend it.

This hostel is absolutely superb, the staff are friendly, helpful, full of local knowledge.Taxim Hostel's location is in the heart of Istanbul,Beyoglu and it's an easy walk to get some historical parts of Istanbul and easily access to the main attractions.The building is old but colourful and beautiful.There is a shared kitchen equipped with all necessary kitchen equipments.Free coffee and tea are the pleasant facility.
The owner and the all staff was very polite and helpful. They were ready to help anytime. Location of the Taxim Hostel was very central and easily accesible, within walking distance of public transport like ferries,buses,metros...The hostel offers communal kitchen to use with all kitchen equipments.Free coffee and tea is the bonus.Lovely and colorful place.Paid laundry service is available.I'd like to come anytime again. الموقع ممتاز لمن يرغب فى التواجد بجوار ميدان تقسيم وشارع الاستقلال لكنه فى شارع فرعى صغير وللاسف اتضح ان كل الشوارع الفرعيه تقريبا فى منطقه تقسيم يوجد بها العديد من صالات الدسكو وبيوت الدعاره بالنسبه للاقامه الفندق اقل من المتواضع والغرف ضيقه جدااااااا لكن بالنسبه لى اخت...
The location is perfect for those who want to be near Takzim Square and Independence Street but in a small alley and unfortunately it turns out that almost all the alleys in the area of Takzim have many discos and brothels, for the location the hotel is less than modest and the rooms are very narrow but for me I chose it based on its proximity to transport and location because 90% of the day I am outside the hotel and the owner is a very friendly and respectful person who helps you with all his ...

Tek gece sınav yerime yakın bir yer olduğu için kaldım. Gece hayatının yakın olduğu bir yer, konumun avantajı var tabii ama gece yarısı sokaktan ses gelmesi normal karşılanabilir. Oda içerisindeki yatak örtüsü, dolaplar, banyo ve yerler temizdi. Yatak rahattı. Girişte mutfak kısmında kendi yemeğinizi hazırlamak dışında ücretsiz çay ve kahve imkanı da var. Karşılaştığım çalışan 2 beyefendi ile iletişimimiz olumluydu. Teşekkürler
I stayed because it was a close place for my exam night. It is a place with close night life, the location has the advantage of course but the midnight street noise can be met normally. Bed linen, closets, bathrooms and floors in the room have been cleaned. The bed is comfortable. In the entrance kitchen section there is free tea and coffee facilities besides preparing your own meal. Our communication with the 2 gentlemen I met at the office was positive. Thank you

The room was excellent, the staff were welcoming and very helpful. The hostel’s location is very central. Basically, everything was perfect. Thank you for the wonderful stay. I hope to be there again.
Helpful staff, good location, felt safe particularly with 24 hour reception, very clean, towels provided, kitchen well equipped. The common space was really nice. Apparently it's only private rooms. It wasn't very social at the time (late October).

Taxim Hostel is exactly the kind of place I look for when I'm travelling solo. Cheap, affordable rooms with basic amenities (en suite shower and toilet) and no pointless luxuries, plenty of privacy, friendly, helpful staff, and located right in the heart of the city with absolutely loads of great bars and restaurants a stone's throw away. It's noisy at night, but that's all part of this area's buzzing and lively character. I'll definitely be staying here again when I come back to Istanbul.

The place is ok, no real hostel vibe, the worker I mainly spoke to was grumpy, vague and not very helpful.
The hostel owners were very friendly! I was travelling with my bicycle and they made room so that I could store it inside. Also it was no problem to store my luggage and keep making use of the facilities on my day of departure. And apart from that we had really nice conversations!

This hostel has a very chilled and homey vibe with good facilities. The staff are really friendly and it’s great value for money overall. It’s not an ideal location if you are a light sleeper since the hostel is in the party area and there’s a lot of noise at night, and it’s next door to a brothel. But I would feel safe staying here even as a solo female traveller, and recommend if you’re looking for a cheap and comfy place to stay.
