Lebo's Soweto Backpackers

The place is well maintained and you can feel that a lot of effort has gone into making it comfortable. However, I was very disappointed to see that you have to pay for everything, even for something as small as a soap or a towel. I think there are other ways of making money.

Das Hostel hat eine gute Lage um Soweto zu erkunden aber auch andere Viertel sind gut zu erreichen, allerdings dauert es dann ein wenig länger. Einrichtung ist ausreichend, die unteren Betten haben sehr wenig Kopffreiheit und seine Sachen kann man leider auch nicht wegschließen.

Best Hostel in South Africa! Nice facilities, super clean and amazing food. The staff and even the cat is super welcoming. The Soweto tours are super interesting and filled with touching stories. Good community vibe.

Great place to stay for a few nights in Joburg. Lovely staff who always greet you by name. Clean bathrooms and showers. The breakfasts and dinners are very good too. Would also recommend the bicycle tour. Highly recommend staying at Lebo's!

Loved this property, Friendly kind staff, nice atmosphere, great outdoor space the chefs cook In open kitchens and over the fire, comfy room and great activities- did a bike tour was so interesting and eye opening. Would 100% recommend and go again 🙂

This place was great! Stayed just one night but would definitely stay here again if in Johannesberg. The staff was friendly, property was super cool with a great vibe and lots of spaces to chill, place was clean, showers were fantastic, and the food was delicious. Overall, very impressed with this spot and happy we stayed here.

I really loved it here, the staff is what make it great. I'm an artist and they really connected me to the scene. They also have a great community thing going on and it's honestly such a cute place

I was leaving South Africa after a month and lebo was the perfect place to end my trip. Far from the city center so very quiet and chill. The staff were amazing and the food was great. My only pointer would be to put ac or a fan on the dorms. It was a little bit hot for me

Everyone here was incredible. Welcoming, kind, helpful, and wanting to share Sewoto and South Africa with the guest. It felt like the entire staff knew my name by the end of my first night here and went out of their way time and again to make sure I felt included, appreciated, and was enjoying all aspects of my stay. I felt totally safe both at Lebo’s and around Sewoto and staying here will likely be a highlight of my South Africa trip.

Very lovely place and specially great if you want to get some local experience. Staff was nice and friendly offering all kind of services. Definitely easier to get there when you have a rental. Which is quite inexpensive.

Ich hatte eine wunderbare Zeit im Lebo‘s! Die Menschen dort sind so unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit! Die Radtour war auch super interessant und gut! Ich habe mich extrem wohl gefühlt:)

Excellent. Great staff. Tours are amazing. Food was excellent, especially the soup.

Loved it. The atmosphere is really nice, even though I was there at absolut low season. Dinner was absolutely fantastic and the bike tour aswell. Recommend this over any place in JoBurg.

Lebo’s Soweto Backpacker is a really really nice place to stay. I stayed there for two months and can highly recommend it. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The place itself is beautiful and very comfortable. I also did the 4 hours bike tour through the neighborhood and can also highly recommend it. I learnt a lot about the neighborhood, its history and was able to see how friendly the people living there really are. If I ever come back to Johannesburg, I will definitely come back.
