Kactus - Your Island Sanctuary

It was a decent Hostel. Its the only Hostel and the only Restaurant on the Island so you Kind of have to eat there if you want. The prices were Kind of high, wich I didnt enjoy, Specially since you HAVE to go there. Plus for me the Vibe was Kind of Off with the people, but that could be just for me.

The island is incredibly beautiful however some things did colour our experience in a bad light. We heard dorms were full of bats and rubbish was not regularly removed so rats were running around. The food was a bit expensive and is pretty much the only option but generally ok. We stayed in the tent which was insufferably hot so be aware. The staff were friendly though. One thing to note is that the activities they advertise only take place if enough people are interested.

all in all the hostel was cute. i liked the common area near the beach and the treehouse to chill. you have to make yourself clear your in the jungle. insects everywhere. when i was there we had a water and electricity schedule which was a bit annoying. couldn't use the shower or the toilet because of it. food was really great but expensive if you are a budget traveller.

A cool location. The bar/lounge area is really nice. The place is clean for a tree house concept, though there is a lot of bugs, spiders and lizards. Food is good but expensive. I didn’t like the vibes of the staff, it kinda felt like you were disturbing their vacation when you asked for food or had questions.

If you want to spent a few slow days relaxing and being in nature this place is great for you. It is on a very small island so the hostel is quite simple. During our trip the water and the electricity weren't working a lot of the time but if you can look past this you'll have a great time. There is free yoga/Tao classes most mornings and there is a creativ space where you can paint, etc. A highlight was the glowing plancton right on the hostels beach. Bring a good mosquito spray

Truly the best experience of my 3+ months of travel so far, Kactus is an absolute dream of a place that was the perfect escape and week-long calm down after some fast-paced travel. The nightly saunas and cold plunges, incredible staff, food, people, nature, wildlife, bioluminescence, restaurant food -- I could go on forever! I heard about Kactus through a recommendation from a friend, and I will be sending everyone I love here anytime they're in Cambodia. I love Kactus.

Super chill place with good food and activities. A little expensive as no other options

Le meilleur Hostel dans lequel j’ai pu séjourné, tous pays confondus ! L’ambiance est exceptionnelle, chill, familiale, relaxante… la vibe est juste incroyable ! J’y retournerai les yeux fermés si je pouvais ! Les dortoirs sont très bien avec moustiquaires individuelles, l’espace commun et resto est juste parfait et l’accès à la plage et à la partie jungle complète le tout déjà excellent. Attention toutefois à ne pas tomber amoureux du lieux et ne plus pouvoir parti...

Un vrai petit coin de paradis ! Entre un personnel aux petits soins et une multitude d’activités aussi fun que dépaysantes, chaque journée était un plaisir. Impossible de s’ennuyer, tout invite à la détente et à l’évasion. Un séjour inoubliable !

Incredible, lovely property. Most of it is made by hand from jungle materials. Good food, drinks, lovely staff. Lots of art, games, music equipment. Really amazing place. My only complaint is that we got a bungalow for privacy and that was nearly non-existent. Our head was just a meter from the walking path so you could hear every time someone walked past and you could see into the bungalow from multiple different paths, so it was really hard to change clothes or feel alone.Not ideal for couples

The best hostel in Cambodia, by far!!!. The staff was super friendly, the location is perfect, you basically have the whole beach for yourself and they offer many activities so you feel like you never want to leave the island. Also the food is delicious. You feel like you’re staying in paradise, I would love to come back and stay longer but sadly had to lea because I’m a digital nomad and the internet was slow to non existent.

everything was just amazing this hostel is paradise can not say anything negative at all the food was great, the staff where incredible and it was sso layed back and relaxing thank you to Pepe for doing the amazing yoga and circuit training and to T for alway having the greatest smile when greeting us all all in all waw is all i can say

Kactus is literally paradise. It’s the most amazing hostel I’ve been so far in Cambodia. If had it most warm welcome g from staff and volunteers. They create such a nice energy and you can really see how everyone tries to make this place even more beautiful. You can chill at the private beach and you’ll have an amazing view from the sea view dorm. They also offer boat tours which are totally worth it. You can do snorkelling and cliff jumping. I can highly recommend this place to you guy...

The only regret is that I only stayed there for a couple of days. It's nothing short of paradise.

I absolutely love this place! Completely secluded, nestled in the jungle right next to a beautiful beach. The people there are amazing and the food is great!

It's not luxury but it certainly felt like paradise. Just make sure you can handle the wildlife as some people underestimated how intertwined you are here.

Kactus is a lovely place, arranged with so much love. The food is great, the staff is friendly, the beach is beautiful, exploring the jungle was much fun. You just have to be aware, the jungle is just around the corner and its animals share the island with you :)
