Granada Hostel

Extremely loud, until late, which is likely ok for people who just arrived to Colombia. Would not stay if you wanted a good night before flying out. Compared to the other hostels you'll find in the country, this is one of the less pleasant ones.

Hostelworld is a ripoff, charging more than what the hostel charges customers. My private room was not properly cleaned. There were hairs all over the bathroom sink, weird gunk in the shower, and bits of tissue under the desk in the room. The bed coverings had stains on them. You can hear every floor creak, shower, flush, etc., so sleeping was impossible. Positives: the staff were nice, except for one woman who was aggressive and unhelpful. The breakfast was good and reasonable.

Bad service terrible staff, not welcoming! don't recommend as this is the most important thing in a hostel.

PROS: the man who checked us in was really friendly :) CONS: this hostel had a history of double-booking rooms. We booked a 4-bed dorm yet given a 6; then overcharged! The rooms are TINY. Lockers didn’t even fit my backpack in. Triple bunk beds. Dark and smelly, no ventilation. Top bunk V difficult to climb. Toilets/showers on completely different floors and tiny cubicles so everything gets soaked. Cockroaches in beds. Kitchen staff rude- you have to serve yourself. NO ATMOSPHERE. Avoidx

Worst hostel ! I'm used to doing it as a backpacker and I don't care about the comfort. I have never seen such a poor service and welcome. Let's not even talk about the cleanliness. The toilets are full of toilet paper on the floor. The showers are clogged and full of hair. If you want to get fungus this is the place to be. I have stayed in more than 20 hostels over the last 10 years, and unfortunately this was the most disappointing overall. Positives 1. The staff themselves are excellent. Overrated doesn’t cut it. We arrived at 21:15 and recommended we use the onsite restaurant (as “everything else would be closed”), which was a giant mistake. Having read reviews, we did not expect much of the food but met our very low expectations. The hostel is too noisy. The music was loud until 11pm and after that, the kitchen/bar was been cleaned until 1 am. We booked the private ensuite room and it was close to the commum area, so, it was impossible to sleep. Despite that, the location was perfect and the hostel was really clean.

It’s okay, kitchen is big but no atmosphere

Overall a pretty solid hostel. Comfortable beds, solid facilities, and a great kitchen for guests. For the dorms, the lockers were too small. It could barely hold my personal item bag. Forget about large backpacker packs. Using the bathroom in the night was a long trek down a flight of stairs. The bathrooms were always cold and the stalls very small. I would advise against ordering food from the bar. The breakfast was always disappointing. The wifi was also buggy.

Overall we had a pleasant stay. The space was clean, in a convenient location, and they had laundry service. In terms of atmosphere, it was a bit quieter than other places, but nice. The only things that would make me hesitate to stay here again were that they would clean the bathrooms outside our room very loudly at 6 or 7 AM, so we were woken up every day by clattering and slamming. Additionally, they turn the lights out in the building after 10.

No people, wifi doesn’t reach room, social areas are comfy, would choose other places

Great atmosphere, there were plenty of spaces to socialize and the staff themselves nurtured socialization and were nice, available, and helpful. The location is unmatchable, right in the centre of la candelaria. The space was comfortable and clean. The only downside was that the walls were quite thin so it was easy to wake up with any kind of noise, although I know this affected me more than other guests.

I had a private room which was spacious and comfortable with good bathrooms.

Les sanitaires ont été mais conçus. Aucune privacy dans les douches. Une personnalité grande voit les autre nues. Notre chambre était dans la pièce de vie commune. Globalement une mauvaise expérience.

Would recommend, great location and super friendly staff. I had a private room - it was spacious and they provided towels as part of the room.

Me encanto el hostal, la comida es buena, la ubicacion es muy buena, la limpieza es muy buena, la atencion de Marlon fue buenisima.

No es un mal hostal pero me pareció que la habitación (cuarto compartido de 8) estaba mal distribuida lo que lo hacía muy incómodo, no había espacio para las maletas/mochilas apenas había espacio para moverse y el locker de mi cama estaba súper alejado de mi cama en sí. Las duchas del baño de mujeres también estaban apretadas e incómodas pero cumplían su función. La limpieza bien en general. Difícil para socializar, los espacios comunes eran dispersos y el hostal en sí es laberint...

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at (maybe the best!). The house is lovely and very charming, great places to chill and talk to other travellers, great sweet location (you don't really feel in a big city) close to many attractions, walking tours, good food places around. I didn't stay too long so every place I visited there I could go by foot. The bed was comfy and private. Nous avons passé un super séjour ! Le personnel est très gentil et a l’écoute. Les dortoirs sont confortables et sécurisés. Le lieu est joli. Mais la cuisine n’était pas très propre et pas bien équipée. La salle de bain des femmes était propre et agréable.
