Coron Bakawan Hostel

Got an email a couple of hours before checking that the hostel is fully booked.

Awful stay. We arrived at the hostel to be told we were in another hostel “happy hostel”. I was confused as I had booked this hostel but they said it was full. They told us happy hostel was exactly the same as what we had booked. Luckily we checked trip advisor for happy hostel as hostel world had no photos and no ratings. The hostel was nothing like bakawan at all! We refused to stay there and they got the manager. The manager said they had FORGOT our booking and allowed 2 walk ins.

Gutes Hostel, aber nichts besonderes. Nachts sehr laut wegen der Warmwasserpumpe. Hier sollte das Hostel unbedingt etwas machen. Ohne Ohrstöpsel kaum machbar. Lage gut, Personal freundlich, Betten sauber.

The hostel was fine, location is pretty good. Dorm beds don’t have curtains and the plumbing pipes are so loud all throughout the night.

No wifi on arrival, toilet broken during stay and had to go upstairs to use bathroom during night, electricity cut out during stay, no locks on bedrooms, guests brought non-guests into room after 10pm, staff were very loud from 5:30am onwards chatting and playing videos out loud in social space which was right outside bedrooms, whole place felt run down and not as nice/ clean as photos

So many mosquitos in our room! It was crazy, couldn’t sleep one night. But staff were lovely, free drinking water and great balcony.

Prima hostel. Ontbijt is beetje mager. Alleen toast met pindakaas. Personeel wel super aardig en goeie ligging in Coron city

Good hostel with very nice staff

Good time in Bakawan. The place is safe and clean, and AC is easy to use. Still a little breakfast for the early birds.

So many mosquitos in our room! It was crazy, couldn’t sleep one night. But staff were lovely, free drinking water and great balcony.

Nice hostel, clean, kitchen, terrasse. not a hostel to meet people, more chill hostel. good localisation. Just the personal don't speak very well english ans can't recommand you some place or help in activity

Overall a really great hostel, especially for the price in the area. There is a fantastic common area space up on the roof, though it wasn’t well used whilst we were staying there - hopefully this hostel gains popularity so it’s better utilised! My only feedback is that the curtains could be better, the toilets need more toilet roll and would be great if there was a keycard / lock for the dorm doors. The staff here were amazing!!

We stayed here and had a great time! The beds were comfortable and the curtains were an added bonus (although would be better if they weren’t see-through!). The bathroom was super clean and had hot water. Both the room and bathroom were cleaned regularly. The common area and kitchen were the highlight - both so lovely and spacious. Although they were quite quiet, we still managed to meet people. The staff were so lovely and friendly!! Would recommend!

Hostel cómodo cerca del centro. Habitación con aire acondicionado, pero las camas no tienen cortina. El baño está dentro de la habitación, podía estar más limpio y la ducha se atascaba y se llenaba todo de agua. El desayuno que incluye es muy escaso y no merece la pena. Ofrecen la posibilidad de hacer excursiones con el hostel recomendables y bastante bien de precio

Such a lovely chilled hostel. Really like the open area up top and felt I could really relax here. Super clean hostel. Bed was great. Lots of mosquitos in the room But it seemed to get less bad after a night or two. Nice to have free tea/coffee and water. WiFi was great. Would definitely recommend. Super friendly staff too.

only stayed one night but was clean and had good facilities. the airport transfer was really useful and the hostel location was close enough to town

Lovely, clean and quiet hostel. Super friendly owner who can help with all local activities and onward travel. Comfy beds, good AC and walking distance from the main town. It’s not a social hostel but if you want a good nights sleep and a welcoming place to chill and relax it’s perfect. It’s kept super clean all day, would highly recommended!

je recommande fortement, emplacement super un tout petit peu à l’écart du centre-ville, ce qui permet d’être au calme Il y a un espace commun sur un Rooftop hyper agréable petit déjeuner le matin. Vraiment parfait Le personnel est hyper gentil et toujours au petit soins pour vous organiser des activités ou bien même louer des scooters Le seul bémol si je dois en trouver un c’est qu’il n’y a pas de rideau sur les lits Cependant je ne me suis jamais senti en insécurité

This is a nice but very quiet hostel. Great rooftop social area but no one/ nothing going on up there. Comfortable beds but no privacy curtain. Good location.
