33 Hostel - Solo Traveller

Hostel33 in Peniche scammed me of my money and my stay in Peniche. I had to arrive to the hostel late around 20:30 but around 18:50 they emailed me to say that if I don't arrive before 20:00 that my entire booking of two nights is cancelled without refund. I asked if they can only cancel my first night because of the annoying 20:00 check in rule but leave my booking for the next night that I had already paid for. After asking this they never responded to my messages on email or Whatsapp again. T...

Ich muss mich leider einigen wenigen Vorschreibern anschließen ( und nein- das ist kein fake review auch wenn das komischer weise dann behauptet wird anstatt das man wie Erwachsene Personen vor Ort darüber spricht wenn es Probleme gibt). Ich habe hier einige Nächte verbracht. Die Zimmer sind gut und sauber sowie die sanitären Einrichtungen. Die Küche ist ebenfalls gut ausgestattet ( was bei 40€ die Nacht aber auch das mindeste ist). Um es kurz zu machen- wer nicht wie ein Kind in einem Sommercamp mit all den Regeln behandelt werden möchte, und passiv- agressiv angemacht werden möchte wenn man eine dieser Regeln vergisst und dafür dann auch noch 40€ die Nacht zahlt sollte sich wirklich eine andere Unterkunft suchen- ich wurde so unverschämt und aggressiv behandelt- und nein, das ist leider keine Untertreibung- absolut kein guter Vibe hier von Seiten der Besitzer- kontrollierend, ich komme nie wieder! Absolut daneben.

Leider kein schöner CP. Hat zwar eine schöne Aussicht, wenn man den Platz verlässt, aber das war es auch schon. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Sanitäreinrichtungen überhaupt nicht annehmbar. Geworben wird mit den schönen Bildern aus dem anliegenden Spa.

Ich fand es von vorne bis hinten einfach nur grausam, es war mit eines der schlimmsten Erlebnisse, die ich je in einem Hostel hatte. Der Gastgeber war unfreundlich, man hat sich dauerhaft kontrolliert gefühlt.

Das schlechteste Hostel, in dem ich jemals war und ich habe in wirklich vielen Hostels auf der ganzen Welt geschlafen. Man fühlt sich von Anfang an unwillkommnen und kontrolliert, weshalb sich alle der Allgemeinheit anfügen und die zwei Eigentümer als “Eltern” betrachten. Just by entering and one of us wearing a mask and asking for activities and accomodation for a week, we got a very unfriendly request to either remove the mask or to leave the hostel... We thought of staying for several days and in a dorm, but this unrespectful behavior made us leave inmediately.. A pity - it was even the owner!! Unfortunatly the beach was covered in somekind of plant which smelled horrible. The view was very nice tho, but the smell had us stop our walk there pretty fast.

It is the most amazing hostel I have ever stayed at. Special thanks to Paulo and Maura who have really created a wonderful place. It felt like home the moment I stepped in. And they are really warm people which creates a unique social and open atmosphere in the hostel. They have free breakfast every day really good shuttle for surfing and fun activities every night. could not recommend it enough!!

This was the best hostel in Portugal I stayed in. The staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. And it just seemed draw in a good crowd of folks too. Everyone was friendly and they have little events you can be apart of if you want. I would come back here in a heartbeat!!!

Paulo and Maura are amazing and truly make you feel at home. 🥰 The hostel is extremely clean, comfortable, and has a contagious positive energy. 🍻 It’s the perfect balance between fun and respect. If you’re traveling solo, you can be sure there will be plenty of laughs and friendly faces around! Without a doubt, my best stay to date. If you're on the fence, just book it!

Best hostel I’ve ever been to! Prettiest beaches walking distance, even if you don’t surf you’ll have a blast and meet great people.

Wonderful Hostel!! ❤️ A Hostel that really connects people. It was very easy to find friends for Surf, party and relax. The owners are such beautiful-hearted people giving a great experience. Besides that you get a nice and very clean and thoroughly thought through hostel. Surf board including wetsuit for just 20€ half day (25€ full day) including free shuttle to the beach. Cheap drinks and many other activities offered. We will come back and very much recommend to go there!!

I have stayed at the Hostel for a couple of nights in April and It's been very good! The hostel is clean, the rooms are cozy, the breakfast was very nice and the owners are super attentive and helpful with everything you might need. I had to make a late check in since my bus arrived at 23.00 in Peniche, and even though the standard check in time is until 20.30 they were super helpful with that, and I managed to arrive later without any problems. Thank you very much for this wonderful stay at your hostel. You are doing a great job. The hosts are very friendly, and you feel welcome right from the moment you arrive. The hostel is very clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the showers and toilets are also always clean. The breakfast in the morning is a great opportunity to get to know other people and start conversations. If you want, you can also cook something in the kitchen by yourself. It is definitely one of my favorite Hostels

I stayed at 33 Hostel for 3 nights in May and I can confirm it's definitely been the best hostel I've ever seen... Very welcoming personnel, very nice, clean and organized structure. It was easy to see that everything was arranged for young travellers to enjoy the location at its top ! I definitely recommend to anyone who wants to surf (greatly managed for beginners), meet new people or simply relax.

Um lugar com um pessoal extremamente carinhoso e acolhedor, sempre limpíssimo, com ótimo café da manhã e até atividades divertidas pra conhecer outras pessoas. Recomendo muito as aulas de surf e já estou ansioso pra voltar!

A hostel placed near some great beaches and food places just outside Peniche. It has a very homely village feel and the couple running the hostel are amazing, we spent a great evening jamming along with locals and surfers in a local bar. Would fully recommend.

I loved staying at 33 Hostel so much and I definitely want to return to those lovely people and that calm and viby place :))

The facility was very clean, safe and also friendly as i met one of the best friend groups in there. They do happy hours and some activities along with providing surf rental and shuttle to the beach 2 times a day. The location is not the best in terms of surfing but it is also in a cute neighbourhood which has a supermarket, laundry, a lovely craft beer pub and food options nearby. They also provide breakfast which is nice. One thing you should know is, storing your own board is not possible.

Cute Hostel and lovely hosts with a big heart for surfers and cyclists. I felt very welcomed right when I came through the door. It seems like the others felt similarly as the atmosphere was also great. The hosts help where they can. You can tell they like their own hostel a lot and try to keep it that nice. Will be back when I‘m around! Thanks :)

Thank you Paulo and Maura! This is the most welcoming and homely Hostel I have ever stayed at. The hosts are caring and supportive, making our time in Portugal as memorable as they can. Facilities are clean, location is great for surfing, and the Hostel offers an abundance of free and affordable activities for guests. This is the best place to stay when traveling to Peniche!
