Our family of three had a tiny room barely big enough for the beds and no space for luggage. The door didn't even close without having to push it past the bed. But the main reason for the 1 star is that our room was broken into our first night while we were out to dinner. The door frames are very cheaply made. Oddly, nothing was stolen but it was upsetting. We had to repeatedly ask the management to fix the door and nothing was done to make things right. We were told we couldn't be moved to anot...
Creepy inside. Staff not very friendly. Hostal is very dark. AC doesn't work.
Se o hóspede optar pelo quarto privativo, deve estar ciente de que será necessário percorrer um longo corredor com acesso a outras salas e antessalas dentro do estabelecimento, até chegar a uma área que fica praticamente em outro prédio. Esse tipo de quarto não é indicado para quem necessita de acessibilidade, pois não há estrutura adequada. Fora essa questão, o local oferece ótimo atendimento por parte da equipe, boa localização, segurança e limpeza.
If the guest opts for the private room, he should be aware that it will be necessary to walk a long corridor with access to other rooms and ante-rooms within the establishment, until he reaches an area that is practically in another building.This type of room is not indicated for those who need accessibility, as there is no adequate structure.Outside of this issue, the local offers excellent service by the staff, good location, security and cleanliness.
Pasé una noche. Está bien. Me hubiese venido bien un poco de shampú y crema de enguaje. Pero el resto bien!
I stayed one night. ok. i would have used a little shampoo and decoction cream. but the rest is fine.

NOT a youth hostel. No common area. Think of it more as a nice motel. But yeah the facilities were nice. Just note it is on the third floor through wooden doors next to Le Coq.
I think overall it was a good place to stay for the money we paid. It was very well connected and there were many places to get tapas and cañas. The staff was very nice. The only thing is that one person from my party wanted to take a shower and the water was extremely cold. It had been very hot until then so maybe it was just his luck.
A nice place to stay given the price. Had everything that we needed and appreciated the 24hour reception as we arrived after midnight.

Definitely a great place to stay! It is centrally located in Madrid, near two metro stops. Initially, the place was hard to find but once you get to the hotel, everything was excellent. Definitely recommend

Hostal Atocha was truly excellent. I don’t think you could have a better combination of location and price in Madrid. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable with everything needed.

Great value for money but don’t expect anything fancy
Fantastic location. Walkable from Atocha Station but up a bit of a hill. We had just carry on luggage so it worked great. Very clean. Lots of stairs-but there’s also a small elevator! Helpful staff. Our room was very quiet. A/C for the heatwave made this perfect. Thank you!
Difficile de trouver quelque chose de négatif. Au bon prix et au coeur de Madrid. Inutile de payer plus cher... Calme et adapté à tous !

READ IF STAYING HERE: the place is great, but it's hard to find - it is on the third floor only of a shared building. Look for a pair of large wooden doors near a French restaurant called "Le Coq". The value for money is very good. The room was very comfortable. The place is clean and in a good location. Desk is not staffed 24/7; arriving at a very early/late hour may be difficult.
Muy buena opción para quedarse en el mismo centro de Madrid. La atención fue muy buena y respondían a cualquier hora sin importar que fuera de madrugada. Honestamente una muy buena opción.
