Le personnel est désagréable et nonchalant. On a réservé une activité (city tour payant 80 euros par personne) sur tout Rio. Ils ont annulé l’activité le jour même quand on est arrivé. Pas un message, pas d’appel et quand on est arrivé on nous a dit que c’était pas remboursable et pas reportable. C’est une vraie arnaque et ils ne font rien pour s’excuser.
12 bed room was horrible and hot. Bathrooms and room were filthy. Closed off the kitchen for new years so couldn’t get water. Questioned if I was a guest there even though I had my wrist band. Only female in a 12 bed dorm room. Thought they might spread genders out

they offer a transfer to isla grande and they charge you R$440 per person there and $440 to return back. Included is the transfer the van and the boat to Abraao beach. They use Easy Transfer Brasil. They told me they only charge R$190 per way so this hostel is taking huge advantage out of guests adding a 65-75% mark up for themselves. i understand 10 or 15% but this is digusting. We booked a 3 person room, but we got a room with a bed for 1,5 person and a matrass on the ground. The matress felt like plastic and were very thin. There was no more space to move around in the room, really small for 3 people. Als very noisy until late..
Terrible… we were 3 girls that was supposed to stay there. Saw the room and couldn’t get out fast enough. Was really uncomfortable and the room was not good. The area was also uncomfortable. If you are a girl don’t stay in mixed rooms definitely or just don’t stay there at al.
Vou falar do Réveillon 2025, não vão!! Ambiente totalmente cheio ( bem mais pessoas que o ambiente suporta), banheiro fedidos, comida horrível e pouca Muita gente frustrada!!! Péssima experiência
It's in a favela. Enjoy it! They don't allow you to cancel the reservation—why? Because it's a horrible place! There are lots of motorcycles rushing by, dirt everywhere... Inside, there are a lot of stairs to climb just to get in. The place smells like mold. And the breakfast? Old bread, cold coffee... The hostel is past the entrance of a favela, so if you arrive late don’t expect your uber driver to take you up there. My driver made me get out and walk the last bit at 11:30 pm with all my stuff. É hostel dos mais bem procurados da região com uma estrutura e organização, muito completo. Fica em uma rua tranquila de Copacabana de fácil acesso. A limpeza, o atendimento e o ambiente seguro deixa o ambiente mais leve pra quem busca um ambiente acolhedor. Tem bar, jogos, áreas sociais e costuma organizar passeios e integração entre hóspedes todos os dias.
It is one of the best-provided hostels in the region with a very complete structure and organization. it is located on a quiet street of Copacabana with easy access. the cleanliness, service and safe environment leave the atmosphere lighter for those looking for a welcoming environment. it has a bar, games, social areas and we usually organize tours and integration between guests every day.
Adorei a estadia, fui muito bem recebida, as aulas de dança são muito divertidas. Emília, Paloma, Malena, Matt, Andrea e Fábio compõem os melhores staff e voluntários do hostel. são incríveis ❤️

Loved my stay at Pura Vida, it was the second time I returned. You make friends easily and they host activities every evening. Strongly recommend going to their dance classes! Staff is fantastic, Emilia especially at the reception was incredibly welcoming and willing to help with any question. Overall a great stay that is highly recommended!
Hostel is nice and located perfectly for anything happening on Copacablanca beach - really easy to walk back from shakira concert. Leticia was super helpful booking tours and transfer to Ilha grande for me and in general all the staff were really nice
la ubicación es buena cerca de la playa de Copacabana,hay mucho comercio lo malo es que al llegar al lugar el Uber no te deja en la puerta porque no pueden subir ya que está a una falavela pero no es mucho lo que te toca subir es una subida y el timbre para que te habrán la puerta deberían hacerlo más abajo porque como dos compañeras son bajitas y no alcanzan, las habitacion de las más es bueno pero es muy estrecho de una cama de la otra. el ambiente muy buena integración
the location is good near Copacabana beach,there is a lot of commerce the bad thing is that when you get to the place the Uber does not let you in the gate because they can't get up as it is at a falavela but it is not much what you have to get up is a climb and the bell for which you will have the door should be lower because as two companions are small and do not reach, the accommodation of the most is good but it is very narrow from one bed to the other. the atmosphere very good integration
The location is horrible the road is felt really uncomfortable passing through however the atmosphere is excellent I enjoyed meeting new people. The staff was rude in my experience. Overall I would recommend to check other hostels
Espectacular, la pasé genial, la gente y el Stak muy buenas personas, hay planes que hacer y muchos lugares cerca para visitar….. pienso volver ha Río de Janeiro y por supuesto pienso volver a hospedarme aquí.
Buen spot si viajas solo en Río. El staff es súper amable, sobretodo el excelente y cálido trato de Mateo, 10/10 estrellas para él. El ambiente es muy social, literal haces amigos fácil sin esfuerzo. Me hicieron upgrade de habitación y fue lo mejor que me pasó. Además, desayunar aquí es práctico y barato, lo cual suma bastante si quieres moverte sin complicarte. En general, buena vibra y fácil para conectar con gente. Volvería.
Good spot if you are traveling solo in Rio. The staff is super friendly, especially the excellent and warm treatment of Mateo, 10/10 stars for him. The atmosphere is very social, literally makes friends easy without effort. I was upgraded room and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Also, breakfast here is practical and cheap, which adds up quite a bit if you want to move around without complicating things. In general, good vibe and easy to connect with people. I would return.
El hostal está en una de las mejores locaciones a solamente 2 cuadras de Copacabana, cuenta con todo lo necesario, es muy fácil convivir y conocer nueva gente por todas las actividades que se tienen todos los días, clases de baile, tours gratis o incluso workshops de caipirinhas, muy recomendado si quieren tener una experiencia real de Rio
The hostel is in one of the best locations just 2 blocks from Copacabana, has everything you need, it's very easy to get along and meet new people for all the activities that you have every day, dance classes, free tours or even caipirinha workshops, highly recommended if you want to have a real Rio experience
we had a lot of fun. hostel was clean and there were lots of organized activities. walking distance to beach.
Had a great stay in Pura Vida. Very warm and welcoming staff with Leticia in particular. She was extremely friendly and helpful 🫶

La pase increíble, el lugar esta cerca de la playa y centro. El personal muy atentos en todo lo que necesitaba y para hacerme sentir como en casa. Habitaciones cómodas y limpias. Hay actividades por la noche para que los huéspedes se conozcan entre todos lo cual hace que sea mas fácil hacerse amigos en especial si viajas solo. Sin dudas volveria
The pass is amazing, the place is close to the beach and the center. the staff very attentive in everything I needed and to make me feel at home. comfortable and clean rooms. there are evening activities for guests to get to know each other which makes it easier to make friends especially if you are traveling solo. would definitely return

Tuve una muuy linda experiencia en el hostal Pura Vida! El equipo es muy amable, cercano y siempre me hicieron sentir cómoda. Lamentablemente tuve que dejar mi voluntariado antes de tiempo por cambios en mis planes... pero me voy muy agradecida de todo el personal ✨ Es un lugar ideal para conocer gente y compartir en un ambiente agradable.
