Die to maintenance work there is no rooftoo at the moment, we had Problems with the wifi for two days, one day the shower had no hot water and the hostel was empty- no place to socialize

Vraiment mauvais ! Le prix de la chambre privée était horriblement cher (quasi 80€ avec des toilettes et douches communes). Il y avait une punaise de lit dans mon lit mais l’homme de la sécurité m’a juste dit de l’écraser car il n’y avait pas d’autre lit disponible. Beaucoup de bruit dans l’établissement, absolument aucune insonorisation. Une personne de l’établissement a frappé à la porte de ma chambre à 9h30 pour je ne sais quelle raison… Je ne recommande absolum...

Super sympa , hostel magnifique cours de yoga gratuit et verre de bienvenue ! Chambre plutôt propre et sécurisée ! Personnel très sympa emplacement au top ! Rapport qualité prix au trop je vous conseille cette hostel !

Muy decepcionada del Selina de Oaxaca. Pensé que era otra cosa. Cero ambiente, el bar de la terraza cierra temprano, en el bar de abajo ponen una televisión ni siquiera con música si no que con la televisión andando. Cero ambiente. Rescato el personal muy amable. Cuartos decepcionantes para el precio, duchas malas. Pésimo hostal

The rooftop bar was shut for the two nights we were there (no explanation or notice given), and it was just left dark so guests couldn’t enjoy it and socialise. The co-working is an extra charge (which they do clearly state) but they actually have little to no other meaningful spaces for other guests to actual sit and make travel plans or use laptops. The ‘micro-doubles’ are overpriced, which is standard Selina practice, and there are better options in Oaxaca for couples.

We stayed here in a private room and the cleanliness and location were great. Value for the price, we were extremely disappointed. In the photos on the property listing, they highlight that they have a coworking space, however, upon arrival, the coworking space costs an additional 100+ pesos per day to use. The room was a tiny expensive closet with nowhere to put any of your things - 1000% would avoid any of the private rooms, you can get waaaay better for half the price elsewhere in Oaxaca.

Very few facilities even though they are advertised in the photos. There was no kitchen, no yoga classes and it seems as though the rooftop has been closed for quite a while based on other reviews. The staff were very friendly and helpful though, and it was very clean!

The bed was so extremely uncomfortable. I have stay in much cheaper hotels and the mattresses were always more comfortable. There is not much common space and the roof is closed. They advertise a private bathroom but it is the same public bathroom for the coworking space and the restaurant.

The hostel was fine. I stayed in a private room and it felt like there was literally nobody else in the hostel during my stay so I didn’t meet anyone even though I frequently hung out in the common areas. The kitchen was also small and a bit dirty. I did have a window in my room however the curtain didn’t shut. The staff were very friendly though.

Prima verblijf, maar erg overpriced. De douche kwam amper water uit, na een lange reis is dit echt niet fijn. Je haar wassen was niet eens mogelijk, dit moest via de wasbak (die veel te klein was hiervoor) omdat je anders de shampoo niet uit je haar kreeg. We hebben dit meerdere keren aangegeven, elke keer zou het opgelost worden maar dit is niet gebeurd. Overigens is het meer een hotel dan een hostel. Personeel achter de balie denk ook niet echt met je mee. Erg veel geld voor wat je krijgt.

Un precio justo y buena ubicación. Buen lugar si es la primera vez que visitas Oaxaca y te gusta explorar.

Insgesamt alles gut. Super Lage & nette Mitarbeiter. Rohre in der Toilette haben ziemlich übel gerochen.

Very quiet hostel. The rooms are spacious and clean. It's located in a very central neighbourhood. If you're looking to meet other travellers to socialise with and plan things together, the hostel doesn't offer much activities.

Overall we had a nice stay at Selina - room was spacious and amazing location. The bar area is separate which means there’s no vibe at all in the hostel itself. There is also no kitchen which we were really surprised to find (many past reviews mention kitchen so it seems they decided to close it). The roof terrace was also closed which was a shame as that would be an asset. The water pressure in our first room was non existent but when we moved it was much better so ask if you have issues!

Really lovely place to stay ! Was more like a hotel than a hostel though, no social events - but perfect for a nice break and a great location ! Clean communal bathrooms and friendly staff.

Fijne locatie! Hopelijk zijn de werken snel voorbij, zodat deze hostel zijn volle potentieel kan tonen.

Très beau hostel !

Treated myself to a private room and was a bit expensive but so worth it. The hostel has such a relaxing vibe and the location was perfect. Not social at all but this wasn’t rlly an issue for me as I was just wanting to chill :)

Excelente ubicación, muy amables, muy bonito, cómodo. El único detalle es que los precios están más elevados que un hotel.

Nice hostel in a great location. The common areas are nice but no one is very social. I booked a private room but there was no sound proofing at all so felt like I was in the common area with everyone while I was in my room.

We loved our time at Selina. Definitely more of a hotel than a hostel. Special shout out to the staff on the desk. They were infinitely helpful for us, helping us book a taxi for an early trip to the airport and giving us loads of advice. The compact room we booked was perfect for us and cheaper than some of the dorms we stayed in. Very clean, fresh towels every day, and great bathroom facilities. Location was perfect and we had no problems with noise.

Un bonito hostal, aunque es más hotel porque no tiene modalidad de literas, en el centro de Oaxaca. A pasos de la zona más turística. La atención en recepción y el bar es impecable y amistosa.

I had a great stay at Selina Oaxaca! The atmosphere was vibrant, the location was perfect for exploring the city, and the staff was welcoming. The communal spaces were well-designed, making it easy to connect with other travelers, especially digital nomads and remote workers. The on-site restaurant stays open late, which is a huge plus. The co-working space was also excellent, with strong WiFi and plenty of natural light from the windows, creating a productive environment. Would definitely recom...
