DKaYa Hostel

Das Hostel ist ok aber nichts besonderes bzw. nicht besonders liebevoll eingerichtet. Nachts sind dort alle Türen offen und es könnte jederzeit jemand rein und rausgehen, es gibt zwar einen Schlüssel für die Eingangstür aber die Tür wird nie abgeschlossen und es gibt keinen Sicherheitsdienst. Insgesamt war das Hostel relativ sauber.

Niedliches Hostel, für 2-3 Nächte absolut ausreichend. Relativ kleine Zimmer aber auch das funktioniert. Wirklich kein soziales Hostel, wobei der Ort generell nicht so viel besucht wird von Backpackern. Trotzdem kann ich das Hostel guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen!

The hostel was clean and nice to stay in. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathroom were fine, but no curtains on beds and not very spacious. The location was manageable but a very long walk from Khao Lak centre, however it is in a small area of cafes and restaurants etc. This hostel also has a very chilled, quiet atmosphere, which was good for us. I was overall satisfied with my 2 night stay.

It's a good hostel, nothing special but a good enough place to sleep a couple of nights, also because it's probably the only one in the area. It's very small and there are no common areas so the atmosphere is not social. The place is very clean and the facilities are ok, the room is a bit small though. Minus the rooms smelling very moldy/mildewy, they were nice. Some worse than others, if you’re sensitive to mold don’t stay here. Nice location, not super social, basic breakfast. The rooms were nice and spacious but only partially curtained so that was a bit awkward… nice stay though

Small and charming hostel. I stayed during low season so not many people there or in town. I surfed at Memories Beach which is quiet far from the hostel and you can’t get a Grab/Bolt, so would recommend renting a shooter or bike to get around.

Staying at Dkaya felt like being at home. The atmosphere was full of trust, kindness, and genuine connection. I met amazing people and shared moments I won’t forget. Thank you for creating such a warm and welcoming place 🙏

Toppenbra ställe, supertrevlig personal och läget är jättebra. Kort promenad till stranden, nära butiker och restauranger. Minnesgatan är intill så det finns mycket att göra nära. Fint och rent, cred till städerskan.

A very nice, quiet, clean hostel with lovely staff who were very caring and helpful. Not much of an atmosphere, but still a place you can meet nice travellers and it’s a very useful central location.

Overall great place, perfect for khao sake. They could use curtains and some other minor tweaks but a great place to crash

Es war super! Extrem sauber, tolle Lage, super Service und eine Mitarbeiterin (Mimi), die jeden Wunsch erfüllt und einen stets mit ihrem wunderschönen Lächeln begrüßt hat! :))

Sehr gute Lage gegenüber vom Nachtmarkt. 2km vom Strand entfernt. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Konzept des Hostels lädt jedoch wenig zum connecten und socialisen ein, die Funktionalität liegt im Vordergrund. Fazit: super Ort um zu übernachten und als Basis zu nutzen, jedoch nicht so optimal um Freunde, bzw. Travelbuddies zu finden.

This is a really nice cosy hostel near the beach, the tsunami memorials and the night market (open on specific days) - all very walkable. Although there are no hostel organised events it is easy to meet people staying as there are only 2 dorms and a large seating space downstairs with access to a kitchen. There was one kind staff member who managed the check-ins, cleaning and helping with bus bookings. A good simple hostel that provided all the amenities we required.
