Mornington Camden

Overall very disappointed. I received no communication for check in and only received this once I arrived (8:30pm) via text once I called to try get in. There was no one in person to assist when arriving at the hostel. The bed I was assigned had used sheets. The cleanliness of the place and communication was greatly lacking. Location great but you can hear and feel the underground trains which is disruptive when sleeping.

I would rather forget this place it operates as one thing but is another

The description said that there were curtains on the bed for privacy. There were not. It also stated that washing machine was available. It was not. The room stayed stuffy and hot. There is no fan and the only ability to cool off the room is by leaving two double doors to the outside open all night. Beds are ok, the showers and bathrooms are as clean as they other people who are staying with you keep it (it is a hostel after all). There are tiny lockers, but no way to store luggage locked.

I couldn’t reach to the staff when I arrived. The room was on the basement floor so the air condition was awful.

Pros: close to the metro, quiet Cons: no facilities, no social element, expensive, staff were rarely present and when they were seemed blunt and unhelpful, bathrooms were mouldy

It's basically just one room in the basement with bunk beds. Staff is only there for a short while in the morning, not sure when. Check-in and check-out are done without them. There's no hostel atmosphere at all. Apparently it also has private rooms under a different name upstairs, so it's not all-female after all (just the one room). Room and bathrooms are okay-ish clean but there's carpet everywhere. There are lockers, but they're tiny (not big enough for bags), and they don't work anyway

Nice selection of teas included in the lounge. I should have read the reviews, it was impossible to sleep in the basement dorm room with the night tube.

While it does suggest that this is a female only hostel, there are rooms that are available to men. Often, this leads to men dominanting communal areas. Also, a black female did not leave the female dorm for the entire 3 days I was there. Usual danger associated with access codes.

Great location within easy walking distance of Camden town & right next to the tube station. Shops & cafes right there. Nice room with two bathrooms, kitchen facilities upstairs. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest (some mold over the shower) & no bathmats so the floor was wet. Bedroom was clean though. Would stay again.

I had the best time at the hostel, great girls there and a really friendly atmosphere. I couldn't have chosen a better spot ie, next to the train station, close to the venue I was attending in Camden. Free tea and coffee- it was a nice touch! I shall certainly go back there.

Horrendous vibes. Room is a badly ventilated basement with carpet and beds and a door to the back (which does work, as does the fire alarm, thanks to someone burning popcorn upstairs at 3 AM). Both showers are moldy. No sign of staff at any point. Literally next door to the tube station, hopefully you can sleep while trains pull in every two minutes. Front door has good lock, but if you know the code you can just walk in (dorm needs a keycard but you can just grab one from the hallway).

La posizione è il punto forte di questo ostello, si trova proprio fuori l’uscita della metropolitana. Vicino ci sono tanti negozi,supermercati e a 10 minuti a piedi si arriva a Camden. La stanza si trova in un sottoscala ed ha due bagni. C’è un piccolo patio dove è possibile prendere un po’ d’aria fresca. L’unico difetto secondo me è l’eccessivo calore durante la notte,ho sudato nonostante avessi un pigiama in cotone leggero. L’area comune al piano di sopra piccola,carina.

Besides a bit of a hiccup with check-in, everything was wonderful. The rooms are spacious and bathrooms cleans. I would definitely recommend this hostel

Très bonne expérience. Ce qui m’as vraiment plus c’est la sécurité dans cet hostels avec beaucoup de caméra de surveillances. De plus l’hostel est bien placé à 5 minutes de Camden Town et une station de métro très proche de l’hostel ( littéralement collé à lhostels). De plus lhostesl est plutôt bien aménagé.
