YHA Hawkshead

Lovely staff & location! The room was very basic but had what you needed to rest your head down. Would have been much better if there were lockers available to put your bags in. First night showers were nice & hot but was told the second night that there were boiler issues so were lukewarm which I saw was quite a common review that other people mention on google, which was a bit of a shame after a long day out in the rain Would consider here again for a cheap stay of any of the other YHA site...

It was alright, facilities are a bit old but the place where the hostel is located is a really nice area

Cool place!! So relaxing massive area close to the centre, v easy to get around if you have a car beautiful scenic route love it x

Very nice place, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable commun spaces. Well equipped kitchen, unfortunately non-stick frying pans have been scrapped to death as usual. Hawkshead is very quaint. It's just a shame that as a pedestrian it's difficult to go anywhere (narrow little road on both sides, hardly enough space for two cars, no visibility, a bit dodgy to walk along).

Fab hostel- staff fantastic

Sleepy hostel / campsite in lakes district. Not much going on - would have struggled as a solo traveller. Good facilities though so works well as a base for daytime adventures

The place is gorgeous. I spent 3 days here and was able to enjoy the calm and serenity and the abundance of amazing facilities they offer. The network coverage is pretty bad which might be an issue if you're trying to work from there but was ideal for me since I was looking for some tech detox.

Nice and pleasant hostel to stay. Very friendly staff, self catering space very well equipped, possibility to order food in the dining/breakfast area. Nice atmosphere, great value for money. We were in a shared room. The bed bunks very comfortable but no curtains (no big problem as there was only two of us in the 8 bed room).

All services was absolutely fine, nice kind stuff . Great location. Can say nothing all was absolutely amazing

Brilliant little place. Stayed in a 5 in a bell tent. Really comfortable even with the cooler weather. Must remember a lantern next time as tent a little dark in the autumnal cloudy weather. Thank you
