A experiência de dormir uma noite em meio ao Titicaca foi incrível. O acesso ao local só se faz por barco, o que acaba tornando o acesso à cidade um pouco difícil. Um ponto negativo foi não ter aquecedor na cabana, durante a noite faz muito frio no local!

The toilet situation is one to remember. No need to stay more than one night for the full experience. Nice people who make a living on giant straw islands.
Unfortunately we left Juan’s accommodations severely disappointed. To start, when we arrived, it was in the pouring rain and they made us take a taxi to a sketchy “local” port, not actually the main port in Puno. My girlfriend and I had to change in the back of a taxi to trudge through water and mud to get to the boat that we waited 30 min for in the dark. When we arrived to the island, the accommodations were decent but our toilet and sink leaked and everything smelled like lake water. As...
Juan and his family were very welcoming and attentive to our needs. We had beautiful views of the lake. The rooms were very clean. There were times when the water wasn’t working but Juan worked to fix this as soon as he could. Dinner on the island was a very expensive $14 USD and overall I would say that the accommodations are a bit overpriced. I would recommend staying no more than one night (we did 3).
Very modern, renovated to suit tourists place. Only thing there was no internet and no heating, but the host very kindly brought us hot water bottles for the night. A bit pricey compared to the rest of Peru which for the location makes sense, but even for meals they charged in dollars. Bear in mind you can’t really do anything on your own, you can’t leave the island unless the people take you to town on their boat, which is also extra. Good place if you want to relax as the lake is quite nic...
