Enjoyed my stay, very helpful hosts, basic room and no hot water but I guess this is common across the island. Lovely location.

Highly recommend! It’s beautiful, quiet, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The only thing is our toilet didn’t flush - but overall we loved our stay.

La ubicación es muy buena porque se ve todo desde allá arriba. El personal muy callado, de pocas palabras, pero amable. Uno de los baños estaba muy sucio y durante la estadía no lo limpiaron, sino que nos indicaron ir a otro. Las habitaciones son cómodas.

The lady doesn’t speak English at all , no common area so I had to stay in my room always, it was super boring stay in this island , no vibe at all . I didn’t even see any other guests except a female in the next day morning without communication at all

Établissement correct mais assez rustique, la nuit a été glaciale malgré les plusieurs couettes. Très belle vue et bon petit déjeuner. Ne vous attendez pas à rencontrer du monde en revanche c’est plutôt une maison d’hôte qu’un hostel.

Wunderschöne Aussicht! Es ist ein strenger Weg nach oben aber es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! Die Familie ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit!

RECOMENDADO!! 🫶🏻 Los dueños muy amables. El lugar es hermoso, tiene muy buena ubicación (está alto, pero vale la pena 100%). Cerca de un mirador para ver el atardecer y todo el lago Titicaca, la pieza tenía vista al amanecer. El desayuno buenísimo. El sector y toda la isla son de ensueño. Todo excelente. Muchas gracias a nuestros hospederos.

I originally booked one night for $18 each, but because I liked it so much on Isla del Sol, I booked another night. The lady of the house knocked on my room door and demanded 360 Bolivianos for two nights (she wanted to trick me and defraud me). I also had to ask for toilet paper and towels. The accommodation does not look like the photos.

We loved Hostal del Sol. Great vibe and the family who run it are so lovely - they carried my bag up the steep hill to the hostel! Thoroughly recommend to everyone visiting Isla del Sol.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The family running it are so lovely & it’s really secure. Warm shower & lovely rooms with a decent breakfast. The walk from the boat to the hostel is quite far (30mins on maps) & very uphill, which is tough with big bags. Wifi isn’t good but it’s located a few minutes walk away from lake view restaurants with good wifi.

Beautiful hostel, the family are super sweet and helpful - prepare to practice your Spanish. The breakfast was great served with love. Comfortable bed, amazing view and convenient location.

Buena ubicación, cerca de lugares para comer, la habitación estaba limpia y las personas que atienden eran amables

Très tranquille et très bien situé près des restaurants des commerces ainsi que des chemins de randonnée. Les hôtes ont été très gentils avec nous ils nous ont même laissé utiliser leur cuisine. Il faut toutefois monter en environ 20 à 25 minutes depuis le port.

Booked in advance but when we arrived we were told that all of the rooms were full. Not good service.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Das Bett war super weich und schön groß, das Bad war sauber und die Dame der das Hostel gehört hat sich liebevoll um mich gekümmert. Es gab kostenloses Trinkwasser um die Flasche aufzufüllen und das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Auch hat sie mir verschiedene Tips gegeben um Abend zu essen oder wo es die beste Aussicht/Hikes gibt. Der Hike hoch zum Hostel ist sehr anstrengend, jedoch wird angeboten, das Gepäck mit einem Esel hochzutragen, was ich empfehlen würde. Ob...

nice small hostel on Isla del sol. The owner is very friendly and the rooms are decently clean

It was nice for a night or two! The breakfast was extensive - eggs, bread, tea/coffee, yogurt. I did find it difficult to find the staff - there never seemed to be anyone around but the room was clean and the bed was comfy with tones of blankets to keep you warm at night. The hike up from the port is quite a climb but once you’re at the top it’s nice!

Lovely hostel that does feel like a homestay. There is a big variety in room types so we had to ask and switch rooms twice to get a room with a shower that we booked. The breakfast was good and the views are unbeatable. The location is quite far from the boat drop off point compared to other hostels, but it is ideally located when you want to explore the northern (and most beautiful) side of the island by foot.

I'd think this property better described as a homestay than a hostel, there are no dorms and the structure is owned/shared with the family. The privates are fantastically decorated and cozy. Expect the perfect amount of quilts and covers for the undoubtedly cold nights. The WiFi and breakfast are both remarkable. This is no frills but an excellent place to base your exploration of the island (adjacent to trailhead). The family is wonderful and so is the value, I highly recommend staying here.
