UP2U Guesthouse

It really felt like I was entering a fairytale, this hostel is by far the most aesthetic I have ever been in. The host is also super friendly. However, this is a great place for chilling/ lounging but for sleeping not so much. It is an open original teak wooden house and it is located next to a big road. So you’ll hear cars all day and most of the night as well. You actually hear everything, every footstep, every whisper. Note:I’m a light sleeper, others in the hostel didn’t mind as much

I was not crazy about this hostel. The toilets and showers were dirty and wet. There were lots of mosquitos in the dorm and outside (although the beds are protected by mosquito nets). There is no noise insulation in the dorms and I could hear traffic, people walking in the corridor, etc. all night. I had a bad nights sleep here and would not stay again. Positives: It is about a ten minute walk from the walking street and is right next to the river. Thai-style design of the hostel is cool.

Not worth the hype on tik tok, there are other hostels closer to the walking street which are nicer, just pay the extra £5. Bed bugs in the hostel too, and seemed the only way they ‘resolve’ it was with spray - we didn’t stay here, walked in and out of there.

When we checked in at this hostel (at the correct check-in time), our beds were still dirty from the people that had slept in them the night before. We were then told that there were no cleaners and had to sleep for three nights with no bed sheets. The mosquito nets around the beds made it feel very claustrophobic and although we understand the nature of the area and the hostel, we had rats in our room and were told that it is what we should expect when spending time in the jungle. A really beautiful hostel, but besides that it’s just for chilling and as a solo traveler it was nearly impossible to talk to someone. The rooms were all close to the street so it was very loud during the night and the mattresses were 10cm thick so don’t expect the best sleep there.

I really didn’t like this hostel. It’s very crunchy, hippie vibes. But to the extreme. The rooms are made from wood and the windows and walls have big gaps, not airtight, so it feels damp. It felt like we were sleeping outside. The showers are outdoor and I got a lot of mosquito bites from showering. I just couldn’t relax here. The walk into town is kind of far compared to other hostels. I wouldn’t go back

Friendly staff, very hippy hostel so if you’re into that it’s great but wasn’t for us. No air con just a fan, no curtain either.

Giving big treehouse vibes which is fun. Beds are super uncomfortable and not a very social hostel. 15min walk to town.

sleep is not that good. it's very noisy and cold as it's next to the main road. also the matress is very hard and uncomfortable. nevertheless, the woman was very kind and helpful and the little riverside spot is amazing. the hostel has a lot of facilities, like scooter rent, laundry and party tickets.

Hostel magnifique, on se croirait dans un conte de fée. L’auberge est extrêmement calme et reposant. Le genre d’endroit où on peut rester toute la journée à lire un livre. Cependant les lits sont un peu dur et dommage qu’il n’y ai pas de petit déjeuner ou d’activité comme des cours de yoga ou de guitare ou autre instruments de musique à disposition car la vue est magnifique surtout le matin avec le levé du soleil.

Was visually beautiful, had a nice seating area with a lovely view. The dorm rooms and front door don’t lock and there’s no security, there were no problems but just something to keep in mind. The walk to and from the hostel from town isn’t the best because it’s along a big road with not much pavement but again the area felt quite safe so wasn’t a big problem

Das UP2U Guesthouse ist wirklich soo mega schön und hat einen mega coolen Vibe!! Es war alles super sauber und die Chill Area war mega mit einem super Ausblick, sehr emofehlenswert!

Amazing amazing amazing. I loved it so much, kept extending my stay one day after another. The staff was beyond friendly and welcoming, and super helpful with anything city, tour, info related etc. Super clean, great atmosphere, beautiful view of the river while lounging on hammocks and a cute kitten wandering around. Feels like a little jungle, wooden treehouse escape. And the coffee shop attached next door was so good and cheap! Can’t recommend enough, I can’t wait to come back again

This Hostel was so perfect - about 10 min walk from walking street which is nice to be a bit out of the hustle and bustle. The views were insane - the shower view was unreal and really warm just depends on the time of day but one of the 4 will definitely be warm. The woman who owns the hostel Is so sweet and can arrange taxi transportation for you anywhere in and around Pai and also the slowboat. Gets a little chilly at night time as a treehouse style hostel and open to the elements ie the cold

Really nice communal areas; hammocks and seating that overlook the river. Only complaint would be that beds are quite hard.

The hostel is amazing with incredible views and really special places to sit, relax and socialise. Other people in the dorms were respectful, friendly and sociable. The only downside was road noise (free ear plugs are provided) and the beds are quite hard.

The most beautiful hostel. Multiple stunning places to hang out on the property, quick and cheap laundry service, good facilities. For solo travellers: People staying here are very friendly, but the hang out spaces are very spread out and there are no formal activities, so it might be a slightly less social experience.

Can’t fault this place. I stayed here 7 years ago, and had to come back again this time around. Amazing location with an incredible balcony overlooking the river and mountains. Can hire bikes directly from the hostel, but is only a 10-15 minute walk from the main town anyway. I’ll be back!

Loved the vibe of this hostel. Super relaxed and so many common spaces to hang out with amazing views. About a 10 minute walk to the main area of Pai. Beds were quite uncomfortable was the main issue otherwise we loved our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful with booking tours and activities and loved the hostel doggy Lucy 🐶

Had a great stay at Up2You. Place had a good vibe, lots of places to chill and hang out. Showers were not great - pretty cold, and beds were very creaky! But still slept well, and were comfortable throughout our stay.

Incroyable hostel, tranquille dans la forêt, avec une vue magnifique. Le seul point négatif serait les lits extrêmement durs. Nous avions mis notre linge à laver à l’intérieur, et malheureusement, il est revenu avec une très mauvaise odeur

Ein so schönes Hostel!!! Überall schöne Details. So schön Aussicht. Nette Leute. Kein Partyhostel. Jedoch direkt an der Straße und dadurch, dass alles offen ist (wie ein Baumhaus eben) hört man den Verkehr und eben auch Leute, die sich bis in die Nacht unterhalten. Die Matratzen sind keine 10 cm dick, für Menschen die es sehr hart mögen, genau das richtige.
