Clandestino is in the jungle, so if you like that, it’s perfect for you. The way to the beach is down the hill and super close, which is nice - but it’s also a steep climb back up, be prepared! I think the place could use more cozy places to hang out, currently there’s only the kitchen… Also, I think there should be complimentary salt, pepper, basic spices and oil and stuff. I personally found the dorms a bit stuffy, meaning not enough light, small…
Beautiful place in the nature! It is not easy to reach in the wet season with the motorcycle, bring lots of drinks and food in advance if you stay for a while. There is a skate ramp and boards to use!
Hostel Clandestino was a really beautiful place and my favourite hostel so far of my trip. I ended up extending I loved it that much! It’s very relaxing, so convenient for the surf (10 min walk on a hill but it’s worth it). The kitchen is so well equipped, the volunteers, staff and family that own it are amazing and really make it feel like home. The only thing that was missing for me, was just a place to get changed privately outside of the shower as there’s only mixed dorms.
Clandestino is one of the nicest hostels I've been to! It's in a perfect location just 10 minutes walk from Playa Maderas, and close to a few cafes & restaurants too. The hostel is really nice and clean, the kitchen is big and well equipped and the dorms and private rooms are nice. The staff & volunteers are great and the hostel has a really sociable but chilled atmosphere and there are activities most days so its a good place to meet people!
Eines def besten Himmels in meiner Reise! Manager und Volunteers sind mega nett, Ausstattung ist sehr gut und alles sauber. Außerdem werden oft Aktivitäten angeboten und es herttscht allgemein ein sehr familiärer Vibe ;)
The manager and volunteers are mega nett, the equipment is very good and everything is clean. in addition, activities are often offered and it is generally a very familiar vibe;)
our stay at Clandestino was absolutely amazing! The vibe was great. Chill people, lots of common activities for those who wanted, great kitchen to meet and cook in, nice location near beach Maderas. Would absolutely recommend and come back! Thanks Philip, Matt and Lena for the amazing time we had and your great hospitality! Clandestino felt like home and we were really sad to leave!
