- It wasn’t clean at all and a very dirty bathroom
+ Ik ben er één nachtje geweest, ik kwam terug van een Tour en had de dag erna mijn vlucht naar Bali.
+ Late check-in was possible, but not convenient.
- We read a lot of good reviews and were disappointed. There is a 24-hour-reception but you have to force them to let you in. They also did not speak English. The room was dirty and worn down. The pictures on booking are not up to date.
We booked a private room only to arrive to the boss telling us she had given the room to someone else and then said it was my fault for booking too late. We booked at 930 am and arrived at 7pm. They then put us in a dorm room which was not ready. I then tried to explain that because we paid a higher deposit we don’t owe the full amount for the room but that didn’t seem to get through. The boss then was “confused” after showing her that the breakfast was included and that we don’t need...

- bed mattress is old, too much “bowl” to sleep on. hardly find staff around, even though they have a bell, it was like no one is around.

+ Das Einzelzimmer war sauber und die Dame an der Rezeption sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
- Das Bad und die Toilette waren nicht sauber, es gab keine Möglichkeiten die Kleidung oder Sonstiges aufzuhängen. Auch das Waschbecken sah sehr sehr alt aus und nicht richtig sauber. Man hört wirklich Alles von den anderen Zimmern, Toilette usw.
An okay hostel if you need to spend one night in Surabaya. The bathroom facilities were very outdated and not easy to keep clean.

+ By far the best accommodation in Surabaya. I checked a lot of places and stayed at another that was highly rated but this was the only place that was really comfortable. Great staff, Rubi was so kind and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay.

Great hostel. Staff was so helpful and waited for me at 2am to arrive (I was coming in from a flight) and even helped me to book my train ticket the next morning. Beds were super comfy. Great place!

+ L'hotel est très calme, dans une rue plus ou moins privée. Accueillis par une jeune femme adorable et très prévenante qui nous a aidé pour acheter nos tickets de bus. Petit dej moyen mais pas cher. Chambre familiale au RDC ok, avec une douche séparée des toilettes, c'est bien.
- Le petit dej pourrait être plus travaillé et copieux. Le lieu de vie où se trouve la cuisine est vraiment glauque.

+ The staff were very friendly. And there is a great restaurant within ten minutes walking down the street called Dejavu. They also helped organize a Bromo-Ijen tour.
- You could tell the bathroom wasn’t very new, but we were provided towels and it has hot water and soap and shampoo.
+ Ik heb een fijn verblijf gehad in dit hostel. Vriendelijk personeel en schoon. De buurt is een stukje van het centrum maar wel lekker rustig.
+ Habitacion limpia, camas cómodas, buena atención, agua caliente, agua fria para beber 24h/día + cafe. Aire acondicionado que funciona. Desayuno más que aceptable por el precio. Nosotros desayunamos allí mismo.

+ Good value basic accommodation in Surabaya a short drive from the airport. Mini market around the corner. Friendly, helpful staff. Drinking water was provided.
- TV didn’t work. Looks a little odd from the outside but perfectly fine once through the gates.

+ The place has a Japanase vibe as it is managed by people from that country, so you can expect pristine cleanliness and excelency, and that is exactly what you find staying there. Budget price, air conditioning, hot and cold water machine dispenser, a kitchen where you can make yourself simple meals, a shared bathroom and shower which are always reasonable clean (it will always depend on the behaviour of your fellow guests), relatively good location (3 km south from Surabaya Gubeng) and very close to a street full of cheap food. They provide excellent laundry service 3kg or more for 35.000 rupiah.
