Vivo Escondido Hostel

It’s a party hostel. Being one comes with all the downsides - not clean, they have limited times to have the AC on, staff were confusing and always drunk.

Pésimo servicio …olvide una maleta y primero me dijeron que si la tenían después que ya no que no se hacían responsables …no vayan a ese hostal SE PIERDEN LAS COSAS…nunca contestan en el teléfono y por correo contestan cuando quieren ALERTA. No se dejen sorprender no es un buen hostal. Tengo los correos por si alguien lo duda y si no me creen intenten hablar al teléfono que ponen en hostalworld Yo tomaré ACCIONES LEGALES

Didn’t really like this hostel. It felt like there was a lot of long staying people and new comers were kind of separate. Not the great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. They don’t accept payments with card.

I didn’t like this place and checked out earlier. The toilets were cramped, it wasn’t very clean and it felt outdated. They play loud music at the pool all day until 11 pm, I don’t mind music but why play it so loud. And the atmosphere was weird and not very welcoming.

My worst hostel experience while travelling. I was followed at night out of the front door of the hostel by a local car who chased me and tried to rob me. Fortunately I managed to escape with all of my things, however injured, but the hostel refused to help me in any way, they wouldn't even call me a taxi or apply basic first aid. The owner of the hostel simply gaslit me, to say the car full of local men following me "wouldn't have done anything" and "were probably just trying to scare me for a ...

You would be better off sleeping on the beach. Seriously. There were multiple times where there was no running water and the pool is filthy. Animals everywhere, including in the rooms. Not great value for what you are getting.

unfortunately our stay was not as nice as expected. the hostel is very well located, but that's the only positive point we can say. now we know why it's so well rated. you get a free cocktail if you give the hostel a good rating. that's ridiculous! also it's way too expensive for what you get. it's very dirty and very musty everywhere, the mattresses are very old and disgusting.

I was disappointed by this hostel - I didn’t find it social at all and the rooms were dark and not clean. Bathrooms were also so hot. The aircon didn’t go on until 10pm so it was sweltering in the room. The staff were super lovely though. Location is good for the beaches and some restaurants but La Punta is more lively and social I think

Much respect and love to everyone there, I didn't feel lonely for a minute, the vibe is awesome. No locks and i didn't need one, people are trustworthy and helpful.

Great hostel, clean, pleasant atmosphere, great staff and location. Being new to the hostel world, I was pleasantly surprised by all that it offered. I would certainly book here again.

Literally the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Met so many amazing people. The vibe at that place is just so special, wanted to stay for 4 days and ended up staying for almost three weeks. I will definitely be back. Also great location and facilities. I just loved it there!

I’ve never wrote a review about a hostel before, but this hostel is by far my favourite hostel in Latin America so far. Chad has the best energy and Dean has the best poolside tunes!! I love this place xxx

Best hostel in Puerto. Checked in for a couple days, ended up staying a couple weeks. Staff was awesome and really made the experience. Commercial grade kitchen was great and made it feel like home.

I'm still here . Vivo was everything I hoped for and more. It's like being with friends that you have had forever but hadn't seen in a while.

Easily one of the best hostels I’ve been to. Great facilities and a perfect environment to meet people. The staff are amazing and the owner Chad is so welcoming and always made sure everyone was greeted with a big smile. Booked for 7 nights but ended up extending for few weeks. If you want a hostel that’s social and welcoming but not an all night party hostel then this is the perfect place 🙏🏻

Das besondere an dieser Unterkunft? Das Gefühl von Zuhause und Familie. Das war der erste Ort, an dem ich einfach mal entsonnen und runterkommen konnte. Und nicht zu viel Party! Die Ruhezeiten wurden immer eingehalten.

Cooler Ort, nicht so Möchtegern fancy wie die Hostels in La Punta. Man hat so ch sofort willkommen gefühlt, nette Angestellte, cooler Chef. Top Hostel

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed at, have already returned once and definitely will again! A short walk from shops, restaurants and the best beaches in PE. Great mix of social and chill vibes, with common areas round the pool with a bar etc, and then areas to relax in the shade with hammocks upstairs. Good AC, plug + light in bunks, and most importantly clean rooms and bathrooms. Tommy, Lily and Chad made everyone feel so welcome and have really created something special at Vivo!

Good value, good vibes and fairly social. Excited to see how this hostel continues to grow.

only con are the showers (cold and bad pressure), but vibes are sooo good, soo social, amazing common area, has a kitchen, very close to some amazing beaches for swimming (not like zicatela where you can’t really swim!)

A great hostel with an unique family atmosphere right next to beautiful beaches. The host and volunteers took much care of their guests and will help you with everything. It was a pleasure.

Extremely well managed hostel. Best i have been in 10 years.
