me and my friend having stuff misplaced and moved by the staff for no reason without asking, super disorganised and unhelpful with a very clique like group between the volunteers. the room was unbearably hot with no A/C and weak fans . only volunteer i found to be somewhat helpful was the guy from manchester , otherwise the rest were arrogant and not very friendly . the guests were great but otherwise , i wouldn’t stay here. my first night i came back to find someone sleeping in my own bed lol...

Room are very hot inside and not clean

Very strange environment, basically all volunteers who have a very closed circle. Place is quite dirty, rooms are unbelievably hot and dark, kitchen is not well equipped and only 1 shower/toilet for three 8 bed dorms. The location however is very good…

private room was disgusting, floor was sticky and greasy, sand and hairs in bathroom, fan wasn't working. outside area was small but looked a bit like a dumping site. no guards at night. worst of all, there seemed to be a group of longterm guests and volunteers who cliqued together and ignored all other guests, gave off very strange vibes. only plus side was its location i guess. never again.

No air conditioner. Many mosquitoes. Very very basic hostel and too expensive for that kind of a hostel. Only 1 bathroom and toilet for soooo many people. Its too messy everywhere. The best thing is the location. Hosts are very sweet. People are very friendly. But its too too expensive for value for money

Everything you need in a good location apart from Air-con. I know it doesn’t say it has it but unfortunately you can’t assume that in 30 degree plus heat everywhere has AC

If you are looking for a bed in a good location this hostel is perfect for you. If you are wanting a good social atmosphere, hostel activities, clean kitchen, clean communal areas and helpful staff probably book somewhere else. There was dog poo and rubbish upstairs on patio, the hostel seemed really run down, we had to clean out the fridge as it was full of mouldy food and we were told that the staff used our tray of eggs when we had labelled them.

Staff were all so lovely! Had a private room and extended 3 times. Was just warm with no AC but bearable if you sleep with the door open and fly net shut!

If you want a home away from home, look no further. Felt immediately welcomed and was met with kindness all throughout our stay. Hostels like this one have the essence of what a hostel is, not just a cheap bed to sleep in, but a place for all kinds of people to share experience and bond. Shoutout Pipa and everyone who made us feel at home🫶

Super comfy, good feeling, hostel meals and activities+

Casa Punta is a great vibe - very social friendly and chill. However, it is too expensive for what it offers. There is no AC and the fans didn’t work one night. It was very hot. We asked for a discount to compensate for the inconvenience and they said no. There are no railings or curtains on the bunks in the shared dorms so it is a bit scary. There is no official cleaning staff. Only the volunteers clean the rooms and bathrooms so it was often dirty.

Mit Abstand das beste Hostel, in dem ich bisher war. Super angenehme, familiäre Stimmung – man kommt sofort ins Gespräch und fühlt sich wohl. Die Lage ist ebenfalls unschlagbar und ideal, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Würde jederzeit wiederkommen!

We had a great time at casa Punta. Thanks to the staff and especially pipa. The hostel vibe was really nice. Good social vibes if you’re up for that, but also fine if you just want to chill by yourself. Facilities were good. No airconditioning and mostly not warm showers were fine for us. Would highly recommend this hostel.

Favorite hostel in Puerto, perfect location, nice rooftop on the Main Street, close to the beach but not noisy so you can rest and be connected to town. Everyone from staff is really kind and you have a feeling of home, good dinners, social activities and music ! Maxi gives best recommendations and he’s always helping with what u need and Pipa is really kind she worries about everyone and includes you in everything. Amazing stay at Casa Punta! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of La Punta and steps from the surf. Highlight was the social vibe and the incredibly helpful volunteers. If you’re looking for a sterile accommodation, this isn't it - expect some sand and a laid-back attitude toward room cleanliness. It’s part of the charm! I totally get why people extend their stay here; the vibe just draws you in. I’d definitely come back!

The most friendly and social hostel I’ve ever been to! Have so many fun activities on everyday ran by the staff/volunteers. Perfect location just a minute from the beach and in the heart of La Punta. Will definitely be back 🤩

Amazing hostel with great people. Good location close to the beach and restaurants. Very welcoming staff and I immediately felt at home here, would highly recommend for those looking for a laid back but still social atmosphere!

Ich habe meinen ursprünglich geplanten Aufenthalt von 4 Tagen auf 14 Tage verlängert, weil es mir so gefallen hat. Casa Punta ist nicht nur ein Hostel! Es ist ein Ort wo man Erinnerungen sammelt. Alle Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und sehr bemüht dich zu integrieren und auch auf ihre Abenteuer mitzunehmen. Es ist wie eine grosse Familie, wo du aber trotzdem deinen eigenen Rückzugsort haben kannst. Hängematte auf der Dachterasse, Couch, hängematte im Aufenthaltsbereich usw. Einfach nu...

Loved my stay here more than I thought I would! Dorm rooms are very basic and HOT so beware, but the social spaces and roof top are great. Staff was so so so amazing and really made this place special. Good vibes all around.

Casa Punta es maravillosa! La ubicación es perfecta, a pocas cuadras de la playa y con muchas opciones cerca, de lugares para comer y conocer personas nuevas! El ambiente es relajado y amigable. Las habitaciones comodas y la terraza, un excelente lugar donde sentir la brisa y compartir con otros huespedes. Personal super amable y atento. Sin duda, volvería a hospedarme cuando regrese a Puerto Escondido

Lovely familial hostel with lovely and welcoming and very accommodating hosts!! The hostel is perfectly situated next to the big street and the beach. Good kitchen. Lots of place to lounge with friends. I recommend!!

Casa Punta es un lugar increíble para quedarse en La Punta. Muy bien ubicado, cómodo y con una vibra súper agradable. Todo queda cerca y se siente perfecto para descansar y disfrutar Puerto Escondido. Sin duda volvería.

The hostel has a great vibe! Everybody was very welcoming. My room was clean, my bed was comfortable and I took a shower right after the cleaning lady did the bathroom so it was all tidy. Overall a great experience. BTW I spent the afternoon at the rooftop and the sunset was incredible!

Very Good Hostel. Great location in La Punta. Especially the people from the Hostel and fellow travellers made this place for me. Very social place :)
