Lacasa Old Town Villa

+ Location was good

- Stayed at Serenity Villa in Hoi An and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We checked in around 8:30pm and were only then informed that there would be construction works happening. At that point, moving accommodation wasn’t really an option, so we stayed. However, every morning from 7am the noise was extremely loud — to the point where it was impossible to relax or even remain in the room past 8am. The room itself was also not comfortable — the bed was very hard and the room had a musty smell throughout our stay. We also used their laundry service, which turned into another issue. When our clothes were returned, a pair of Nike shorts and a top (both well-worn and previously washed many times without issue) were stained dark blue and completely ruined. We raised this with staff and were told they would rewash them, but they came back in the exact same condition. We were then told the damage was caused by our sunscreen and sweat — which makes no sense given these clothes were brought from home and have never had issues before. While we did receive a refund for the laundry, when we asked about compensation for the roughly €150 worth of clothing that was destroyed, the staff were dismissive and quite rude. The interaction felt very unprofessional, and the blame was entirely shifted onto us.

- Las habitaciones de la planta baja son muy ruidosas. Muy difícil descansar. El precio muy alto para la calidad de las habitaciones

- Le matelas à ressort et une forte odeur d humidité dû à l ancienneté du bâtiment certainement, pour moi difficile à supporter .

+ Wir haben das Hotel aufgrund der guten Bewertungen gebucht. Leider, wurden wir hier sehr enttäuscht. Was uns an der Unterkunft gut gefallen hat war das Personal und die Lage.

- Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt auf ein Tag gekürzt, da nach betreten des Zimmers uns leider einen feuchten, ekligen Geruch entgegen kam. Unser Ausblick war auf einen Garten der komplett vermüllt war. Zudem lebte ein Hahn dort, der ab halb 5 geschrien hat. Das Bett war komplett ungemütlich. Es hat sich angefühlt als, ob man auf dem Boden schlafen würde. Ich bin Asthmatikerin und hatte wirkliche Schwierigkeiten Luft zubekommen. Ich rate es jedem ab der damit Probleme hat. Aufgrund unseres frühen Check-Outs war das Personal sehr bemüht uns ein anderes Zimmer zu geben, damit wir unseren Aufenthalt verlängern. Leider hatten wir nach dieser Nacht keine Lust mehr und wollten nur noch gehen. Außerdem hätte man uns dieses vermeintliche bessere Zimmer auch von Anfang an anbieten können, wenn es frei gewesen wäre. Wir haben einen kleinen Rabatt bekommen, was ich sehr nett vom Manager fand. Vielleicht arbeitet das Hotel an den Problemen und dann wäre es hier bestimmt ein schöner Aufenthalt gewesen.

- הגענו בלילה כי הטיסה התעכבה. למרות שהמארח ידע, המקום היה חשוך ולא היה מי שיקבל אותנו. הערנו אותם משינה. מזרוני המיטות גרועים מאוד. מזרוני קפיצים ישנים, קשים ושקועים. נאלצנו לעבור חדר תמורת תוספת כסף וגם שם המזרון היה גרוע. לא אוסיף עוד תיאורים. חבל... המארח מאוד נחמד אך המקום די מוזנח ומחוסר חוויה שירותית. יש הרבה מה לשפר!

- The hotel is on the lower end of the price range for the area, so the mattresses, linens are what you should expect. Totally functional and ok but it isn’t the Sheraton.

+ Le personnel est très gentil, prêt à conseiller. L'emplacement est top, on a tout fait à pied. Excellent rapport qualité prix.

- La literie peut être un peu trop locale car assez dure :-)

+ Excelent location. Walking distance to everywhere. Elevator is a plus. Kind and helpfull stuff. Pool doesnt looked the same in the photos it needs to be cleaned. Poor breakfast.

- Noisy, could be more carefull about cleaning no hausekeeping.

+ This property was in the heart of Old Town just 2 mins from the night market and wonderful places to eat. We stayed here for 3 weeks and enjoyed the easy location. Free bikes to use as well which was a real bonus. Staff were always attentive and very friendly to any requests.
