Bad price-performance ratio, much too small room!
My friend got kicked out of the hostel because he was given a female dorm instead of the mixed dorm I ordered. He got in late from a night out, realized he was in a female dorm, went to front desk, waited an hour before someone showed up. Told them they gave the wrong room and the front desk person told him "there is nothing I can do about it, you will just have to leave". Did not give a new room for the mistake the hostel made. My friend had to leave at 5 am. Shower in my room was also broken.
wow. we were so wildly unimpressed with this stay! we have two large bags each. and the lockers weren’t big enough for my handbag or laptop.they charge you for the storage room and won’t tell you how much bc it depends on the bag size. additionally, me and my partner were allocated beds on the opposite side of the room, we asked to swap beds, they said no it’s fully booked and everyone’s checked in, it was exactly 3pm and there was no sign of a person in the room. the staff were rude.
Biggest drawback was how small the room (female dorm) was. My bed was literally 20 cm from the next bed. It almost felt like the next girl and I were in the same bed. The bathroom was nice and clean. They charge 6.5€ for an unsecured luggage room (you need a key to enter the room but there are no individual lockers) which seems excessive.

This is not a hostel, this is a hotel. It should not be advertised as such. The rooms (while having bunks and singles), do not have the atmosphere nor design to be considered a hostel. The location is out of the main hub of the city, however, it is close to the train station.
Die Betten waren komplett verstaubt und meine Decke war dreckig. Die Lage ist zwar relativ zentral, aber trotzdem keine schöne. Sobald es dunkel wurde, habe ich mich in diesem Bereich von Heidelberg nicht sehr sicher gefühlt.

I think the only thing that is really good in this hostel is that it is clean. The room is really small, with just a tiny space between the beds. Also the lockers are tiny, even my small backpack didn’t fit in. The kitchen is not well equipped at all and is very small compared to the size of the hostel. They asked me to leave my room even though it was two hours before check out time. Plus it isn’t located in the nicest area.
basically a hotel. if you just looking for a place to stay in, its good.

Great hostel the only bad thing is that someone throw out half of our grocery (that was correctly labelled) in the trash for no reason and we couldn't find who did it since there is no security camera in the kitchen
Clean, close to the station, very helpful staff, but no hostel vibe, and very little space in the room (was in a 4 bed dorm).

I love the room, the service, the cleanliness, the organization and the location.
Zimmer übernachten absolut ausreichend. vom Bahnhof gut zu Fuß erreichbar. In die Inennstadt fährt ein Bus. die Küche ist soweit ok ausgestattet, sodass man sich ein kleines Essen zubereiten kann. Der Schlafsaal ist etwas klein.
The rooms are absolutely enough for the night. from the train station is easily reached on foot. there is a bus to the Inennstadt. the kitchen is well equipped so that you can prepare a small meal. the bedroom is a bit small.
It’s a nice place! Met some cool people. However, be aware of bedbugs, I found a baby bedbug immediately upon entering my room, I was then given a new room which was fine but the staff told me it wasn’t a bedbug ( I had them earlier this year in my apartment) so I’m worried they didn’t really do anything about it. They offer food and drinks (expensive) but have a decent kitchen for guests to cook in. Having an elevator was also awesome as my room was on the 4th floor and I had been walki...
very nice hostel near the station! however if you’re looking for a sociable vibe, this is not the place. also my room’s bathroom was completely flooded, when my roommates asked for help, the staff put a bunch of towels all over the floor, which felt really uncomfortable whenever we needed to use the bathroom. also charging for a luggage room (not even with lockers) is ridiculous… we’re already travelers on a budget

Great place. Clean shared dorms and helpful staff - they provided everything that I forgot to pack (like toothbrush and towel). Nice vibe, very close to hauptbanhof, around 30 min from Old Town.
O quarto poderia ter armários/locker maiores. Além disso, as camas são muito próximas, várias vezes acordei com o calor da respiração do meu colega de quarto no meu rosto. O ralo do chuveiro estava entupido e, por isso, várias vezes o banheiro ficava alagado. Dois alimentos meus foram jogados no lixo em uma limpeza da cozinha. Além disso, no primeiro dia havia copos e xícaras na cozinha, mas a partir do segundo não. Deveriam informar no post do hostel que você precisa levar seus copo...
The room could have larger closets/locker rooms. in addition, as the beds are very close, several times I woke up with the heat of my roommate's breath on my face. the shower hose was clogged and, therefore, several times the bathroom was clogged. two of my foods were thrown in the trash in a kitchen cleaning. in addition, on the first day there were chips and cups in the kitchen, but from the second no. I should have informed the hostel post that you need to take your chips and cups.

Nice Facility, Friedmund staff....However this is basically a full time rented college dorm...lots of College students staying max days to look for places to stay/ room-board...would be nice to have stayed with other travelers vs a bunch of students...idk...

Das Hostel liegt direkt am Bahnhof was praktisch ist aber andererseits ist die Gegend des Hostels eher menschenleer und von Baustellen und Gewerbe geprägt. Es dauert ca. 25 min zu Fuß bis zur belebten Gegend mit Cafés und Restaurants. Zimmer sind sauber und modern, jeder hat ein kleines Schließfach auf dem Zimmer (eigenes Schloss nötig). Küche ist gut ausgestattet und gepflegt. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und ich habe mich sicher gefühlt. Insgesamt eher eine ruhige und entspannte Atmo...
The hostel is located directly by the train station which is practical but on the other hand the area of the hostels is rather human-free and characterized by construction sites and businesses. it takes about 25 min on foot to the busy area with cafes and restaurants. the rooms are clean and modern, everyone has a small Schließfach auf dem Zimmer (own Schloss nötig). the kitchen is well equipped and maintained. the staff are friendly and I have felt safe. overall rather eine ruhige und entspan...
clean, easy check in and out. Close to train station, good for people having layover with connecting trains.

Everything is great, except smelly sheets and beds.
It's not somewhere I would stay if I was trying to explore Heidelberg. If you have a train to catch in the morning or something similar, then this is where you would stay. It's clean and does the job but there is nothing exceptional happening here. I've stayed here twice: no issues but the second time we came past 10pm and even though they advertise 24/7 reception we had to wait a while for someone to come to the desk. It's a fine hostel, nothing special and it does the job.
