The hostel is nicely located, perfect to explore the city. The staff was very friendly and the community room is perfect to connect with likeminded solo travelers. I really enjoyed it.

The hostel location, environment, and amenities are definitely worth it! All other guest were friendly and respectful. The staff was very friendly and flexible to what worked well for me. The only concern was one night I could not sleep due to constant bug bites, though I believe this was from mosquitos coming from outside, NOT bugs in the beds.
Looks like a grandmother's house and the staff really is caring and welcoming. For the female only dorm there is a private bathroom in front that if you are quick to get it feels like a luxury. Also very nice that they offer free cereal for breakfast. There is also a calm reading room where guests gather at night (although the one night I stayed there wasn't particularly convivial). The opposite of a party hostel but really cosy and safe.
I had a wonderful stay at the hostel! Though it’s not very big, the location is fantastic, and everything is kept incredibly clean. I truly enjoyed my time with the other guests, and it felt like a home away from home. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the lady in charge of management. She was so kind, benevolent, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Her warmth made my stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for making my visit so memorable!
My first ever hostel stay and i couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Hostel is located right at the bottom of the stairs to the castle and just a 2 minute walk from the main street with lots of bars and restaurants. hostel itself is in a quiet location for peaceful sleep and all the staff is very helpful and ready to give you some great recommendations. there is also a female only bathroom which is much appreciated and a small balcony for smokers. Highly recommend!

This was mu first stay at a hostel and it was absolutely amazing. The host was so kind and welcoming right from the beginning of my trip. The room was so nice, clean, and the lockers were great. I stayed in the 6 bed female room and used the female washroom. It was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast options were lovely and I loved the atmosphere of the living room. The hostel was also in a great location and near everything I needed. This was definitely a great decision and I will be back

The stereotypes are true: no one can beat Germans at organising stuff and just doing things efficiently. After years of travelling, I can declare that this is the only hostel that puts ‘guests’ before profit. The little help stickers on the walls everywhere guiding you about stuff (turning lights on, or random info), a cozy common area, the absolute cleanliness and order, the kindness of staff, and the overall thoughtfulness put into everything in this hostel is second to none. Great job!
I was AMAZED at this place! My only regret was staying for one night! This is A MUST STAY!

Sehr cozy, klein und fein sehr schön. Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Küche könnte es noch mehr Platz zum Essen geben an Tischen. Und die Bezahlung online mit Visa war bei all unseren Karten (4) leider nicht möglich. Wäre schade, wenn die Übernachtung daran scheitert
Very cozy, klein and fein very nice. staff very friendly. kitchen could there be even more room to eat and tables. and the online payment with Visa was not possible with all of our cards (4) however. it would be a shame if the overnight stay fails because of this
El lugar es acogedor. Tiene justo y lo necesario para un viaje de paso. Alison fue la chica que me atendió fue muy amable, explicó todo correctamente y estuvo pendiente siempre. En la mañana puedes comer cereal con leche que es cortesía de la casa, o tomar un té. Dormí 10/10.
The place is cozy. it has just and necessary for a trip of a lifetime. alison was the girl who attended me was very kind, explained everything correctly and was always attentive. in the morning you can eat cereal with milk that is courtesy of the house, or have a cup of tea. i slept 10/10.
This was my first ever hostel experience and it has set the bar prettty high for me now!!! Everything was rlly good the Staff Carmen and Barbara are such a sweethearts and the people you end up meeting are also really nice. The location is absolutely perfekt. I'm surely going back again!!! The bed was comfortable i choose a female only dorm and they also have a separate washroom for females only that's a plus they're always well stocked rlly clean and honestly NO COMPLAINSS
I never leave ratings, but for LOTTE I'm making an exception. You can tell both personnel and owner are frequent backpackers. Everything has been thought of! Not sure if there was a washing machine, but if there was I would've still used my 'washing day for another day and place. This hostel is simply too great to waste a 'washing day' on! Super clean, great social space, spacious rooms, breakfast coffee and tea. Just spark up a conversation with your fellow travelers and you'll have a blast!

Es war ein sooo schöner Aufenthalt. Man fühlt sich bei Lotte sofort wohl und alle sind super nett!!:) Ich werde aufjedenfall wieder kommen.

Amazing hostel! So friendly and amazing location right under the castle. Staff were amazing and the coffee machine, tea, and cereal were much appreciated. Kitchen was nice. Atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt! Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich, die Zimmer und das Bad sehr sauber und die Küche gut ausgestattet. Das Wohnzimmer ist sehr gemütlich und einladend.

What a wonderful hostel!! I really loved staying here and everyone I spoke to said the same thing. It’s so cozy, clean, and well located. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Extra points for free coffee, tea, and cereal (they even provide milk and non-dairy milk). Oh, and you don’t have to wash your dishes, what a service!!
Might be one of my favorite hostels I've visited, of the many I visited so far. Staff was incredible nice, the shared living / kitchen area was cozy and clean, the free coffe, milk and cereals are definitely a plus! Would come again :D

Our group of 5 was received so graciously and we loved our stay at Lotte. Excellent value and next time I’m in Heidelberg I hope to stay there again.
