Leevin Hostel Mountjoy

We found bed bugs on our second night. Staff was nice and gave us a second room but when I came back to return the original key, it was implied we brought the bed bugs with us even though this was the first stop of our trip.

After my second night I woke up with bug bites all over my body. I emailed management and they didn’t respond so I’m not sure what’s being done about it (checking for bed bugs, etc.). We decided not to stay for our final night because of this. The staff was really apologetic and offered laundry tablets, but we just wanted to get going.

Read before I came that they've had bedbugs. I didn't see any myself but a girl in the hostel told there were bedbugs in a room on the women's floor at the time I was there. Came home today and did all the precautions for possible bedbugs exposure just in case..i can't afford to gamble on that. The shower has black mold. They clean the showers in early mornin so I woke up and almost shat my pants trying to locate a toilet on the house..I found one on the next floor up but there was a cleaning lady inside. I just went in anyway telling her I'd go on the floor if she didn't let me in. So she did thank god 😑 The whole place smelled like damp moldy wet clothes. Just musty. Thankfully no smell in our room but that's maybe cause the windows were open all day.

Even worse than the bedbugs in the all female dorm Leevin email customer service has left me feeling gaslighted. I keep showing them hostelworld's messages stating they do not get involved in refund between guests and the hostel, but Leevin hostel insists on waiting for a formal follow up from them which they just read they will never get.

Feedback for Leevin Hostel – Stay on the Night of June 17th I stayed at Leevin Hostel from the night of June 17th to June 18th, in Room 17, Bed 4, and unfortunately, I had a terrible experience due to a bedbug infestation. Throughout the night, I was bitten multiple times by bedbugs – small insects that hide in mattresses and bed frames, come out at night to bite, and then retreat again. I woke up with numerous bites all over my arms, legs, and feet. At first, I thought it might be something else, but I’ve dealt with bedbugs before and I recognise the signs. The bites were itchy, swollen, and painful, and are still causing discomfort days later. I have taken photos of the bite marks as proof, which I intend to share directly with the hostel team. The night was unbearable, and I could barely sleep. This was a serious health and hygiene issue. I strongly recommend that Room 17 and Bed 4 be inspected and treated immediately to avoid affecting other guests.

This property has bed bugs. Two friends and I were supposed to stay at this location for three nights however on the first night there were bed bugs and we decided to leave. The staff was not helpful in the slightest and were very hostile towards us after we reported the issue. The staff was not profession and swept the bed bug issue under the rug when we confronted them. I hope they have fixed this issue, however it felt like the staff were unphased by this problem and they did not inform the other guests in our rooms of this issue - which was also very concerning.

Bed bugs!!! Not clean facilities!! 避雷!

There were bedbugs in the bed 南京虫がベッドにいて、体中、噛まれて大変でした

I booked the room with curtains but my bed was dirty so i got tranfered to a room filled with bedbugs. I asked to get transfered but they didnt have a free bed so i was forced to sleep in a bed with bedbugs.

Grateful that we could tell the floor has been freshly mopped. As we were checking for bed bugs, we found dirt and debris from previous guests under the mattresses in our room. The men’s restroom was persistently dirty and the bed area was hot even though the window was open.

THERE WERE BED BUGS IN MY BED. when i asked for a refund because i slept 2 nights with BED BUGS the receptionist shrugged her shoulders. Absolutely disgusting. I want my money back. I had to stay another day in Dublin just to wash all of my stuff so I wouldn’t be a carrier. I’m so unbelievably disgusted. Letting yall know this means they don’t wash the sheets or inspect the beds when they clean the rooms.

Leevin Hostel is good. However, I was bitten by bedbugs and got really unsatisfied. Moreover, I found them walking around and other people related the same problem in my room. It was a nightmare. I texted them and explained the situation and they did not answer anything. I do not recommend this place. The staff is really friendly, but my skin is horrible now. I had to clean all my stuff in a different place, look for another hostel and find a doctor. They should solve this issue ASAP!
