The bed and room were dirty, with few options to secure belongings. The atmosphere did not feel social.
Staff refused to turn on the air conditioning prior to 7 PM, and they turn it off at 7 AM and open the doors, the room fills with mosquitoes. I asked them to turn it on for only one hour, as there were several people in the hot room sleeping, we were all getting bitten, they absolutely refused. Coming in late, security asked me to identify my belongings by opening my pack, showing them what I had stored in the bunk. I became violently ill after eating the breakfast for 8hours. Staff unfriendly.
This place would be the perfect hostel if management wouldn’t be so tight with A/c & cleaning. It has great social atmosphere + comfortable. Super clean. The problem is they rush to turn the a/c off at 8am while half the room still sleeping. they open the outside doors for “ventilation” which lets heat & mosquitoes in and you get bit all over your body and hot in 5 minutes. Then they rush in to reset the empty beds making tons of noise at 9am. They ruines the entire reason to be there, sle...
Das Hostel war gut gelegen und leicht zu finden. Allerdings gab es für so viele Menschen nur sehr wenige Toiletten. Die Betten wackelten sehr. Das Frühstück war super lecker aber etwas klein.
The hostel was well located and easy to find however there were very few toilets for so many people the beds were very wobbly the breakfast was super delicious but a little small.
Hostels look good and the lounge area is nice. However, apparently they often have floods in the dorms. When this happened at night they cleaned it up but tried to keep it hidden and didnt tell us. Only the next morning we found all our stuff to be drenched in toilet water. A refund was promised but the manager never reached out anymore as promised by the staff and did not refund.
Arrived in Panama and wasn’t the nicest welcome to a hostel I’ve had. Hostel didn’t seem to have much offerings , pool was being renovated. Room didn’t have a blanket, just top sheet. I was definitely expecting more from the reviews. Location was ok, didn’t seem like a lot around but a quick Uber. Went downstairs @730 and breakfast wasn’t there, and I was rushed that day so I just headed out hungry.

Nice hostel, clean, with breakfast, a pool and AC. However, I have been to the other Bodhis and I loved it but this one was quite different. Bunker beds are only downstairs, so if you are upstairs you dont have a light nor curtains and there is a lot of light coming in in the morning, best advice is to have an eyemask. And I found it really weird to have alone elder men living in the hostel, those were not travelers... The hostel was not very social

Die Lage des Hostel ist super und eine absolut sichere Umgebung. Das Personal war nett und der Dorm sehr grosszügig. Leider haben die oberen Betten keinen Vorhang, sodass das Licht stören kann. Das Badezimmer im Dorm riecht ziemlich muffig. In den Duschen hat es praktisch keinen Platz sich umzuziehen. Die Sofas im Aufenthaltsbereich fühlen sich dreckig an.
The location of the hostel is great and an absolutely safe environment. The staff was neat and the dorm was very generous. Unfortunately the upper beds don't have curtains so the light can interfere. The bathroom in the dorm smells pretty muffed. In the showers there is practically no room to change. The sofas in the living area feel dirty.

The pillows were lumpy and the vibes were super chill. Very clean very safe hostel. Would recommend if you want some place to keep to yourself

Bodhi is lovely! I had no concern of my safety and no complaints. Breakfast was great :) and it’s in the perfect location. Tons nearby. If you are in dorms just know it can be up to 14 people. But I really loved how big the room was.
Wir haben uns im Bodhi Panama City pudelwohl gefühlt. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr fleißig, besonnen und entspannt. Mit allen möglichen Fragen konnten wir auf sie zukommen. Und es war stets sauber. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Hostels ist dies wirklich ein Juwel. Im Schlafsaal konnte ich sehr gut schlafen, glaube aber, dass die Klimaanlage mal gereinigt werden müsste, da es mitunter etwas gestunken hat (könnte aber auch vom Pool kommen).
We felt very good at Bodhi Panama City. The staff are very hardworking, thoughtful and relaxed. We could come to them with all kinds of questions. And it was always clean. Unlike many other hostels this is really a Jewel. In the bedroom I could sleep very well, but I think that the air conditioning would have to be cleaned badly, as it sometimes smelled something (but could also come from the pool).
I’d booked a double room. However, you had to walk through a dormitory to get there. Everything else was great! It takes about an hour to walk to the old town, but it’s a lovely stroll along the promenade.Both airports are about 20 minutes away by car. Uber works perfectly.
sehr tolles Hostel, welches ich sehr gerne weiterempfehle. Das Personal ist sehr lieb,zum Frühstück kriegt man leckere Pancakes mit frischen Früchten, der gepflegte Pool ist super für eine angenehme abkühlung.
The staff is very kind, at breakfast you get delicious pancakes with fresh fruits, the well-kept pool is great for a pleasant chill.

Beautiful place to stay in the city- still felt tropical :) Free breakfast was delicious: fruit & fried bread, coffee/tea. The private room had air con, though a bit weird you had to walk through the dorm room to get to it. Free towels!
Ein Hostel eher außerhalb der Altstadt, aber gut zu erreichen durch Uber etc. Sehr gutes abwechslungsreiches, inkludiertes Frühstück und schöner Außenbereich. Im Schlafsaal war ein etwas unangenehmer Geruch, der auch nicht wegging… Eher ein unsozialeres Hostel.
In the bedroom was a somewhat unpleasant Geruch, who also didn't leave... rather an unsozialeres Hostel.

Our private room was accessed through the main dorm room so it was disruptive to dorm guests when trying to use the shared en-suite with the opening and closing of doors. Very musty smell in the room and stains on the sheets and towels. Fine for one night

The hostel is very warm and humid, the air is very warm.
The hostel is really nice, very pretty inside and clean. In the dorm the bottom bunks have privacy curtains and the top bunk are exposed which I didn’t like. I think we where unlucky with the people in our 10 bed dorm, people where extremely loud and didn’t care about anyone else in the room who where trying to sleep, even after asking politely to be quiet.
Stayed in the 10 bunk bed for two nights, was such a pleasant experience. The building feels like a house in Malibu, the cleanliness is impeccable and the staff is A1. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
