It was terrible experience, water was never available. The property displayed 0 responsibilities and did not care about providing security locks, drinking water, toilet rolls. Did not host properly any group event. I had a terrible food and it made my stomach sick. I need a compensation for this booking.
+ Hosts are helpful.
+ location was good
+ The location is great, good views of the mountains. The staff is extremely sweet. We had an issue with the wifi due to our room being in the corner, but they changed our room and the wifi was great for working from the room. The food is absolutely delish! Especially Rony Bhais poha and paranthas were just amazing. They have the cutest lil dogs/cats in the hostel. Overall I would highly recommend this place!
- Would have loved to have cleaning and housekeeping done (and fresh supplies like soap and tp) especially for people staying for over a week as the room can get a bit messy.
+ Very affordable, great community - they are like a close knit community where eveyone knows each other people are there for longer duration, the suggest hidden spots, help you with itinerary. They also schedule day hikes and activities where you can participate. The place is well placed in the old Manali and far from the city chaos but not far from the necessary needs. The food is also great.
- The rooms and overall place is clean but I would love to see some more cleanliness effort in the kitchen area.
+ Staff don't bothers you much You can chill on your terms just follow rules
- Not much space to sit in peace
+ I recently spent 3 unforgettable days at Safar Hostel in Manali, and I can genuinely say it felt like home. This was my first ever solo trip—from Kerala to Manali—and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The people at Safar were absolutely amazing! I made so many new friends, and the environment was so warm and welcoming that I never once felt alone. One person who truly made this trip special was*,KABER* the property manager—well, not really a manager to me anymore, but a true friend. He didn’t treat me like just a guest, but like a best friend. We explored some of the most beautiful spots in Manali together, including an incredible trek to Jogni Waterfall. It was challenging, and honestly, I felt like quitting at just 20% of the way—but Kaber kept motivating us. His guidance, energy, and good vibes pushed us through, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. The hot spring bath near the temple at the end of the trek was the perfect reward. Safar Hostel is more than just a place to stay—it’s a place to connect, to grow, and to feel at peace. I came for a solo journey, but I left with a heart full of friendships and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Manali—especially solo travelers. You’ll find a family here.
+ Can be little more clean
+ Les chambres spacieuses, la deco simple et minimaliste, les fenêtres de la chambre. Le rooftop. Propriétaire très sympa !
- Chambres froides et les chiens font peur ... 😱
+ I loved how the owner take efforts in making everyone's stay memorable and goes out of the way to make group trips so a solo traveller won't feel alone .They have two lovely dogs.good view .good breakfast I would highly recommend the stay
- Shower head and cleanliness of washroom
