Caracola Boutique Hostel

I had BED BUG BITES when I woke up. I thought it was mosquitos bites at first because there’s a lot of mosquitos in this area. It was super itchy during the night and when i woke up I was all red and the bites didn’t go away, I still have small red marks on my back.

Does not use a mattress protector When I asked about it - the guy at the front desk said “bed bugs don’t survive here” smh… I’m not an idiot. Food is terrible and expensive. One night, they were playing American music for a crowd of literally 10 who were just chilling as drinking. It was my birthday, and my last night, so I asked if they could play ONE salsa song so I could dance with my friend, but was denied.

Super schönes Hostel, tolle Einrichtung, tolle Küche, echt sauber. Für 30€/Nacht im Dorm lediglich ein bisschen Bananenbrot inklusive und kein WLAN auf dem Zimmer.

Beautiful rooms and comfy beds, however the drainage system wasn’t working during my stay so the showers and the whole room smelled awful, which we were all struggling with when going to sleep. We were told this couldn’t be fixed. Not the most social hostel, however the ability to use the connecting hostel pool and facilities is a nice bonus.

Eigentlich eine tolle Anlage, aber für den Preis haben mich ein paar Dinge gestört: Bettlaken hatten Flecken, nur kaltes Wasser und kaum Wasserdruck in den Duschen, unmotiviertes Personal an der Rezeption .. dafür eine Traumlage, sehr schöne Gemeinschaftsbereiche und natürlich ein super Pool

Common area was regularly used as a working space my remote workers. I don’t remember a time a loud Dutch exchange wasn’t happening there. Wifi poor in the female dorms and outside of the common areas on the main floor. In the female door, the bathroom doors were loud and difficult to open and close. The shower was always filled with sand. The beds were super comfortable and the lights and outlets worked well. Good locker storage for belongings. Loads of activities throughout...

Cool design hostel, but lacking in the boutique experience you’d expect. The pool is cool and refreshing, but the loud waterfall noise disrupts the vibe. The beds are great—double-sized, new, and firm. However, cleanliness was a major issue: sand, water, and dirty towels were not addressed for days. Sand flies were a constant nuisance. Breakfast was a highlight, but front-of-house staff were lazy, with minimal effort in service. With better cleanliness and service, it could be worth another ...

Perfect spot close to the beach, and such a bonus having access to the facilities at Cocori Lodge but being able to stay away from the noise. Dorm is so nice and having a double bed is amazing! Only negative is that the air conditioning doesn’t reach the upper beds as well so still is quite hot

Really beautiful hostel and we enjoyed our stay here. The beds were super comfy and the AC was perfect temp! Kitchen is properly one of the best I’ve seen in Guatemalan hostels. Would 10/10 recommend staying here as it’s literally a few steps away from their sister hostel which is more party based

Good place. Tbh very luxurious but not really social. But free coffee and banana bread in the morning. Nevertheless, I booked my shuttle to El Salvador through the hostel but the booking went not through/ a mistake happened. The next morning the shuttle didn’t wanna take me since I was not on the list. Eventually after a lot of discussions I could sit on my bagpack on the floor for hours. Other than that, I would recommend it. The capsules are very spacious

This place is easily the best in El Paredon. You get the nice chill aspect but also the party side of cocori lodge if you would like!

Best hostel I’ve stayed in , for such a good price. Had the best sleep I’ve had all month, nice staff, access to beach front and pool. Not social at all though but fine if you are just looking to chill. Great that it has its own kitchen too

Loved it! The beds are super comfy and the dorms are really quiet so you can really rest. The kitchen is really clean and the hostel is beautiful. 100/10

Glaube das beste Hostel in dem ich je war. die Betten sind riesig und gemütlich. man bekommt auch nichts von den anderen mit da die Betten aus Beton sind. Da das Partner Hostel und dieses verbunden ist hat man noch mehr Möglichkeiten und alles was man benötigt. besonders die Küche ist super falls man mal kochen will nvh einer langen Reise

The hostel and staff are absolutely wonderful. Very relaxing areas, has everything you need in the dorms and outside of them. Ideal location, close to the beach and other more active places while still keeping the calm and peacefulness of El Paredon. I’ll recommend this place everyday.

Gorgeous hostel! Really felt luxurious with the double bed, decor was beautiful and so comfortable. Great location, right by the beach and the access of Caracoli lodge was great for the pool, bar and surf lessons. I really recommend this if you’ve done a busy trip in Guatemala and would like to end on a relaxing note 😊 safe were super lovely and the banana bread is 10/10

If you were to design a perfect hostel, this would be pretty close! Being able to use the amenities in the sister property which is connected is also perfect and beach front. Pool area could do with some more sun beds as they are a little hard to get one! Otherwise beautiful and comfortable stay!

This is a GREAT deal for the pool and other Cocori facilities. It is not social, everyone keeps to themselves. Reception staff was kind. Check in is strictly at 3. However, they have a ridiculous policy that they need your ID to rent you a towel.

The staff at Caracola are exceptional. In particular, Danyka, who went above and beyond to problem solve locating some items that were left behind. You could tell she really cared and wanted a good outcome. Caracola has the nicest dorm rooms. It has a lovely atmosphere and access to the pool, restaurant and vibes of the sister hostel Cocori. Thanks for all your assistance.

I had a great stay at Caracola! Staff was amazing and the dorm is really nice. Also a huge plus that the facilities of Cocori may be used. Would definitely recommend.

Loved it here - would come back anytime. Very tranquil but if you are up for socialising you just walk to the main pool. Kitchen and facilities were in very good condition. Staff was super helpful as well.

Amazing location, amazing staff, very relaxed vibe but still social. There’s access to 2 pools, a very well-equipped kitchen, and there’s free coffee and banana bread every morning. The beds are very spacious and the dorms are very clean and nice :) loved it!

Super schönes und ruhiges Hostel! Die Schlafplätze bieten sehr viel Privatsphäre, die Matratzen sind groß und super bequem. Im Innenhof ist ein kleiner Pool und es gibt viele Sitzmöglichkeiten. Das Partnerhostel nebenan hat eine super Poolanlage, Bar, Restaurant und einen direkten Strandzugang. Es ist super sauber und es gibt eine tolle große Küche zum Kochen :-)

Das Hostel war wunderschön, perfekte Lage direkt am Meer, der pool is super, die Leute Mega nett, habe mich so wohl gefühlt das ich noch drei Tage länger gebucht hab. Tolle Menschen kenne gelernt, würde jederzeit zurückkommen.🌞
