Generator Venice

This is a pretty nice hostel - a bit more on the pricy side but it’s located very closer to Venice. You can reach everything by boat - public transportation. The only problem was that there were plenty of bed bugs in my bed which I discovered the next morning.

That I got bed bugs

Un desastre. Tuve que huir con un brote de chinches. Reclamé en la recepción y me dijeron que no tenían tiempo para mi reclamo ni para devolverme el dinero. Ni hablar del gasto en médicos por el brote que me ocasionaron las chinches. Tengo el reclamo hecho en AIRBNB y me reintegraron desde allí una parte del dinero. Son una verguenza.

Bed bugs:( also you cant get here from the main part of venice without taking the water bus which is super expensive. Plus you will get hella bites on your legs

Everything was clean. No bedbugs. They use disposable sheets from what I could tell, which is nice considering how many people stay at this location. The price was good and all employees were very friendly! I did not opt for breakfast but was told by people I met that the food and coffee served was amazing. Location is great in regards to proximity to the main island and ferries come frequently to the stop closest to the hostel. Would definitely stay again!

They gave me bed bugs and none of the showers of toilets were at all clean

Hostel was clean and felt very safe traveling alone. Location was Guidecca so it was just a boat ride away from Venezia S. Lucia which means it was quiet and awat from the noise. A few major issues with the room: -The air conditioning wasn’t on so me and hostelmates woke up sweating multiple times -Woke up with 20 bug bites all over my body (not bed bugs but some other type of bites) -Walls are thin so you can hear talking in other rooms Overall, couldn’t sleep well and was grateful I was only there for

Amazing location. Lobby and patio area also excellent. Staff was incredible. The shared dorms had good locking storage, comfortable well-laid out beds. However, the A/C was broken, forcing all the windows to be open and with no screens. Lots of mosquitoes. Updated: also bedbugs.

BED BUGS!! The building it is in is a lovely old place on the waterfront. It's on a different island to the main attractions of Venice, but I didn't mind the boat (7.5 single/20 for 24 hours). Reception staff were helpful, bar staff not so much. There were a few things that could be better, food is not great, no lights by the beds in dorm, or USB sockets, no space when you get out the shower to get changed, and the door was broke so there was a lot of water everywhere. But these were not deal breakers, kinda to be expected in a hostel, my main issue was bed bugs! My arms, shoulders and face have tons of painfully itchy bites, not good at all, plus I'm concerned they've hitched a ride back home with me!! Edit: In reply to the response from the hostel, I did email you, as soon as I got home, I never had any response.
