Hostel HOMEr - Old Town

genuinely one of the worst hostels I've ever stayed in. location was the only redeemable quality. the photos are not accurate at all, everything is dirty and there's a lingering bad smell in the dorms. not social at all either. pick any other hostel in Prague

Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in, very unhygienic and dirty, night recreation was always later/ never there, supposed to be there from 10pm-8am. Beds were like sleeping of the floor, all the bathrooms were so unclean. Also, it was not sociable at all. My room was on the 3rd floor in the second building and there is no elevator. So I had to walk all the way to the 2nd building and up 3 flights of stairs and the staff showing me to my room were no help at all. I will not be coming back.

Der Preis war saftig. Es ist viel Schimmel im Zimmer vorhanden. Die Betten sind die klapprigsten Dinger von IKEA. Keine Vorhänge, keine Ablage am Bett. Das Bad hat eine Fensteröffnung von 20 x 20 cm und keine weitere Be- und Entlüftung. Die übrigen Möbel gehören auch dringend ausgetauscht. Die Böden und Decken sind extrem in die Jahre gekommen. Die Preise waren aufgrund von Silvester hoch, aber wer so viel Geld verlangt, muss trotzdem Leistung anbieten. Die Lage ist super!

Nos salió muy caro la noche de fin de año para lo que ofrecen (99€ los dos), las estanterías y las mesas gastadas y rotas, el suelo roto, te tropezabas al salir de la habitación. El baño sucio e incómodo. Las camas sonaban mucho. No cambian la inmobiliaria desde hace mucho. El personal invasivo. La atención de la administración pésima. Buena ubicación.

The worst i ever tried, they booked me into a wrong room, then told me I could get 25 percent off but then tried to trick me into Only 20 percent. Very very dirty, things not working, bad bad Beeds and pillows the size of a horse, staff seems mad and annoyed, wifi not working in the room i was put in. I Will never be back. No washing machine

It’s a very beautiful property in a very convenient location and it would make a great Airbnb, but my god it sucked as a hostel Internet didn’t work at all; when I arrived a guest was locked in and the host had to spend several minutes getting him out; and the host tried to shortchange me when I paid for the night. Overcomplicated mode of entry, zero atmosphere (I was the only person under the age of 40 in my room), and sloppy management.

The hygiene here was just unacceptable. A cockroach literally fell from the ceiling. The bathroom and the room were both really dirty. Getting in and out was a hassle too. Since it’s inside another building, I had to stand outside for about 10 minutes until someone came to open the main door. They didn’t tell me in advance that it’s cash only, so I had to use some scammy ATM and ended up paying an $8 fee. The place is downtown, so it’s super loud all night.

The beds and the pillows were completely dirty. The bed sheets were also dirty with choles. The lockers are so small, only a small handbag can fit there. For 3 days the bathroom didn’t clean. If u have problems with sleeping with lights there is no way to keep the room dark. Overall, great location if you want the room just to sleep and you don’t mind the cleanliness.

You get what you pay for, a really good location at the center of the old town, bedding is okay, there was one bathroom with one toilet and one shower on the floor and on the weekend it was really loud (but that’s what you get for sleeping in the old town). The kitchen is okay, but there wasn’t any real common room to hang out.

Locatie was top, kamer zelf was goed ruim, maar er waren 3 douches in 1 ruimte zonder dat er een deur op slot kon. Hierdoor kon er maar 1 iemand tegelijk douchen. Kamer was wel voorzien van een grote keuken.

This is a great hostel. It is in the heart of the city and you can walk to everything. Very affordable. The staff is excellent! Very nice. The amenities are great. They also have a laundry service. They folded my clothes for me! On the day of arrival, I arrived at 10am after taking an overnight bus. I wanted to store my luggage and come back at 2pm to check in. They told me that the bed was open and checked me in early. Life savers! Highly recommend!

Mobiliar veraltet, z. Teil kaputt.Räume sind dreckig. Wände sind dünn, daher ist alles hellhörig. Es gibt 1 Bad mit 1 Dusche + 1 Klo für die gesamte Etage (26 Betten), das kein Fenster oder Abzug hat und daher ständig nass ist. Die Küche ist schlecht ausgestattet.Das einzig Gute ist die zentrale Lage direkt im Zentrum, zwei Gehminuten vom Prager Rathaus entfernt.

amazing location right in the middle of Prague ! Beautiful rooms also and a good kitchen - when we stayed there was only one working shower on our floor and two toilets which made it hard to get a spot. Overall really nice, would def come back.

For guests checking out late at night or very early in the morning, a drop in box for room keys might be a good idea. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

La ubicación es excelente. El resto es aceptable; en mi opinión, es una buena opción para una estancia corta de dos o tres días como máximo.

Very much a no thrills hostel. Staff are very kind however the property is quite unclean, with the beds in the 16-person room being squeaky and loud when anybody moves in them.

Place was well located and staff excellent. There were a few people who were speaking on their phones pretty much the entire time I was there, including early in the morning and late at night. But, not the hostels fault!

Super Lage und tolle Menschen

good value for what you pay, bathrooms and bedrooms are spacious and clean.

A great place to stay for a short trip but the phrase “you get what you pay for” is definitely relevant. I found hairs on my pillow before i made my bed, the sheets are very worn and old and obviously haven’t been replaced in a while, but i didn’t really mind because the location was so good! Literally walk out the door and you’re in the centre of the old town. Loud at night but the windows provide good sound proofing. No pub crawls or bar so if you are looking to party, think of book...

For the price it’s excellent

Felt insecure in the hostel. And overall wasn’t clean. Ladies in front desk were not nice, but night shift woman was sweet and helped us change rooms.

Muy buena ubicación, habitación grande y con taquillas grandes, calefacción alta, en general me gustó .
