Very disappointed with my stay at Brix Hostel. The fitted sheet on the bed was torn with holes, which felt unhygienic. The mini fridge didn’t work, and only one light worked in both the room and bathroom despite multiple fixtures. The air conditioning leaked when turned on. The window was old and difficult to open, and the blinds barely blocked any light. The room was on the third floor with no elevator, and the stairs felt unsafe with broken railing.
This has to be one of the weirdst hostels of all time it is full of weirdos old people reception that doesn't work and some of the most insane staff you'll find anywhr. Some German woman at the bar acts like an absolute psychopath around you singing to herself for no particular reason, a Hungarian woman who also acts like a psychopath and the crowning jewel the English woman at the front desk who is ready to enforce her own no free speech laws at any point in time like in her own non EU country
Horrendous time! Everything was dirty and old. Bathrooms were small and a standing puddle of water was left in the middle of it for the three nights I was there. Sheets had stains, floors were splitting apart, and only stairs which were small steps. Last day was getting my stuff together to check out and at 9:30 am a cleaner ran a quick mop with bleach around me leaving me in its fumes. When I wanted to check out there was a line with no one working the desk, had to find someone to leave.
Most dirty hostel we have been to date. There are piles of dirty laundry in the reception area and hallway that are taller than us, piles of rubbish in hallways which haven’t been rid of. The room we stayed wasn’t vacuumed on arrival & not clean overall. You can get better!!! wouldn’t recommend
The room was full of dirt, especially behind the beds. our room was the access to 2 other bedrooms, so people kept coming in and out. the dirty mess, no table or places to sit, we had to eat breakfast and dinner afterwards. the bathrooms were the only thing that was saved
If you stay in 12 bed room you must to know, than people from another rooms going THROW you room 🫣 it honestly feels like you're in 50 beds room 🤯👹 Many spaces(in shower or room) looks like have been cleaned NEVER at all ☹️ But for hostel Design, and reception staff i can get 10 👍🏻
After two nights they changed us to another room without telling us, moved our things when we were not there, lost personal items in this move. we requested the laundry service and it took 2 days to deliver the clothes, the first day they wanted to return the clothes saying they had already washed but the clothes were still the same as we delivered them
It's a terrible experience.,I originally booked a room for 12.22-12.23,, but due to hotel failure to clean the room and prepare the room supplies, we were unable to check in, we have already communicated with boss on the phone, he said that will refund we all money. I alread send all my information to he,but nowis a new year, and now I still non get any information and answer。
Brix is a dirty hostel. The bathrooms were exceedingly awful. The shower drain didn't work well. I was standing in inches of water with other people's hair circling my feet. There wasn't much privacy in the bathroom stalls or showers. The bunk bed itself was nice, but again the floors were dirty and a simple sweep would have done the job. Overall, I booked another place to stay within an hour of staying at Brix because I was so disgusted by the cleanliness standards. Do not stay here!!!
I cluldn’t camcel My booking! To hostel didn’t even e-mail me or tried to contact me

niente di che
Nice hostel to stay in for a few days, clean and good-living. The staff was friendly and kind, but the organisation could be better in the rooms. (had to get though another room to get in mine, wasn’t THAT disturbing but for some women I could clearly understand if it was a problem)
Super nice stay but the atmosphere is a bit shady
I recommend visiting the city in 3 days.
Probably the best hostel i have been to so far. The staff is very nice, they clean the hostel every day and u basically have everything u need. Theres a bar, they do events and even have free coffee and water. They also give u a lock to put away ur stuff so its safe and the doors work with key cards so its safe to leave your stuff there. Would definitly come back!

Great atmosphere and vibrant hostel. toilets/showers let it down as they were limited and dated. but great crowd, good kitchen and cheap drinks at the bar. great nightly activities and made heaps of friends, 15 mins to metro or a 40 odd min walk to the clock so overall pretty decent and great value for money!

The truth is I didn't like it, very poor attention, poor organization, despite paying what you have to pay. you have to pay four euros for some reason. you also have to leave 10 euros to be returned before you leave. the ladies room is a room inside the men's room, and that didn't like me.
We absolutely loved our stay at Brix. Firstly, the receptionist (Nico) was terrific, he made us feel so welcome and gave us so many personalised recommendations and help whenever we needed it, he’s a real staple to the place. Also, the Wednesday quiz lead by Umang (apologies if I spent his name wrong) was SUCH a highlight of our trip. Overall Brix was very clean, beautifully decorated and stocked with terrific staff. Absolutely a must-book hostel, and one of my favourites I’ve ever stayed in...
love this spot. the Brix is in Zizkov, just a tram ride away from anythung you want to see in prague. the vibe is good. the dorms are set up a little weird where you have to walk through one to get to another, but the beds are comfy and everything is really clean. my only issue is that when i left in the morning i couldn't find the desk person to get my room key deposit back so i lost 10£.
Fantastic location. Has a lot of good events at night. Also the vibe here is the best. It’s a really great community overall.
Sometimes a great staff just can’t balance out poor facilities. the rooms are setup for consistent noise as they are railroaded together at a single entrance. The locking mechanisms shout “unlocked! locked!” over and over. And people slam the doors. the courtyard is often filled with lots of smokers and that smoke comes right into the hallways with windows that are always getting opened despite how cold it is. Take care not to injure yourself in the tiny WC’s which can’t handle toilet ...
Great spot, awesome staff, the bar inside helps a lot too
Great hostel, not too far from city center, friendly and helpful staff
Excelente lugar , energía y atención
Excellent location, energy and attention
We stayed in the 12 Bed Bed Bedroom, at night it was also quite quiet only the Bedroom have been quiet and the Lockers are partly slightly jammed, but otherwise not bad.
Firstly, want to say the staff were absolutely lovely, friendly and kind. Unfortunately, the hostel itself is quite basic, you had to walk through other people’s dorms to get to some of the rooms which felt invasive. Privacy curtains and lockers were a plus! There was black mould on the ceiling of the women’s showers but other than that the bathrooms were spacious and relatively clean. The location is a bit far from Old Town so hope you don’t mind a tram ride. Events at the bar were cool :...
Security is good, but having a code on every door felt a bit too much, especially since there weren’t enough cards, so I had to enter the code manually. The place was fairly clean and the bed comfortable, though it got quite hot and the small fan at the bed doesn’t work very well. The hostel is a bit far from the main sights, but that’s okay. Overall, a good place to stay in Prague.
