The Boc Hostels - Palma

There were bedbugs and the beds were dirty.

We had bed bugs in our first room. They switched us to another room, but the sheets in that room were super stained and some of the blankets smelled. Everything besides the cleanliness of the beds was fine.

Bed bugs in my bed. Woke up in the middle of the night with bites on various body parts. Went to the front office. They said they would check the room but later said they didn’t find anything and that it would have been mosquitos that bit me - under the blanket (best mosquito pilots ever. They also didn’t make any moves to reimburse me for the stay. The worst part: I found a bed bug in my luggage when I came home and sent them pictures — still waiting for a response.

Había chinches (bedbugs)

Sadly one of the worst hostels I've stayed in, in regards to overall comfort and experience. Got bitten by bed bugs and when I told the reception they pretended that they don't have bed bugs and it is from a mosquito. I don't blame the reception, but the owners really need to take better care of their facilities. 4 out of 6 of the people in the room were bitten by bed bugs so it was an infestation, and sadly I carried them with me back to Luxembourg several days after my flight cause they still keep biting me in my home. Also the room we stayed in and the toilets were sadly too dirty. They cleaning ladies were very kind and helpful but the common areas weren't properly cleansed.

Me cobraron la estadía de mi tarjeta antes de que llegue al hostel sin preguntarme. El método de check in es bastante insoportable. La forma de conectarse al wifi también es imposible, no funciona y no esta bien explicado. Y en la cama de mi novia habia bed bugs que la picaron en todo el cuerpo y en el ojo. El lugar es lindo pero fue una serie de eventos que resultaron en una estadia bastante molesta.

Las bases de los colchones están sumamente sucias y manchadas. La chica que compartió conmigo tenía picadas en sus piernas y al final yo también. Creo que tenéis chinches.

Bed bugs

The hostel has a bed bug infestation. They changed my room as I found bed bugs on the first night during my 12 night stay only as booking .com intervened ( i had booked through them) and took photos as proof , In the second room, there were luckily no bedbugs, but They really need to work on their hygiene standards!!! My bedsheets were changed twice during my 12 day stay and the second time as I requested for the change twice... no wonder they have a bedbug problem ...as they maintain such low hygiene standards! The common toilets and bathrooms were also almost always filthy . Really bad hygiene standards . The whole hostel is also without air-conditioning, and in 35-40 degrees Celsius, like it was when I went there, it was unbearable, and the ceiling fans did not help at all . It was one of the worst hostel experiences I have ever had in my life . After arriving in peak July season, unfortunately,I could not afford to get my accommodation changed and had to somehow get through this....Absolute nightmare . And the response to my review with sarcasm and threats just proves my point again . Defamation is not just a Crime in Spain it is a crime in almost all of the world !!!! Calling someone a liar or Pinnochio is also defamation , if it was a lie and not really bedbugs why not prove it when it was pointed out then and there, why keep it hush -hush and ... why change my room in the first place . Instead of writing sarcastic and threatening replies to google reviews please try to put in the same effort in the sanitation and Hygiene standards of your Hostel , and please hire the Exterminators you need them ! Like me and previous travellers have pointed out in the reviews , it is after all not Just one Mention of the Bedbugs . Who is the Pinnochio and who's nose continues to grow will become clear ! Like I said a complete nightmare .

The hostel has Bed Bug infestation, Bed sheets are hardly changed without requesting ....my bedsheets were changed twice during my stay of 12 days and only becausei requested that they change the sheets , toilets and showers not cleaned properly at all, they were absolutely filthy Really need to work on the hygiene standards. I have to say this is the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. It was an absolute nightmare.

Es un desastre hay una plaga de bichos en las habitaciones,hemos salido todos picados tienen chinches en los colchones y no les importa nada, no lo recomiendo.

BED BUGS! got horrible bites. 99% sure it was from here as it was the only bed I didn't check thoroughly as I arrived late from the airport. The bites showed a day after I slept there which is when bites reveal itself. I also asked one of the girls I met in the dorm and she also got bites too! Hostel also did not have any atmosphere and was really just a place to sleep - but even in that sense it failed

Tienen una plaga de chinches en las camas,la recepcionista brasileña es muy (incompetente, inválida, desagradable, pedante, ingrata ....no tengo palabras. Puedo decir que un tal recepcionista llamado precius y lisa fueron muy amables conmigo, le dan luz a ese lugar que parece una tapadera .

The Hostel itself wouldnt be bad due to its location, but the room was infested with bed bugs, which is a NO GO! Apparently i forgot to check something and my place is infested now. DONT GO TO THIS HOSTEL UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE STRUGGLING WITH BED BUGS A WHOLE WEEK AFTER RETURNING HOME
