The Connection Hostel

The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful! They were definitely the highlight of this hostel. That said, this has been my least favorite hostel I have stayed at while traveling. I could feel the springs of the mattress as I slept. There was little to no walking room in our room, and the lockers were quite small so everyone’s bags took up the walking space we did have. The room also smelled strongly of urine (even with the 5 air fresheners in the room). I would not stay here again.

Stayed on the top floor female dorm room - This room had a bathroom. Never smelt something so revolting in our lives. We were sickened at the smell of the dorm. Even typing this review I can still smell that room. Disgusting, and un sleep able. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but as soon as we checked in I told the staff we will not be staying for the 2nd night. How can you allow people to sleep in a room that smells like that? Awful atmosphere to add, there was no other guests. No wonder

"no AC from 11 AM to 4 PM, our policy and all hostel do the same" Lies, balant, doors of shower broken, toilets clogged, staff aint nice, defo should habe went to big and o's or another one. Expensive for what it is and went really nice for the rating

It was not bad but also not really good. Beds were hard asf, bathrooms were not that clean and also the shower was cold and you couldn’t change the heat. I don’t know how social the hostel is as I was away most of the time but in the evening there were often people and they also organise trips which you can book at the hostel.

this is the first time i’ve felt I wanted to leave a review. I booked the 4 bed female “superior” dorm, in the description it says it’s a large room & it was probably the smallest i’ve had this whole trip. no room to put your stuff if you’re on top bunk. The bathroom REEKED, it was god awful. Smelt like something died. The common room is uncomfortable and not super social. The staff didn’t seem to be organizing any acticities, they didn’t really seem like they wanted to be there ...

This hostel was ok. Compared to others in Chiang Mai this is on the bottom of the list as there’s so many other ones in the city for the same price. Beds are hard and reception didn’t answer WhatsApp when I accidentally left my key in the room. Luckily I found someone who could open it for me

Really enjoyed staying in Connection Hostel. The staff were the best and the common room is a good way to meet new people and break the ice with games. They have good services like the shuttle to Pai and a ton of crackers to scran whenever you’re in the kitchen. Would recommend but the doors need a tutorial on how to open

I’m a female solo traveler and I booked a female only dorm. It was my least favourite hostel I stayed in on my trip. The room was really small and not much room for my bag so packing and unpacking was tricky. The bathroom also wasn’t the cleanest. One staff member was really friendly I think his name was Ai. I went with the intention of meeting some people but actually didn’t meet anyone- maybe that was my fault I don’t know.

The toilet smells

Everyone working there is really nice and helpful. It’s a social hostel and people are extroverted, though it’s sometimes not very busy. Beds & bathroom are clean. There’s a pool table. However I haven’t stayed at a hostel where I had worse sleep. The mattress is very hard and the door lock makes loud sounds and is tricky to use, people usually try a few times before it works, making even more noise.

Great place to stay, PP made us feel very welcome and had an amazing 4 night stay.

Good hostel, good location. The service was excellent but the stand out was Bee. When I suggested getting a chess board he purchased one and gave it to me to use within twenty minutes. Most exceptional of great service in any industry I've ever receieved. Thank you!

Had a great time in this hostel. Sara and poupe form the staff were really nice en enthusiastic. The first night they organised to play ring of fire with everyone wich made it really easy to make new friends

Increible lugar! La atencion de Alex fue buenisima en todo momento y la limpieza del lugar tambien. Estuvimos cuatro noches y nos quedamos tres mas. Ideal para conocer gente 👏🏻

Poupée was amazing! She was super helpful and really sweet. She took us to the elephant sanctuary which was so fun and then out for lunch. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome hostel! Stayed for 5 nights beds were very comfortable and everything was super clean. Very close to food markets. Nat the owner was awesome and super helpful with anything you need! Would highly recommend staying here

One of the best hostels in the area, very close to the city center

Very happy with my stay here and ended up returning as well. Nice and clean rooms, fresh towels and clean bathrooms with separate toilets and showers. Very friendly staff and a great social atmosphere. Good location and just 4 minutes walk to a good and cheap food market. Also good WiFi.

Super tolles Hostel. Eine sehr praktische Lage nahe beim Zentrum aber dennoch an einem ruhigen Ort. Die Räumlichkeiten waren super, ausserdem hat es einen tollen Chillbereich mit Billiardtisch. Wir wurden stets vom Personal unterstützt, vor allem Sara hat unseren Aufenthalt noch viel besser gemacht. Vielen Dank!
