Bedbugs alert! Do not sleep in this hostel!

BED BUGS - AVOID!! I booked a private room for a few nights and had to pay up front. The room itself was damp and not clean upon check-in, but to make things worse, I woke up next to bed bugs the next morning. When I told reception, they offered me insect repellant as a solution. The manager was extremely unhelpful and not impressed by the incident (if you dig into the reviews on Hostelworld, bed bugs are a common theme, so I guess that's no surprise). I checked out the same day and didn't get a refund or the money for the remaining nights as they "don't do refunds".

this hostel was amazing in every way other than the fact that we ended up finding bed bugs in one of the female dorms in september :/ a very minor case but definitely there. unfortunate as we enjoyed every other aspect of the hostel. the staff were very nice and cleaned the room thoroughly but we didn’t want to stay and they unfortunately refused to refund us. i ended up with a che voucher but an unfortunate experience. i’m sure just and time and hopefully not bed bugs anymore.

They haven’t charged us for the rooms and what we’ve consume, but they refuse to pay for the express program in the laundry, and they also refuse to pay for the laundry of the people that weren’t in the room - but like we’re friends, staying together. I’ve never seen that in my life. The manager was arguing that we might have bring them - like what ? That’s how you treat your customers ? We were in two separate rooms, if we had them before all of us would have been bitten, but it was the case in only one room. Disappointing, they’ve ruined our vacations, we’ll have to take care of this by ourselves. I’ll recommend to never go there, they won’t support you if you have a problem.

There are bed bugs and the hostel tries to keep it quiet!

One of the guests notified other guests in the hostel whatsapp that their room had bed bugs. The hostel staff deleted the message and kicked the guest from the group, then pasted a long message about a tour to push the deleted messages up. This happened twice. I think they fumigated the next morning, but awful communication. My room also had a leaking roof. But location is nice; tons of food, beaches, nightlife, and the collectivo station in walking distance. Great atmosphere, shoutout Camilla.

I booked a private room and was very disappointed with the value for money, the privates are really expensive for humid rooms that are not the cleanest, I even had to ask to be changed rooms because the first I got had bedbugs in it, the second was just full of big flies… I think it’s the worst Che among all those I visited.

I got bed bugs, and after being bitten all over my legs all the hostel did was move me to a different bed. They also didn't give me my deposit back, but that's my fault too as I forgot all about it until it was too late. To be completely fair, it's a good hostel otherwise. The rooftop is really good, good location, good A.C (9 till 9 I think) and it otherwise seemed clean enough. That promotes it to 2 stars, just.
