A very run down hostel close to the night market, the beds were inclosed by wood and a curtain, then you are to choose between air con or privacy. bathrooms were quite gross with black grout and a constant smell of dump. there was an dehumidifier that was not working ( even though the girl at reception said it was but it did not create even a drop of water from it in the 3 days I was there ) Believe me, I have dehumidifier in my house for decades and know when on is working or not. the bathroom situation was beyond bad. location says you’re in the center of ninh binh but there’s a reason why the other hostels are so far. my six person dorm was connected directly to a 10 person dorm and the door stayed open. the rooms were also very small. not good. ended up cancelling my second night here and just paid for another one in tam coc.

The location is bad. When you go to ninh binh you should stay in tam coc. We did our laundry at the hostel where the staff lost a pair of our trousers. They told us they would refund it but only refunded 100.000 vnd of the 2.000000 vnd. And then there was ants in the bottom beds in our hostel room.

Very cool outside area with friendly staff. However the rooms and especially the bathrooms were not very good. Especially the shower in the Toilet. In Summertime the outside shower rooms might work, but not in winter.

Not much to do in the centre so I’d recommend staying in Tam Coc instead. The facilities are ok and the staff are friendly. But when I asked about a Laos visa they tried to charge me €80 when it’s actually €40 (apparently the Laos embassy told them this). Watch out for laundry as they lost a couple of my items (I only realised this after so partly my fault) and I found a pair of someone’s pants in mine. Seulement deux douches pour tout l’hostel, dont une qui ne peut pas se fermer. Deux toilettes pour tout l’hostel, dont une où ne peut presque pas savoir à cause du manque de place. le seul lavabo est en plein milieu de l’espace de vie commune, où se retrouve la réception, le billard, et les tables à manger. Après notre séjours, nous nous sommes vu notre réservation annulé pour pas qu’on note l’hostel.

Staff were so amazing and incredibly helpful. Not the most social hostel but in a very nice location if you're looking for a chill evening

Charming family little hostel. Dorms of 4 are clean and quiet. The place is really calm and feels good. Hué is super helpful, adorable and has really great recommandations. Don’t hesitate to book the place :)

great hostel and the private room is incredible value and very clean. staff are very very kind and helpful. only slight issue is the location being far from Tam Coc but with the moped rental this is fine.

Nice vibes and kind hosts. Pool is tiny and was empty:( also couple ants in bed and a huge cockroach in toilet. Day tours are kind of expensive so I didn’t try. In Ninh Binh, would recommend staying in Tam Coc instead (nicer and closer to most attractions)

one of the kindest people i have ever met in my life Huy and his wife have been running it for 7 years together so it is a family business and i was treated so nicely here. 10/10 would go again

NO POOL! Good hostel if you want to stay in the town of ninh Binh! Quite outdated hostel( have seen better days) you could tell everyone stays in tam coc! One bathroom for 8 beds but there are more showers/toilets in the social area! Bike rental(no halfdays) Nice social and helpful staff. I bit messy with random stuff everywhere. Nice beds(capsule) but got very cramped in 8-doorm. Backpacks did not fit in the lockers. The grab had a hard time finding the hostel. No water refill( gives you tap)

Really nice family owned place near the night market. Scooters and bikes available to rent for getting to the scenic hotspots and the owner dropped me to the bus stop to travel on to my next location, highly recommended!

Staying at the Wafami Hostel was really an amazing experience! The host was super nice and he recommended us both where to go in the days we were there and some really good restaurants. We rented both bikes and a motorbike at the hostel and it was so easy going around from there to see everything. I strongly recommend this place! The hostels family is so friendly and so helpful for everything:))

Such a lovely atmosphere you can really tell the owners really care about everyone that stays with them.Everything was very clean and breakfast was delicious and the owner gave us information on what there is to do in Ninh Binh which is a great touch. The puppies were a nice touch as well.☺️

We got amazing help here!! From renting bikes (easily accessible, they have them in the hostel, and around 50min to the duck cafes etc), getting help booking Ha Long cruise and buses, she was so kind and was happy to help even though it was late at night the day before we wanted to go😅 They even ran out to give us the breakfast we bought since the car tried to leave. Loved the vibe of the hostel, it was clean, good AC, good breakfast options and again they were so kind to us.

I loved my stay here! It was a perfect way to get decompressed from the backpacking life. The staff are absolutely wonderful and very kind and helpful.

Lovely family run hostel, friendly vibes and staff, super helpful with planning activities in the area and rentals /buses etc. Highly reccomend.

Very lovely local business highly recommend. The owner was so kind. He offered us Vietnamese tea which was great and his dog had just had puppies!

Die Besitzer sind suuuper hilfsbereit, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Sie helfen schnell bei allerlei Problemen und geben Tipps bezüglich Ausflugszielen.Es gab kostenlos Trinkwasser zum auffüllen, einen netten Innenhof und eine nette Sitzgelegenheit für das Zusammenkommen. Die Netten sind sauber, die Spinde groß genug für Rucksäcke und die Lage ist auch gut. Etwas weg vom Trubel der Stadt, aber alles ist super zu erreichen, auch zu Fuß.

Very helpful hosts and nice enough spot. Clean bathroom. However there seemed to be a lot of moisture/dampness in the dorm and dead bugs on floor when I woke up one morning. Pool was also nonfunctional during my stay
