Trang An Mountain View Homestay

The owners are friendly, and I don’t like leaving a negative review, but I would have appreciated knowing certain things beforehand. The room door didn’t close properly, so I could hear everything from the stairwell. The beds were very hard, and there was only a thin blanket—I had to ask for an extra one because it was so cold at night. The bathroom wasn’t clean, and I had to take a cold shower twice. However, this only happened to me, not to other guests, so maybe I was just unlucky.

Me and my friend stayed for 2 nights. It was cold in the room, and we had to ask for sheets, they were not warming at all. The windows and doors in the house were always wide open so it never got a nice temperature inside. We really freeze. The family were nice and friendly and calling us family, but they also wanted alot of money for the stuff in the hostel, like the breakfast for example. We needed to pay 150 000 dong for renting bikes, in other hostels is like 30 000-50 000 dong. Ok stay.

Im 6er-Dormatory stand kein Fenster zur Verfügung bzw. war mit Fensterläden plus dickem Vorhang fest verschlossen - mit Hinweis auf den angeblichen Schutz der Gesundheit (?!); also nix mountain view! Es standen insgesamt nur 2 "Dusch-Klos" für sämtliche Gäste der etlichen Schlafsäle zur Verfügung. Es war bei Ankunft 17°C kalt im Dormatory - und die AC ließ sich 1 1/2 Tage lang nicht einschalten. Auf mein defektes Bettlicht wurde ich gleich bei Ankunft hingewiesen - und es wurde nich...

Wouldn’t recommend honestly, i was the only one there, scooters are 150,000 VND per day (feels kinda expensive to me). It felt like they were just tryna get as much money out of me as possible, for example the guy offered me to book a ride to hue, then said it will probably be too late to book a ride so I would have to stay another night at their place.

In the beginning the owners were nice and welcoming, but that changed very quickly. The man was very insistent and he wouldn’t leave us alone. He kept trying to convince us to stay for a whole week, even though we told him no multiple times. We felt really uncomfortable that they had to keep our passport over night. Besides that, they offered to drive us to the bus station, but they wanted double up the price than a real “grab”. The mom in the house was very nice. But we wouldn’t recomme...

Hosts were amazing, friendly people and their son is very sweet, food was also nice. The room was so cold in the night I kept waking up and they done my washing but it all came back dirty and stained.

Dealing with owner was hard, specially the lady, they push and try to sell you stuff and I don’t feel welcomed. I just didn’t like their attitude at all. They don’t speak English and communication is hard. Btw whatever they offer you they will charge for it! So ask before you use them! I didn’t enjoy staying there !

Dealing with the owner was challenging; they didn't speak English. On the bright side, the husband, who was friendly, was only available in the evenings. The beds in the shared bedrooms were uncomfortably firm, and the entire building is tilted, causing uneven floors.

Accueil chaleureux dans cette très bonne auberge. Les chambres sont propres et la salle de bain (partagée pour les dortoirs ) est correcte. Plein de restaurants à côté mais c'est un peu loin du centre. Le roof top est super. Attention aux moustiques par contre !

This was a great hostel. The location made it a bit out of the way but perfectly in between two wonderful areas. The bike rental is a bit high but is worth it in my opinion as you can really get anywhere in not much time. The family is lovely, the room is clean, the bathroom is good. Has large lockers and feels safe!

Our stay at Trang a Mountain View were one of the best we’ve had so far. They welcomed us with open arms and offered us tea and fruit when we arrived. We felt like a part of their family. They always tried to help regardless of new years. The rooms were ok, a bit cold and the beds could have been comfier but still - our stay here was one of the best thanks to the family who owned the place

Location is okay. Far from the city, but close to nature There was some restaurant in the area, but not much to choose form. The rom is ok, uncomfortable bed and pillows, but beautiful view. There was no bar or restaurant as the property description says. We rented bicycles for two days. Both days we got one that was okay and one broken (no bra a loose seat), and they were a bit expensive. At checkout at 7:30, no staff was awake, the gate was locked, which we were not informed about.

A beautiful homestay and the people who own it are very warm and friendly! Would definetely recommend this to everyone!

Rooftop views are elite. Great location, helpful and friendly hosts. I had a whole dorm to myself for the 3 nights I was there which was a plus. Bathroom/shower average

This was a great place to stay. The hosts were insanely kind and welcoming, the location was prime for those looking to be close to the sights but out of the busyness and the view from the rooftop was insane! 10/10

We were treated amazingly when around the hostel and made to feel very welcome. Was also very easy to rent bikes which were perfect for the area!

Really lovely family that run this hostel. They try and keep it a family atmosphere. Have scooters to rent. Nothing social organised so not too much of a social atmosphere. Beds are rock hard 😂 I had some really noisy girls in my dorm which meant I didn’t have a good night. I moved to a different place on the river. Not in a scenic location, doesn’t really have views or anything.

Super lovely family to stay with and super accommodating. I got in late coming from Ha Giang (2am) and I was able to check in seamlessly. Beautiful location and have motorbikes or bicycles to rent. Definitely would stay here again!

Very sweet family and clean rooms and bathrooms. The only downside is that the beds are extremely uncomfortable, they’re very hard. So I don’t recommend staying more than 1 or 2 nights.

Lovely family-run home stay. Balcony at the top has brilliant views. Dorms are spacious although bathroom is basic. Nice location out of the busier main towns. Good food options nearby too!

An amazing Homestay with such a lovely family. They welcome you in like you are part of their family and go above and beyond to help you enjoy your stay. Slightly out of town but the bicycle rental is perfect as the roads around the hostel are the best to cycle around

The mountain terrain is one of the most beautiful things I've later my eyes on, as the hostel provides the perfect vieuw. The staff concist of a loving family of three, a father,mother and son. Together they make you feel as if you are a part of them. The surroundings are calm and peaceful yet if you seek a feast, you can always find one. I would recommend this hostel to those that seek peace and quiet, yet want adventure on a whim. I am grateful I've got to stay there.
