MiChoc Homestay - Hostel

This hostel is filthy and the staff just ignore you or laugh at you when you raise concerns. They do not change the bed sheets between guests. We saw the staff fold the bed sheets without changing them after the other guests checked out and then giving those beds to new guests as if they are fresh. When we arrived I specifically asked if our beds are clean because we were dubious about it and they smelled unclean and we were told by staff yes they are fresh. But they are filthy and disgust...

The overall cleanliness of the home stay was very poor. The sheets were all stained and dusty and the floor of our dorm was covered in dust and crumbs. The place had a musty smell and the downstairs area was covered in cat p** and rubbish. The people were very helpful and did their best to accommodate any questions that we had. If you are looking for a lively and social stay this is definitely not the place, the location didn’t help as it was very far from any attractions or other hostels.

Property was not clean at all - hairs and blister plasters were found in the bed, the walls had multiple holes in them and my friend’s bed had an electrical wire above it poking out of the ceiling. No soap at the sinks either. Location was fine if you want to be in actual Ninh Binh but not ideal if you want to be visiting Tam Coc/surrounding areas. Don’t stay if you’re allergic to cats because they were free roaming and came into our room

I went here because my other hostel got cancelled. I walked in and walked out again. There were simply no people in the hostel. None. Stay in Tam Coc, it's a much better place to book your hostel. The dorms and bed seemed okay though

Flexible check-in was the only real plus — we arrived at 3 AM with no issues. The staff was also very friendly and gave us great recommendations on places to visit. Unfortunately, cleanliness was very poor, especially the bathrooms, which were dirty and had doors that didn’t close. The room smelled strongly of mold. Breakfast was very limited (only the coffee was decent). Location is okay, though far from main attractions.

Bon établissement dans l’ensemble. location gratuite de vélo, bon petit déjeuner et fontaine à eau. Nous n’avons croisé aucun autre voyageur lors de notre séjour, la salle de bain n’était pas propre du tout.

It is a good hostel. They could put more afford in the social area.

Lovely hostel We had a room of 10 to the 4 of us. Bathrooms really clean and beds really nice and big But there was works going on so we were woken up to loud banging and drilling at 7.15 am Breakfast was nice too - egg and toast with some veg

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 The most accommodating staff in Ninh Binh! Highly recommend! We arrived on a night bus and checked in at 1 AM with zero issues, the staff was totally understanding and welcoming. The after-checkout service is what really blew us away, though. We had a late departure the next day, and they let us store our luggage in their unit all day for free. When we came back to collect our bags, they let us play pool and take a free shower before we left, even though we had already che...

lovely family hostel, i felt very welcome and safe:) comfy beds, maybe not the cleanest bathroom area, but all the rest made up for it. would come again.

The Hostel was fantastic, the room and bathroom were very nice and clean. The best part of the stay was the staff from the hostel. The guy who runs the hostel is very friendly and always tries to help you with everything.

Had a great stay at this property, nice atmosphere and evenings with the family. Bed was comfy and clean, also rented a moped them which was handy.

Great homestay ran by a great family.I had a great time at Mi Choc, the beds are comfortable and spacious and all essential amenities are provided. What makes Mi Choc special is the the owner, Há Trung and his family who welcomed me to great meals and not only made me feel part of the family but part of the whole community!A truly wonderful experience that I won't forget anytime soon!

Wunderbar! Es ist ein kleines, süßes Hostel in der Stadt. Man kann Fahrräder und Motorräder ausleihen und einen Transfer Vorort buchen. Es hah alles hervorragend funktioniert, auch als wir erst mitten in der Nacht eingecheckt haben. Durften unser Gepäck am Abreisetag noch dort lassen und Duschen gehen/das ganze Zimmer benutzten. Empfehlenswert und sehr sehr freundlich! Besitzer spricht super Englisch!
