Hostel Folks

I stayed here for one night and it was a nightmare. The first thing I noticed was the bedbugs. I tried to kill them, but I was still bitten during the night and woke up with itchy, painful skin. This alone makes the hostel unacceptable. The women’s bathroom is only one, it smelled awful, and the elevator was broken—stairs only. The room was listed as two singles but actually had one double bed. I paid for the washing machine, yet a staff member repeatedly questioned me, demanded my room number, and treated me like a thief. Completely unprofessional and humiliating. The room had zero soundproofing—tram noises, snoring, and other guests’ voices were loud all night. Trash and hair from previous guests were left on the floor and bed, dust everywhere, walls filthy. The shared bathroom and kitchen were disgusting and musty. The room was unbearably hot. There is also a club on the ground floor, making it very noisy at night. When I briefly went outside in the evening, a group of drunk people confronted me—it felt unsafe. I will never stay here again.
