Dongshan Gaga Hostel

Stay away - don't even stay here if it's your last resort. My room was disgusting - dust, roaches, and growth in the shower. When I was checking in, the receptionist burped loudly, like it was a casual thing to do. The wifi is shaky, and the kitchen is just ok. You are better off paying $20 to stay at a hotel

Not a great travelling hostel, no vibe and it seemed there were more people livong there than travellers. They don't provide any towels during your stay and tell you to get one from the market. Had to make your own bed and the sheets didn't fit the mattress

Crazy that there are only 3 hostels on the website in a 18 milion city. Old facilities, dirty showers and toilets and looks like no maintenance. Bed felt clean but matres was only 4 cm thick. One of the worst hostels i have been, qualiry wise, Staff was cute and helpfull, english okay but not great.

The hotel never replied to any of my emails. Rude staff. Dead atmosphere. They even want you to bring your bedding to reception when checking out - I don’t work there, lol!

It was not the best experience and definitely a terrible room. It smelled like pee, and one guy had his permanent residency there and only left the room at night only to come back early in the morning, very disturbing. We also washed our clothes, but the dryer was rusty and ruined most of it. The staff though, was absolutely amazing. They helped us clean our clothes, after the dryer ruined it, and made the hostel owner pay for it, even though the he did not want to, and blamed us for wrong use

Es un lugar en un barrio no tan bonito, el sitio tenía demasiada humedad, se ve que no lo asean en forma constante, realmente estaba cansada para buscar otro sitio

Overall it's not bad, but I booked an all-female dorm and lo and behold, there was a man in the bed next to me.

The place is near to the city center and metro Yangji. They need to use Chemical products to clean the toilet and shower. Smell is not to good. They just change the trash. For cleaning the floor they need to use Vacuum Cleaner. Coz behind of the mattress and the toilet door is hairs, trash, and a lot of dust.

The floor of the room smelled like rotten shoes and rotten eggs. There were a lot of mosquitoes and the hostel did a poor job of pest control. There aren't a lot of travelers here, more long term guests. There was a long term guest in my room who would eat in the room at night, stay up all night, watch videos and listen to music with the speakers out loud. Very noisy. It is suggested that hostels can separate long-term guests and travelers. You may hear the sound of metro trains when you sleep.

It's enjoyable staying there, but the wifi is very slow. Almost every night there is noise from above my room like dragging chairs and playing ping pong. The noise kept going until around 1am.

I spent 6 nights and felt really chill. The rooms are ok, just with the enough of what I was expecting. I loved the neighborhood life, the market, the small restaurants, and the metro station that it's right next to the hostel. The people from the hostel were very friendly and helpful.

A place to sleep and store luggage. This is the ideal place. The neighborhood is is with restaurants and shops. Subway just a block away. I will return.

The bed is wayyyyy too hard, it’s almost like sleeping on concrete. Most residents there are living there and not many travelers. Would be better if they separate the long term residents and the travellers. Note that this hostel does not accept cards so sign up for Alipay or WeChat pay or take out enough cash before you come. Other than that it’s not bad, quite convenient location, clean place, decent price.

L’auberge est super bien située, pleins de petits commerce autour, de rue piétonne et autres. La chambre n’est pas très équipé mais cela suffit amplement. Bon rapport qualité prix. A 5 min à pied du métro je recommande !

Es ist praktisch und ruhig Mitarbeiter hilfsbereit auch wenn wenig englisch gesprochen wird Zimmer sind sauer und es hat auch eine Küche. Wi-fi funktioniert nicht so gut.

The best of this hostel is the very friendly stuffs. You have questions, they got answers with patience and smile. I’m very appreciative to their excellent service. The location is convenient. Easy walk to many restaurants and street vendors and street massagers. a 20 mins walk to grand palace. It’s a party place, they play very loud music from late afternoon to 11 pm. I was tired, surprisingly, I fell in sleep through the loud hard beat disco music., many people drinking at bar and play ga...

I just stayed there for one night.The location is good and it is in the community.and is just 2 stations away from the canton tower. But the wall is too thin and we can hear the other's customers' conversation.The staff is friendly.
