Fuqi Hostel - Yuanqi

For me the beds were a large problem of my stay. There made out of thin wood walls with thin very hard mattresses. Had the worst sleep here because you can here everything and everybody. Besides that it is a social hostel with a nice common area

- Mixed dorm is noisy. Has an attic above it with more beds in there (and people have to go through the dorm to use the stairs). Also another room behind it - people walk through the dorm to access that room. Very disruptive at night. - Air conditioning is locked by staff. You have to request the temperature to be adjusted. Too hot. - lock on shared dorm room doest work (keypad appears to be just for show - you can push it open. Lockers flimsy, missing keys. - mosquitos in dorm

Overall my stay wasn’t too pleasant. Firstly the staff are really nice and helpful and they made my stay worthwhile here. The dorm arrangement is poor. People have to walk up wooden stairs in the dorm room to another dorm so all night you have people waking you up even with ear plugs. There were a lot of mosquitoes in my room too and no net so they had a feast on me! Atmosphere was nonexistent. It’s a nice looking place inside but just lacking in key areas like dorm setup and the vibe sadly...

Le personnel est très sympathique, le lieu est convivial. Le seul bémol est la poussière dans le lit et le manque d’aération dans le dortoir de 10 personnes.

My stay was totally okay but, they promote for free postcards if you give them five-star ratings, which I think is not okay! The bed wasn't so comfy and the blanket was a blank one, like the ones you have on your couch, no cover. The room was also a bit smelly.

Good location in the city. Walkable from train station. Not much atmosphere despite some nice communal areas. Has a lot of potential. Annoying roommate who seemed to sleep all day then noisily organise his life at night. Had to bollock him a couple of times.

A lovely hostel in a beautiful traditional Chinese home, a special thank you to Han, Elena, Mickey and Tony who made me feel especially welcome. The atmosphere could be better but literally everything else was great.

Good overall

Nice hostel, great location the wet market is just across street from the hostel. I'll come back.

Fuqi Hostel is a great location to stay, if you want to explore Tainan. It has a lovely atmosphere, clean rooms and the facilities are well maintained. I really enjoyed my stay there :)

Really nice and helpful staff. Pleasant and clean hostel. Would definitely stay here again. Would recommend!

Loved this place but the only thing is that the beds aren’t the best. Spoke to a manager later about it and he was like you can always just ask for a thicker mattress next time

Super cute hostel, loved the common space with the little hangout loft. Staff was helpful, the hostel was clean, beds were comfy and I liked the location. Our dorm was all the way at the top in this attic room which was hard to get to but actually very cute. Would stay again!

enjoyed our stay here, the guy at reception was lovely. free water and laundry on the roof which was perfect. dorm rooms were nice and clean. 20 minute walk from the main station. good location to get to everyone we wanted to visit in Tainan

The Fuqi Hostel in Tainan is the greatest hostel I have been to in my whole travel in Taiwan! It is super authentic, very cozy, has three comfortable chillout areas and lots of details in authentic decoration. The showers and toilets are numerous and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Beds are nice, the mattresses are very firm but not uncomfortable. The A/C in the dorm is unfortunately switched off from 11am to 3pm. The common areas have no A/C. But ventilators are set up everywher...

I love Fuqi! Staff was super friendly and I loved the setup and location of the hostel.
