D'Nova Hotel @ Kallang

Wenn ihr junge Backpacker seit geht NICHT in das Hostel. Fast nur 40 jährige Männer in dem Hostel und auch in der Umgebung. Als 18 jährige weiße Person wurde ich immer komisch angeguckt und habe mich unwohl gefühlt. Das Personal war super unhöflich und ich musste 10 Minuten warten bis mein Check In gestartet wurde obwohl das Personal an der Rezeption war und mein Key Deposit von 10 SGD hä ich nicht wieder bekommen.

Location is terrible, neighborhood is scary

One of the cheapest hostels in Singapore, but still super expensive for what you get!

A guy at reception on the second day was great help with bus schedules. A woman at reception as I was checking out was very rude when asked about using the lobby bathroom after checking out and could not be bothered to check bus and or train to airport. She was just there pretending to be customer service. Why is she in customer service?. No hot water. Bathroom was so tight.

Terrible stay. My bed was wet from an open pipe dripping water from the ceiling. When I advised staff, she told me there was nothing they could do, weren't interested and wouldn't change my beds even though there were spare. I slept in a half wet bed all night with the pipe dripping. All toilets had nil stock of toilet paper. When I came back from a day out in the city I asked for a towel. They would not given me one for a shower even when I offered to pay. The bunks ladders are a hazar...

it was bad. but it is the cheapest hostel in Singapore, so if you REALLY need to budget, it will do the job.

Honestly would not recommend if you are not a man. The hostel itself was fine (relatively clean, friendly staff), but I have never felt so unsafe in an area while travelling—we were constantly stared at and catcalled by groups of men. It was to the point where my friend and I would come back before nightfall to feel a bit safer—it put a bit of a damper on what was a lovely country and experience overall. If you’re a woman, I’d suggest spending a bit extra to stay in a different area.

would definitely not recommend, it is the tiniest place i have ever stayed in, was in a room of 6 and you can’t have more the 1 person out of bed at a time because there’s no room! was clean though and friendly staff on reception

I've never complained before but this hostel was definitly way to expensive for what it is. The staff was not helpfull and not flexible at all. It was clean and pretty comfortable but honestly would not recomand it at all.

Just okay for a couple of days, not longer. Staff always referred to the manager which was not so often available. Rooms were VERY small.

The air in the room was hella wet, so the bed was wet also. We couldn’t open a window to fix it. Also we had black mold because of the wet air at the walls.

I only slept there one night after late flight. Small dorms, and the bathroom stinks like you can't breath. And the bathroom door is right next to the beds. Otherwise okay for one night.

The receptionist are very friendly and they try their best to help you because they don't speak very much English. The beds arent really stable and comfortable, it's so heavy to go in the upper bed. The bathroom is tiny, not very tidy as well and you can hear a constant dropping noise coming from the pipes (it's really annoying). At least I have to say for Singapur the area isn't really safe but for the price its okey for one night or just a small stop over.

Located in a nice hotel, but very basic dorm. Beds were shaking everytime someone was moving and the room was very narrow. But still a good place to stay if you are looking for a budget-friendly place in Singapore.

Does the job but wouldn’t recommend

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms. Linnen and towels clean. The four weman room is very small, about 10 sqm. No table, no chair, no hooks on the wall. Very low furnished.

Overall it was a good stay. As other reviews have mentioned, it is extremely cramped. There isn’t enough room on the floor to get in to your suitcase easily and could be annoying when you have multiple people trying to access the bathroom, their beds and the door to get out at once. The hostel was very clean however there was mould on the ceiling above my bed from where people had been drying their wet clothes. This is in issue in general as the humidity in Singapore means it was quite damp.

Nice Hotel with a good price for Singapore. If you are looking for more space and community, you should look for another place. Many business people from around the world, view families and people who travel. I meet very interesting people The kitchen has a fridge, hot and cold water: what I want to say simple but ok if you go to all the food places around

clean, comfy and good location. We booked 6 beds in a female dorm, months in advance, but when we arrived they charged us an extra 60 dollars to all be in the one room.

Malgré le prix attractif pour Singapour, je ne recommande pas cet hôtel, à cause de ses pratiques douteuses. J'avais réservé 6 lits pour ma famille dans un dortoir mixte de 6 lits. Les responsables nous on séparé dans 2 chambres, afin de nous inciter à payer 25% de plus pour que mon mari puisse dormir dans la même chambre que nous. Le 6e lit du dortoir est resté vacant 3 nuits sur les 4 que nous avons passé ici. Par ailleurs, les casiers ne sont absolument pas sécurisés.
