Camar Cottage & Hostel

This property is very out the way from anything which isn’t great. The bathrooms are semi outside so they are filled with flies and mosquitos so always need to make sure they are closed. The front doors to each dorm are sliding doors that don’t fully close so also let in mosquitos ect. The beds were clean and the room was actually alright. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again was too far out from anything and the bugs weren’t great.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. So kind and friendly. Just the location there’s not much there and there was also not many people staying there so socialising as a solo traveller was difficult

it’s good if you stay one night but wouldn’t recommend for solo travellers, there is nothing nearby and no social vibe at all. the guests area is “nice and fancy” but there is not a shared space to meet others, basically only couples or group of friends. rooms are ok and two bathrooms per dorm, you get one closer with lock but only one key per dorm. the staff barely speaks english and have not really much to offer, but they rent scooters

Had an OK stay here but I wouldn't come back here.

The hostel is nice but there is no common area or anyone to talk to. It’s a ways off the main road. Power was off until 7pm so no air conditioning or lights for most of my stay.

Unterkunft war etwas außerhalb, ohne Roller nicht möglich hinzukommen. Auch der Weg zur Unterkunft sehr holprig. Besitzerin war sehr nett und zuvorkommend! Kaum andere Touristen.

Leider viele Geckos im Zimmer und etwas abgelegen (aber auf dem Weg vom Hafen Richtung Kelingking Beach). Sehr nette Besitzerin und Familie, unkomplizierte Rollervermietung.

Camar cottage has been a lovely stay. Iluh was an amazing host, very helpful and friendly. The hostel rooms were spacious with 2 bathrooms for a 4 man room and cleaned regularly. Iluh had great communication via WhatsApp and got in touch prior our stay to organise a taxi for us. The location of the hostel is very remote, making it challenging to get transport, however, Iluh offered her services to organise transport or even take us personally on her scooter. We were very grateful for this!

Mitarbeiter waren wirklich sehr nette hilfsbereit. Haben mich nachts abgeholt noch und haben wir noch was zu essen gemacht

Die Zimmer sind schön groß & man hat sogar 2 Badezimmer (wir waren im 4-Bettzimmer),die Frauen die das organisieren sind super lieb und hilfsbereit. Scooter kann man vor Org mieten und Laundry kann man auch abgeben!! Ging bei uns alles super schnell.

Een 10 voor gastvrijheid! Wat een lieve eigenaren die er alles aan doen om je een fijn verblijf te geven. Ligging is iets verder maar met een scooter prima te doen.

I stayed here for a little less than a week and loved my stay at Camar’s hostel. The location is beautiful, quiet and open, the rooms are very clean and Camar is the sweetest woman, she gave plenty of great recommendations and tips to get around Nusa and provided us with everything we needed. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful bungalows and a lovely host who was there for all our questions and problems at all times. Would love to go there again!! :)

Staff are super friendly, helped us organise day trips for reasonable prices. Very clean, spacious room. Only downside is there isn’t a pool. Overall very nice stay.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Le personnel est adorable et est prêt à vous aider à n’importe quel moment. Les chambres sont propres et les lits confortables. Les chambres (pour 4 personnes) disposent de 2 salles de bain. Le seul point négatif est l’emplacement, l’auberge est éloigné des comodités, il est indispensable d’avoir un scooter.

Staff were so lovely! Really helpful with renting scooters and organising taxis etc. Private room was lovely, very big with loads of room. Really clean too. Water always available. A bit out of the way if you don’t ride scooters and a fairly quiet hostel, no social interaction/events.

Really enjoyed staying here! the place was clean, the beds were comfortable and there was hot showers!! Slightly out of the way, but that’s the same as any other hostel in Nusa Penida. I left my Apple Watch in the hostel and the staff were extremely kind and accommodating, they were able to find my watch and mail it to me! Definitely recommend staying here if you are in nusa Penida :)

Loved our stay here! Staff were so kind and helpful organising taxis, island tours and ferry tickets. Rooms were so cute, huge bedrooms with 2 bathrooms each! So cool to have a little bungalow for yourself too and breakfast was yummy. Hostel wasn't really walking distance from anything bar one restaurant but easy enough to get a taxi. Atmosphere was very peaceful and serene

Das Hostel wird von einer super netten Familie geleitet. Das Hostel ist optimal, wenn man Ruhe und Entspannung will. Ich weiß nicht, ob es an Nusa Penida liegt oder an dem Hostel aber man braucht für alles einen Fahrer. Aber die Familie ist dabei super hilfreich. Dadurch dass es so klein und gemütlich ist haben wir auch viele Leute kennengelernt.
